I just updated to FF6 and when using FB screen turns to black and hangs up when playing some games.

I use Facebook every day to communicate with friends and play games. After I installed FF6 I started having problems on Farmville. I disabled all the add-ons that were not supported or able to be updated and did the same thing for the plug-ins. When playing the game, my cursor stops working and then if I click on the side bar to move the screen up or down, my screen will sometimes go black with outlines of the FF log on page and then the page will show part of the game with tiled screens of the game. When I click on a blank part of the screen, the screen then lightens and my cursor goes to a circle. After awhile I get an error message in a box that pertains to chrome with an error number. When I check on the message in Windows, it does not show that error message fix. I have uninstalled Chrome also and that didn't solve the problem.. I have uninstalled FF6 and reinstalled it, but that doesn't help either. I have another laptop computer that is using Window 7 Professional and am going to see if the problem is with Farmville or FireFox. The computer I am having problems with us an HP desktop model dv5-1235dx and I am using Windows Vista SP2 operating system which came with the computer. I have my FF set to send out crash notices, but it does not do that when all this happens. Everything I know of that can be updated on my computer has been updated. I also use AVG as my anti-virus program and it is updated daily. I have also gone into my cookies and have blocked those that are causing problems that my anti-virus program. My computer is still under warranty through Best Buy until March of 2012, so I am wondering if I should contact them about the problem or maybe get some help here.

In Firefox 4 and later [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode Safe mode] disables extensions and disables hardware acceleration.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.
