Restart your Mac and immediately hold down the Shift key when you hear the startup chime to boot into Safe Mode. Keep holding the Shift key until you see a progress bar towards the bottom of the screen. You can let go of the Shift key at that point.
OS X asks you to log in (you will get this screen on a Safe Mode boot even if your Mac is set to automatically log in). Let the Mac finish booting to the desktop and then restart normally. This will clear Font Book's database and the cache files of the user account you logged into in Safe Mode.
Next, close all running applications. From an administrator account, open the Terminal app and enter the following command. You can also copy/paste it from here into the Terminal window:
sudo atsutil databases -remove
Terminal will then ask for your admin password. As you type, it will not show anything, so be sure to enter it correctly.
This removes all font cache files. Both for the system and the current user font cache files. After running the command, close Terminal and immediately restart your Mac.

it sounds like you were using iCloud. Go under Settings > iCloud and make sure the switch for Notes is ON (green side showing). If it's already on, turn it off, wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on. Your notes should sync up.

Yesterday, the signatures were stacking instead of switching to the one I wanted to choose.

I had this and fixed it.
I had upgraded to Mountain Lion and my signatures in Mail were fine. But then about a week later, I got a new computer and used Migration Assistant to copy my stuff to the new machine. Upon opening Mail, I had all the correct Signature information in the Preferences>Signatures window, but nothing worked.
After lots of hunting, I found the Signature Folder. It's in:
Yourusername>Library>Mail>V2>MailData>Signatures
Looking at my previous setup (which works) I saw in that folder two types of files: .webarchive and .siganture
Looking in my new machine's Signature folder, I saw only the .webarchive folders, not the .signature folders
Since this was literally a clone of my previous setup to a new machine, here's what I did:
1. Quit Mail
2. In Problem machine, go to
Yourusername>Library>Mail>V2>MailData>Signatures
3. Move the Signatures folder someplace safe, but out of the MailData folder
4. Get the Signatures Folder from the working install (like a backup) and copy it to the MailData folder on the problematic machine
5. Start Mail on the problem machine
This worked for me. I don't know why Migration Assistant didn't copy the full signature folder, but this fixed it. It worked perfectly partly because I had just backed up with Carbon Copy Cloner and the very next day set up the new machine. I don't know where Lion or earlier versions of mail stored signatures, but the absence of the .signature filetype seems to be the problem.

I just synced with my MBP, but my iCloud account email address remains in a "inactive" status. Under settings the Apple ID and Password is wrong, and I can't find out how to fix it

I just switched over to an iPhone 4 CDMA on the verizon network the other day. I connected with my MBP/ w Lion and the sync seemed to go flawless.... All my date was pushed thru the iCloud, but then I saw that my main email address @me.com says that it is inactive when I look at it in Settings- Mail-Accounts. I can see that the iCloud account name and password is wrong, but I can not seem to find out how to correct it. Can anyone help me?

You either have an incredibly complex computer setup or I think you are confusing terminology here. If you have iTunes set to share your library with others in your iTunes preferences then other computers in the area will see it as an item when they are running their iTunes and have it set to check for shared libraries. Your husband is probably seeing this when running iTunes on his computer. You can disable this sharing on your computer and/or he can set his not to pick up shared libraries.
By the way, an iTunes account is something you log into when you want to buy something from Apple. On your computer it is simply your iTunes collection or your iTunes application. So you need to turn off sharing in your iTunes application preferences.
Your husband is seeing "his" iTunes collection when running iTunes, but it is possible he doesn't have anything in it if it is a brand new computer.

go to save a web page, complete and when i press the enter key it doesn't work. i have to move the mouse pointer to the save button and click it that way but it slower this way. why won't it let me just push the enter button on my keyboard to save?

But if I change the File <u>n</u>ame or select a different file Type I have to use the mouse to save it; the focus is away from the Save button.

When I go into my account settings and try to change my old hotmail address to my current Yahoo! address, it tells me "That email address is already used as an Apple ID." Yeah, I know that. I set up the account that I'd really, really, like to have together, but it won't let me go further. End of activity! It is trusting that my email account and password are correct b/c it will let me make purchases, etc., so it's not like it is preventing fraud or anything. This is random, fb app will not update newsfeed and comes up with networking error, all other webpages work, except I can not send a photo in Twitter or from my MAIL app on the ipad 2. I'm experiencing a similar problem with a new iPad 2 using iOS 4.3.3 connected to the Internet via Time Machine to a DSL line. The Speedtest X HD App shows the connection speed to be fine (about .6 Mb / s). The problem is only with accessing web pages. I frequently get a "server not responding" msg. There is no problem when I connect the device via USB to an iMac, only through wifi. The iMac itself (Intel with OSX 10.6.7) periodically experiences problems (both Firefox and Safari): I have learned to solve it by cleaning out cache and fixing disk permissions periodically. I've tried cleaning out cache on the iPad, deleting cookies and erasing web history, but that doesn't seem to make any difference. The problem reminds me of an old VNC problem: you had to allocate a large amount of cache or streaming would stall. This is also happening with the iPad 2. Maybe the problem is a DNS channel issue but my impression is that it is somehow related to a memory or cache issue with the iOS device or to Airport. I've occassionally experienced similar slow page loading problems with other Airport connected devices--it varies from device to device. It seems to be a client-side software or caching problem.

All apps, all paid and free apps include DRM protection which is tied to the iTunes account that was used to download the apps. You can't transfer apps downloaded with one account to another account or merge accounts.

If PS does not recognize the file, it seems to confirm the file is corrupted.
Is the file the expected size on disk? Are you opening from a server? Do you have a recent backup to pull from to try to determine when the corruption started?

If you can, go to the Apple Store and give them all of your email addresses. Hopefully, you've written down or know the passwords if you still use them. You won't need them there but the one that works is the one Apple will use to communicate with you. (They are changesable, though.)
Did you get an ipod many years ago and used one of the ID's there and then forgot about it? That happened to one of our sons. Apple helped him over the phone.
Texas Mac Man gave you the link which would usually work, but given that they only allow you three trys at it, you'll have a problem. If that's the case, call Apple support.
(I'm not a sir, though I think that was very respectful of you to be so polite. I'm a woman.)
