Because that app is no longer included in the iOS. You have to go to the App store and purchase the free YouTube app.

HELP. I updated my ipod and now it doesn't work

I updated my ipod recently, and the next day when I tried to turn it on the ipod froze on a picture of do not disconnect (similiar to the picture when the ipod is connected to a computer, but it was in black and white and "flat" looking)
I plugged it back in and charged the ipod fully. It seemed like it should be working until i tried turning it on again. This time it froze on tge start image of just the apple and then finally faded out strangely and went blank. I'm leaving for a trip tomorrow and sorta need my music

- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers

- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem

Try reseting your device.
Hold the power button and the home button down until the device shuts off, then power it back on and see if the problem is resolved.

Try resetting the Nano with it still connected to a high powered USB 2.0 port on your PC. To reset the iPod, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

Sorted it out. I just uninstalled it and am waiting for it to reinstall. I sincerely hope that I have not lost everything that I worked on so hard. Now that mobile me is gone, I have not been able to go between devices to transfer things. I was merely trying to take a document I had worked on and open it in pages, but it said my version was too old. When I updated, it wouldn't load. Now I cannot do anything. I hope that the reinstall fixes it without losing everything. Please advise!!! Yes, I am in panic mode.

Now I have to click on an icon on the top, This is a backward step if that is now the only way to see the number of items. Am I missing something obvious?

In the good old days of Snow Leopard, an open Finder folder had a border along the bottom of the window which could show the number of items in that window and the total available space on the hard disk or partition that folder resides on. That bottom border is gone in Lion and those two bits of information are gone with it. Is that what you're talking about? If so, I'd like to learn how to get it back too and "Show Item Info" is not the way.
