I just updated to newest version of Firebox and now I cannot open attachement on gmail emails.
Attachments on gmail emails won't open.
Try following the steps in the below articles.

I downloaded the most recent version of iTunes, and now the iTunes store won't open. It just sits there and says 'accessing iTunes store for hours, but does nothing.
Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START>PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START>PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES>Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.

Updated to newest version of itunes and now it tries to update library and it stops responding and won't let me cancel the little update bar that appears. I just want to know how to get it to the point where I can play music again.

Had a recent crash on my macbook, was previously using OS 10.6 I think. Restored from recent Time Machine backup and updated to OS 10.8.2 and now I cannot open Logic Pro 9. I get a 'No entry' Icon and a not supported on this type of Mac message. I cannot update either as anything up to 9.1.1 tells me I don't need it yet 9.1.2 tells me I need an eligable Logic Pro Version was not found in applications.
All of my files are stored in a separate hard drive with only the actual app having been on my Macbook. Should I just reinstall?Hi
To run Mouitain Lion you need to update Logic.
For the updaters to work the Logic application must be:
a) Within the Applications folder, and not in any sub-folder
b) Named "Logic Pro" with no extra numbers or spaces

I have just upgraded to OSX 10.6.8 and now I cannot open or save PDF files from the internet using either Safari or Firefox. I get a dialogue box saying the QuickTime plugin has failed. Can anyone help?

When the update fails what if any error report do you get, specifically? Please do this before trying again:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X. -
I ran the latest Numbers update and now I cannot open several of the Numbers files I created and saved previously. When I try, a box appears that says I need to update to a newer version of Numbers. I ALREADY updated to the newest version!!!! Any suggestions?

When you upgraded Numbers to the most recent version, the Mac App Store kept the old version in case you need it in the future. Your problem is that you are opening the old version by mistake instead of the new one.
To fix this, open a Finder window, select Applications in the sidebar and drag the new Numbers version (the one with the new icon) to the Dock. By doing this, you can access to the new Numbers version easily, so you will not open the old version by mistake anymore. Also, I recommend you to open the documents after opening Numbers. The same applies for all other iWork applications.

Please help! I have tried everything suggested by Apple to remedy this problem to no avail. I even have removed iTunes completely and downloaded/installed the newest version again. I did not want to update, but the store would not let me purchase a new release with my older version for some reason? I always hate modifications/updates. They never seem to work properly. i had the same thing happen to me. as usualy new version of something stops something else from working. its final cut pro updates all over agian. anyway... the above posts helped me get a solution so i will share it;
since i didnt have any virus protection it appears to be the built in windows firewall doing the damage. on my machine i had to navigate to the windows security icon which is burried : start -> programs -> accessories -> system tools -> security center. then scroll down to "windows firewall" to the "exceptions tag". "iTunes" was already selected as an allowed program so i deleted it and then added it again (manually add program, then browse to wherever you saved iTunes to. likely in program files). the newer version came up as "iTunes.exe" not just "iTunes" as before.

My dad just got a new laptop that should be beyond capable of running iTunes. He installed it, tried to run it and it wouldn't open. I uninstalled it, re-downloaded it and tried to run it and it's a no go for me as well. Tried to run a repair and nothing. Tried to open it in safe mode and nothing. Does anyone have any ideas what might be gumming it up? His computer has a 1.5 gig Quad core, 4 Gig of Ram, is running on 64bit Windows 7 that is fully updated as of this morning and iTunes is doing jack squat Please help!FYI the sloution which are mentioned above are copied from below link and I just pasted the Information which were required. Don't know where to get help. I just updated the software and I am having issues with not being able to update Aps or install new ones. The circles just spin and Aps just say "waiting." I tried running a diagnostic with the apple store and it came back with "power issues" (?) as a result. It wouldn't let me select an option to see what steps I could take to fix it, it just backed out of the page. I just don't know what to do.....

Thank you for your reply, I did go to my general settings, but for some odd reason I don't have a restrictions setting, or a reset setting. I thought I could reset all the setting to see if it could be that, but as I said there aren't any.
My husband also has the iPad 2, and also did the software update and hasn't had any problems at all. I took both iPad's and compared the settings thinking maybe there could be a setting that could have been changed when the update was done. -
just installed latest itunes to my laptop, and icon is on my homepage, but when i try to load it up, i get this message ,The File "itunes Library.itl" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of itunes! So I did some automatic updates on my iTunes on my Mac today. When I synched my phone the new updates were there but my content in no longer on my phone, just my desktop. My content contains a lot of bought materials, but my own CD library as well. How do I get my iTunes content back on my phone???
Go into the control panel, add/remove programs. Uninstall iTUnes, Apple mobile device service, apple application support. Then redownload and reinstall iTunes.
There seems to be a glitch with the update where it doesn't seem to get everything updated so you need to get rid of it all and start fresh. This is just the programs, it won't affect your data. (as in when I did it it didn't touch my iTunes library) -
I just loaded the latest version of itunes and now I cannot sync my notes from Outlook 2010 to my iphone. Notes no longer appears under the advanced section of the info tab. Since I have not had luck syncing in the cloud I always check the boxes and tell the sync to sync from my computer to my phone. Does anyone know how to get this to work.
When you connect your ipod up to the computer. It should show the device, usually with the name of the device, in my case 'jordan's ipod'. This should be on the row which shows 'songs', 'albums' e.t.c on the far right. There when you click on it it should go to a different screen showing a picture of your ipod along with two buttons - Update and Restore. Click update and it should take a 2 mins while your ipod is updated to the latest version of Ios.
After updating te ipod see if there is a change in results.
PS: make sure the device is active while syncing so keep tapping the screen.

Just downloaded the newest version of Itunes. Now my Iphone 4s won't sync with Calendar in XP Outlook. Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you fix it? I've already made sure the proper check boxes are on in Itunes and tried the reset sync history. Also re-downloaded Itunes again. Same problem.
Well, OSX 10.9.2 is free, which should solve the iTunes problem, but 10.9.2 isn't bug free, & you'll lose the ability to run any PPC Apps if that important, as well as needing to update many Apps & Printer Drivers.
