I would start with

or

Run this to help if it identifies the cause

I have updated my iphone and now i am unable to sync my ringtones.... i have read the apple support and have tried all of the tips
uncheck and sync then re check ringtones and then sync again - No
tried making the ringtones again and saving to computer then drag and drop into iphone - then sync - NOTHING
.......My question is can i go back to the old operating system (at least i know that my iphone work ) or is there a fix to this problem yet
GRRRRRRR just want my ringtones back!!!!!!!
thanks chrisBacking up your photos to iPhoto on the Mac isn't "as a precaution": it should be totally normal behaviour. You wouldn't use a digital camera as the permanent and only location of your photos, so why would you treat the digital camera in your phone any differently?

i just updated my software to maverick and my iTunes to the most recent version and i can no longer transfer songs from my iTunes to my iPod. The tracks stay gray with a stagnant circle beside them in the left column. Any ideas?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device. -
I just updated my iphone to ios7 and I keep getting stuck at the 'Set up your iPhone' screen. I click 'Restore from Itunes Backup', but it only ends up restarting after restoring and fails to get past the 'Set up your iPhone' screen. Any ideas?
Normally, I would suggest restoring the iPad and uninstall and reinstall iTunes but you have done both of those things - more times than you ever imagined!
Have you thought about turning auto syncing off?
Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Edit. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
If you do this you can backup the iPad right away before it syncs. You may want to go into all of the iTunes tabs and just make sure that all of the current content on the iPad is selected to sync before you actually do sync.
This doesn't solve the problem, but it would prevent the automatic sync and erasing content. Hopefully, in the next few days- when iOS 5 is released - you will also be relieved of this weird iPad behavior - since the iOS devices are supposed to become PC free.
BTW - and this is no excuse for what you are experiencing, but I have found that some of the game apps that I had on my iPad turned out to be quite troublesome and after I removed them, my problems went away. I know that is almost sacrilege with regard to the Angry Birds addiction .... But I'm just saying ... -
I have install last update for i pod(ios5) but during installation there was one problem....i have restore my ipod and now i have lost all my buyed music!!Is not possible download it....?What are the details, including any error messages, related to your question?
Have you not got the music on your computer and/or on backups on, for example, external drives or CDs/DVDs ?

I just restored my ipod and backed it up but it still says connect to itunes
I just restored my ipod and backed it up but it still says connect to itunes.Help.
If the restore was successful, that is went through all the steps without errors then likely:
Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)
Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. . -
i was trying to update/restore my ipod and now i plug it in and it stays frozen on the usb to itunes picture. and when i plug it in it dosnt come up in itunes how do i fix this? any suggestions are appreciated
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I'm trying to restore my iPod and the update says it's going to take 9 hours and then after 2 hours or less it will say something about "unable to finish update." Why is this?? My iPod is a 3rd generation that I got from my brother and even when I download an app that doesn't require my iPod to be an iOs 4.3, it will download, but it won't open.

I just bought my cousin's ipod, and I want to update it on my computer. However, it needs authorization from his account to keep all the apps, and he's already authorized it on 5 computers. How can I update this ipod without losing all the apps?
You cannot use someone else's apps without violating the license agreement. The apps are tied to the owner (via Apple ID). The right thing to do would be to update and start fresh.

this morning i tried to restore my ipod and it said:"the ipod "ipod cannot be restored at this time because the ipod software update server could not be contacted or is temporarily unavalible." i have no idea what to do and i need help.
Update Server
Try:
- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
Public DNS — Google Developers
OpenDNS IP Addresses
- For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem -
I just restored my ipod and the power button works, as well as the home button but when I slide the unlock button it doesn't respond. Basically it is not sensing that I am touching it and I can not get out of the home screen. I've tried restoring it and restarting it but nothing seems to work. I've tried everything, is there anything I can do myself to fix it?

Basically that's the question. I have a new install I have to decide on shortly and we are considering using openSSO in place of the JES access manager. Some of the reason is availability of source. I am looking for comments of anyone who has fitted
