I just updated Photo Shop but can't access it.

When I click on Photo Shop it takes me to the page for downloading Photo Shop. But it's already on my computer if I updated it right?

There is no application that I know of that would compress your files.
I was not asking about compression - I was talking about a lossless transition of the Aperture library as a library. The library is more than the collection of RAW photos. There are years of work in the edits and organization.
All images are in limbo - edited versions paired with original master files. A successful transit needs to preserve the master-version pairs and save the edits.
The Aperture library has an organization that we want token - folders, albums, smart albums.
Plenty of metadata - keywords, captions, ratings
M of D cannot open Aperture 2.1.4 on Yosemite to export the edited version. At best the Master folder can be extracted. It will be a mess of nested folders. It will not be possible to export the edited versions associated with the metadata, without the upgrade. I migrated old iPhoto Libraries to Aperture, before the unified library had been introduced, and it was a pain. No master-version pairs, no timezone support in iPhoto, lost places tags. Essentially I had to do the complete library organization and tagging again. And after the unified library has been released, I discarded all previously migrated photos, upgraded the old iPhoto libraries to version 9.3 and migrated the libraries again, and finally had a lossless transition.
CaptureOne, afaik, supports migration from Aperture 3, but my question was, how it supports migration from Aperture 2. I am very skeptical, since the libraries are so different, if it will be supported at all. And Apple did not say anything, if migration from Aperture 2 to the new Photos.app will be supported.

I tried updating Photo Shop but it says, "Errors, please try again or contact support."

I try updating and I hit learn more and it says Download errors, Press retry to try again or contact support, I need to download Photoshop.

While you wait for someone who knows this issue, supply some basic information.

Adobe product and version number
Operating system and version number
The full text of any error message(s)
What you were doing when the problem occurred
Screenshots of the problem
Computer hardware, such as CPU; GPU; amount of RAM; etc.

4 go down to iTunes and right click on Show Package Contents
5 open contents folder then go to mac os folder
6 open the terminal marked iTunes in that folder
This should force it to open and function enough, it will not allow importing of music from a desk top

Round & round in circles I go trying to understand the logic behind the variuos stages of trying to get to grips with (I thought) a connection to Icloud for storing my photos & perhaps other things. Boy, was I wrong. I have installed on my PC anIcloud icon or is it an APP which I have tried to log on to. I set up an ID & password but this dosn't work as I do not have an account. When I tried to access this the caption said not recognised altho my name appeared at the heading. Am I going mad?? Can any one explain how to successfully get into the Icloud for storage?? I can confirm the problem you are hitting. The XML test trace does not get recognized at all, and it defaults to Eclipse's basic Open File behaviour. I am not sure if it's because the format definition is missing, or if it's because something prevents the trace type from being recognized. I will open a bug about it.

What OS version? What's the exact error? Exactly when does the error occur? What previous versions? What is on the screen when the error displays? Does Photoshop get fully open?
Try opening Photoshop holding down Shift key immediately to turn off plug-ins. Lots of good suggestions here: Photoshop: Basic Troubleshooting steps to fix most issues

Were you able to reset the account's password ? If not then how did you try to get it reset e.g. http://iforgot.apple.com (which would have sent it to the rescue email address if you have one on that account) ? You can also try contacting iTunes Support in your country to get it reset : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
And no, accounts can't be merged nor content transferred between accounts.

Thanks for the help. The restore seems to have solved the problem. I had a bit of a panic attack when things started going haywire and the Apple 'Support' told me to call back during business hours!

What were you running before you updated? 10.10.2, or an earlier version of OS X (10.9 or earlier)?
If 10.10.2, then iPhoto should still be on your machine. If not, then go to the App Store, purchased tab, and look for iPhoto, and download it (you'll need iPhoto 9.6.1 to run on Yosemite).
If you never installed iPhoto from the Mac App Store, then you should contact AppleCare, who can probably help you out. That's the only option in this case; upgrading from 10.9 or earlier straight to 10.10.3 is a bad incidence of timing.

Open "Java Preferences" either from spotlight or your utilities folder...it's probably going to say you need to install a java runtime. Then just click install!
