Try resetting the Nano with it still connected to a high powered USB 2.0 port on your PC. To reset the iPod, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

I am so glad that I ran across your post. I had been reading "solutions" to this problem all day, and most of them said to install/unistall/re-install itunes! No way! I knew there had to be an easier way, and you had it. Just a few clicks, and that was it.

Or you may obtain iWork '09 DVD package from Amazon online et al. Sold at very low price now. It is really worth it. Don't forget to apply the iWork 9.0.3 updater after intalling it.

You have to install and RUN the iPhoto Library updater - it is installed in the utilities folder of your applications folder - double click on it to RUN it and then launch iPhoto to complete the upgrade

I just uninstalled it and am waiting for it to reinstall. I sincerely hope that I have not lost everything that I worked on so hard. Now that mobile me is gone, I have not been able to go between devices to transfer things. I was merely trying to take a document I had worked on and open it in pages, but it said my version was too old. When I updated, it wouldn't load. Now I cannot do anything. Shut down and reboot your iOS (press and hold the wake/sleep button and when prompted, slide to poweroff and then press and hold the wake/sleep button to reboot).
Go look what had happen with your apps. Maybe it's ok. If not, tap and hold its icon and then tap the X to delete it from your iOS device and redownload it from the app store (no charge for that).
Juste to let you know, your description state iPad2 but you are in the forum for iPod.

I didn't realise the earlier versions still worked. I know that when I upgraded to Mavericks I then had to upgrade from iPhoto 9.4.3 to 9.5 in order for it to work. I guess we need to know which version Ibarber4 is currently having problems with.
