Same problem on im iPhone4 / iOS6 with normal camera!
The camera takes a picture but the picture (video) doesnt appear in my Photos and therefore is not saved!

If the center portion of the monitor is flickering then your GPU on the logic is bad or (unlikely given this symptom) that your monitor cable is pinched/damaged.
**Imediately backup ALL your important data while you can still see things on the monitor
Contact Apple for appt. for in shop diagnostics for full examination and for parts replacement
nobody can give you a cost on a repair that isnt fully diagnosed online and cannot be.
perform SMC reset just to check:
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.

I can't use the scroll feature built into my touchpad on my laptop, it works with everything else, including a pdf within firefox and the old 3.6 version of firefox but not in the new one. Does anyone know how to fix this?

The touchpad has a built in feature where when i move my finger over the far right, it scrolls instead of using the mouse. It has been faultless with everything before now, but doesnt work on webpages in Firefox 4, but does in pdfs open within firefox. I can only assume therefore it is the browsers problem not mine. The touchpad is a synaptics pointing device. If this is a browser problem then looks like firefox 4 wont be for me :(

Apparently it's related to the Firefox plug in.
This isn't exactly a solution but more of a way to avoid opening PDFs with Firefox's plug in.
1. Highlight "Tools" from the Menu Bar in the top left of the screen (or click "Options" if using the Firefox Compact Menu)
2. Select to "Options
3. Select "Applications"
4. Look for "Adobe Acrobat Document" under Content Type and to the right under Action select "Use Adobe Reader (default)" instead of the using Adobe Acrobat in Firefox
5. Open a test PDF. It should open in it's own window now.
Again, not a complete solution but something that'll at least let you scroll with PDFs open.

Yes closing Mail and reopening it does then allow the message to go out but I can clearly see that is going to be rather difficult with sending abut 20-30 emails a day! One observation is that it seems to happen more often with attachments.

I was fooling around with Lightroom and it has a tethering option. I tried it and it worked. But I am still reading my camera manual as you recommeded.

I just got a new white iphone 4. When I try to take a video using the camera app, there is only a muffled sound. I never had this problem with my old iphone. There is a good possibility that your trimming of the SIM card could have damaged it some way. If the SIM was working in the old phone, then you cut it and the first new phone didn't work and now this phone doesn't work, it leads me to believe it has to do with the SIM card or the account. You are sure there is no problem with the account. Did you check with the provider when you got the iPhone 4 to make sure there was no problem with the account when you could not send or receive SMS? Why can't you just get a micro-sim? The iPhone should have come with one when you purchased it.The iPhone 4 is designed for a micro-sim. I don't believe this is a hardware problem unless the phone has been hacked or modified in some manner.

I updated today to the 5.0.1 and now when I try to sync to ITunes, it doesn't recognize my phone and an error message comes up saying that "This iPhone cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started.' After contacting Apple, I received a reply from their engineers:
Copy QTMovieWin.dll from: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
to: C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
And that did the trick.

i figured out a solution if anyone is having the same problem
go to preferences in mail
pick the mail account that is not sending
if your outgoing mail server states it offline as mine did
click the dropdown and than click edit smtp
a window will come up that says account information and advanced
click advanced
renter your password and ok
restart your computer - when it restarts it will send emails

You have to delete the corrupt back-up so iTunes can at least back-up the current data on the iPhone and then restore it. Search these forums, there a several good posts on how to delete the corrupt back-up.

It is highly unlikely that any iOS update could cause this.
Try a restore as new, if the problem persists, take the device to Apple for evaluation.

I have windows and since the newest update to itunes, it just freezes pretty much when ever i try to do anything with it. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
