I just upgraded my Iphone 4 to the Iphone 4S. My husband has the iphone 4. I can call him but my texts will not go thru. He is able to call and text me. Any ideas what I am doing wrong or what setting I need to change? Thank you.

There is nothing you can do, since he hasn't backed up his phone since 2011. Sorry.

To do this your device should be firstly connected to computer and iTunes is open. Put your device into dfu mode: 1.turn off your device 2.press and hold power and home button simultaneously for 10 seconds and release power and keep holding home until iTunes says a device in recovery mode. now should be able to restore.

I rechecked each question you posed; I even turned off and turned back on the Apple TV and iTunes Home Sharing, deleted the app and redownloaded it several times. I am still getting the message on my phone to turn on Home Sharing in iTunes on my computer or on Apple TV. I can't think of any changes I made since the REMOTE app worked except I downloaded the iOS 7.1. About a week before uploading the new iOS, I moved my router. Could this have been a cause of my problem? Everything else seems to work. Do you have any other suggestions? Or do you think the REMOTE app isn't working correctly with the new iOS 71.? I take it you didn't transfer purchases BEFORE you attempted to update your phone? If that's the case and you live in the US you can look at your purchase history and re-download the purchased music using iTunes. If you're outside the US, you're out of luck.

Firefox 10.0.1 will not open; I just upgraded from Firefox 9.0 to 10.0.1, the download completed, I clicked the Restart button; but absolutely nothing happens, no error message, nothing; I cannot start Firefox at all.

I have Windows XP SP3. Internet Explorer does work, which is how I'm able to tell you this. I have few plugins, and nothing unusual; in fact, before the popup window invited me to upgrade to Firefox 10.0.1, it first did a check for incompatible plugins and apparently found none.
Maybe I should do a System Restore and not try Firefox 10 again until the bugs are fixed.

You may need to delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing the latest Firefox.<br />
In case you still have problems after installing then check your security software.
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Just upgraded to iPhone 5c but in settings my phone number shows "unknown".

Just upgraded from iPhone 4 to iPhone 5c. Tried to make a phone call and got message that I would be connected with an operator and could place my call using a credit card. Tried call ing my cell from home phone and went to automated voice mail. Checked Settings and under Phone / My Number it shows "unknown". Is this an iPhone problem or do I need to contact my carrier, Verizon?

There is a setting that you can set to prevent the iPhone from backing up to iCloud.
Settings > iCloud > Backup > iCloud Backup > Turn off
Apple provides 5 GB of free space for backups. When the data backed up to iTunes is greater than that you will get the message to buy additional storage. The storage in question is iCloud storage and has nothing to do with storage on your iPhone.
I use my 5 GB free storage for Contacts, Calendars, Reminders etc. and the total of these is usually well below 1 GB.
It is still important though, to periodically backup your iPhone in case of a problem that results in data loss. I do this with iTunes on my computer.

Restore the device using the most recent backup.
If you have not backed up the device recently, then there is nothing to restore.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I have tried as you suggested, and when opening the "purchased" apps some have the icloud logo next to them, but I only have "OPEN" against "Find My iPhone". When opening it up, it goes through the same routine; needs to be updated before proceeding, and wouldn't update because I don't have IOS8.
Anything else I could try, or am I doomed!

I've just upgraded from a 3GS to an iPhone 4. I succesfully transfered everything. A few apps needed updates, no problem I thought.
How wrong was I??! Its says I need to authorise my account as its been accesed from a different device, fair enough, I entered my details & it says my payment method has been declined. So I tried another account, different card etc same problem! I have money in both accounts, & Im not trying to purchase anything!!
This is doing my head in, apps need updates & I was fancying a few new ones but I cant get any. Can anyone help?
