I just updated to OSX and keep getting notifications to download new versions of Pages, Keynote and Numbers, would these be free?

Normally, that would be excellent advice. But in this case it is not thought to be necessary.
The new copies will be installed "loose" in the Applications folder. The originals are kept in the iWork folder in the Applications folder. If you do not like the new versions, they can be discarded and the original versions will be used again.
The new versions have many new iCloud features, but some users have complained that key features they require are missing. It is thought that Apple will add them over time.

I still don't know how to get CC to find that I have Photoshop CC installed, but running Creative Cloud, going to Preferences and signing out, then signing in again got Lightroom CC to work.
Since Photoshop CC is still working despite apparently not being installed things are now OK, at least for the moment. But I'm not feeling at all happy with Adobe.

If you are running Mavericks, and the Mac App store says you are up to date, then you have Numbers 3.2 as well as Numbers 2.3. You are getting the "Need a newer version message because your Mac is trying to open the document using Numbers 2.3.
Launch Numbers 3, then open the document from within that app, or right click/control-click the document and choose Open with Numbers 3.x.

Downloaded new version itunes 10.5. and i cant get itunes store or update my iphone,Tried Run

I have same problem as most people but answers i see don't resolve my problem !
I updated to itunes 10.5, now can't get into store or can't update my iphone, i just get blank page now and then it will say you my not be connectd to net when i am.
Ran diagnostics check and results came back all verified except last one 'Secure link to itunes store failed'.
Checked my firewall itunes isn't blocked even stopped my antivirus and firewall applications from running but still wil not connect.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated as spent many hours searching itunes troubleshooting with no luck !!!

10.4.11 is "up2date" for THAT OS. It is only old and can not run todays itunes, that is all.
Like already answered here you need a complete new system to run itunes current. Leopard 10.5.8 will work, but do not count on its itunes next support. Leo is halfway dead.
So to to be on the safe side for the future go with nothing low as Snowleopard 10.6.8 and if the machine can take it, you might want to upgrade that immediately after to Lion 10.7.1 which is the most "up2date" version. lion can only be installed from within Snow, even if you buy it as usb thumdrive instead of purchasing from appstore (which is not available before OS 10.6.6 ).
Apple usually only supports the current OSX and its former version for their apps like itunes and safari updates = 10.6 now and for some time , 10.7 now and until 10.8 cometh out one day .. the days of 10.5 however are almost gone. and 10.4 is long dead.
10.5.x was available for PowerPC ( old "G4/G5", all unsupported hardware as of now ) and Intel ( any ) ; 10.6.x is INTEL only ( any Intel ) , and 10.7.x is INTEL 64bit only ( core2duo minimum )

It keeps asking me to download new version but takes me back to apple site like its from the beginning - will it erase my current itunes and contents?

On opening my Itunes it asks if I want to download latest version - usually I say yes and away it goes, but lately it redirects me to the Apple site like I am downloading it for the first time and i am scared if I go through with it that it will create a new Itunes and my old one will be lost and all my songs - is this happening to anybody else - will it override your old itunes?? I don't understand why its changed?

All should be fine... but... just in case... have you considered backing up your iTunes Library Before doing any Update.../ Upgrade...
Always a Good Idea to have a backup, especially of Music and Photos...

Yes, please let us all in on the secret. I just began having the EXACT same issues with my Platinum EX card. I did a low level format (write to zeros) as I have done 50x before...only this time the CD will not load. It says something about "flash has encountered a problem and must close now." I have NEVER had that problem before. So I did another fresh install....this time installed macromedia flash beforehand....no closing but had constant errors during the install but after about 4-5 tries, it installed.
My DVD rom stopped working (I/O errors on every disc it read)....my DVD-R wouldn't recognize discs. The entire system was a mess. Once I un-installed everything Audigy, the system worked fine. Just no sound card recognized (yes...onboard card is off in BIOS) - no playcenter...no controls...nothing.
Ok, so I found a full system backup (Acronis) I had and force fed the PC the original install. Everything works except I get routine blue screens for "memory dump" problems. I tried to install updated drivers and get errors during install so thats a no-go.
If someone at Audigy has no answers....and no way to test or diagnose these stupid boards, it is coming out and something else will replace it for good.
This is a .6 dual core on an Intel D975BX2 MB...2GB RAM, XP Pro SP2.
