I just updated to 5.0.1 now texts wont send messages and my phone is slow, how do I fix this. Annoying as ****!!!

I updated which I had been avoiding and now my texts wont send, pictures on the text window will not send and my phone is horribly slow. Is there a way to go back to the other operating system?

Can't go back to other OS. Is this iMessaging or SMS causing the problem?

On the iPhone[s] go to Settings -> Messages -> Send & Receive. You should be able to select which number and email address you want the device to respond to. Do it with Facetime, also.
You DON'T need to be on different AppleIDs. My wife and I are on the same one and we fixed this problem as I described.

My wife got a couple (2) pics in email from a friend. She used "quick view" and clicked "save to iPhoto" now her iPhoto icon is gone and was replaced with a Note pad with pens? It wont open iPhoto? I went to Finder to iPhoto and it actually has one of the pictures as icon? If you click on it nothing happens. i went to the plug in and pics are still there. How can I fix this? I went to app store to try to find my origional iPhoto but dont know where to look there? We are novices on this. It is a desktop Mac running OS X 10.5.8 Can anyone help? Thanks

Repair permissions and restart your computer. Read the Help menu for instructions if you do not know how.

If you are saying you can't turn off find my phone because it is still using an old ID, you need to change your ID back to the old address at My Apple ID turn off find my phone then change your ID back at my Apple ID.

YOU ARE IN RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary.

The Snow Leopard 10.6 DVD should still be available from Apple for $20. You will have to call Apple Customer Care 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775 to purchase it. It may still be in the Legacy Products list. The App Store which is required to download 10.7 or 10.8 is part of the 10.6.6 update.
If they no longer have any in stock you will have to buy it from eBay or Apple resellers that still have stock. But you will have to pay a premium since the DVDs are no longer being made. Snow Leopard DVDs are already up to $100 on Amazon.

I had the same problem. I had to take all my pictures out and restore my phone. Now my GPS will not work with my foursquare app. I try to talk to someone and god forbid if I put the phone between my shoulder and my cheek, I am forced to make a 3 way call or put someone on hold. I've got a similar problem. iTunes v10.2 worked fine, but when I tried to update it to 10.5 I got a 'Bonjour' error. I eventually solved that but I still couldn't upgrade to 10.5, so I deleted every single Apple, Quicktime, iTunes, etc file on my PC using Revo Unistaller (because the normal Windows Add/Delete programs wouldn't work) but now, when I install the latest iTunes version from scratch (on XP SP3), it says: "the installer encountered errors before it could be configured.... your system has not been modified"
Any ideas?

hello, this sounds like the files in your [[Profiles|profile folder]] that store the information about your extensions might have become corrupted. please go to ''firefox > help > troubleshooting information > profile - show folder...'' then windows explorer should open up your profile folder. in there look for the files named extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite, extensions.sqlite-journal (and in some cases also extensions.txt, extensions.rdf). delete or rename those files and quit firefox, they will be regenerated the next time you launch firefox.
