Need to download app store but can't find
App Store is in your Applications folder and there should also be an icon in the Dock.

Just bought Photoshop Elements 13...I'm trying to make a slideshow but can't figure out how to alter duration time that the slide is on the screen. They presently move from one to another way too quickly...also need a different pan and zoom option. Where are all the options I had in PS10? Also...Can I burn this to a DVD?
The changes have brought improvements but also drawbacks compared with the old slideshow editor.
The templates are now fairly fixed but I find the “Classic Dark” gives reasonable results with some panning and you can click the audio button and browse you PC for any track. Unfortunately there are only three speed choices linked to the music track. The improvement for most people is that you can now export to your hard drive at 720p or 1080p and upload to sites like YouTube and Vimeo. -
Hi. I just downloaded "angry birds" from the iTunes store. It says it was successfully downloaded and that I can use it on the two mac products I have. I can see an icon for it in the finder on the mac, but I can't figure out how to play the game. Anyone?

I keep multiple photos in a desktop folder to be quickly accessed by using Preview. But when I try to open ONE photo, it opens multiple photos. Can't figure out how to display just the single one that I select. OS 10.7.2
This is the resume feature of Lion. The last state of the application is saved when quitting (i.e last pictures viewed in Preview, last videos viewed in Quicktime etc).
You can switch it off for Preview by copy and pasting the following in to the terminal application
defaults write com.apple.Preview NSQuitAlwaysKeepsWindows -bool false -
I don't know what I did when I was checking my emails, but somehow I ended up with a large window that displays a list of the emails but not the content of the selected one like before, unless I open each one individually... I tried shutting down, hoping that the email app would restore through some default setting, but it came back the same way... It's probably something simple, but I watched all the tutorials I could find, and there isn't any mention of how to configure the email window.
I played around with the toolbar, trying to figure out how to restore the original window, but nothing worked. I can sort things in many ways that I couldn't care less about! I just want the old setting back that shows the window where the upper half is the latest emails and the bottom half is the opened email that is high- lighted. Help!Thank you, so much, Stedman! I feel like an idiot, but I never ran into this before! I'm new out here (relatively) and sometimes the simplest things seem to ambush me!! lol Thanks for taking the time to help me out!

The internet pages don't display properly I'm using osx10.3.3, yahoo for example asks me to update, but I cant find out how, as the apple store just keeps sending back to the same page with no down load option...do i need to up date or is it just my mac
What Mac model do you have? You might be able to upgrade the OS to Tiger 10.4 or Leopard 10.5.
Even browsers for Tiger 10.4 will get the update message.
You could try a newer browser than Safari, which is obsolete, by downloading Firefox v2.0.0.20 at http://www.oldapps.com/mac/firefox.php

I just downloaded the latest itunes and i cant figure out how to update my iphone apps on my computer now. I go to the toolbar on the top and press search for updates and it tells me that the latest version of itunes is already downloaded or that there are no updates available at this time. Previously, i would be able to go to the apps page on itunes and then press search for updates and then download all. Then I would sync with my phone and both phone and computer would be updated. Now I can only update on the phone and I know Im going to encounter where it tells me the info for downloading is too large to do it on your phone, hence my first question.....where do I go to update my apps on my computer????
While you're in itunes, with the leftside window open, click on Apps. Then, look across the top middle of your itunes screen. You will see several choices: All, Iphone/iPad Touch, Ipad, Ipod Games, List, and Updates.
Clicking on each of these gives you a different view.
When you select ALL you will see all of your apps. When you select Updates you sill see only the apps that need to be updated. When you are in Updates you will see the Update button in the lower right corner.

We are trying to move our music library stored on the Mac to a second ipad. We have already set up the second ipad and are only interested in getting select music onto the second ipad. When we plug the ipad into the imac and connect to iturnes it wants to set up or restore the second ipad. We're afraid if we do this it will remove all current information on the second ipad. I need some help! I was able to download my HP printer software on to my Macbook Pro, but cannot find the Scan feature on the computer to be able to scan a document. If someone could LMK what I need to do, or where I need to look to find this I would appreciate it!
That would be a function of the driver that came with the printer. Make sure you have the latest driver appropriate to your system, either from HP or:

Tabbed browsing is the way. Go to Safari's View menu:

I'm on my company website and all of the content appears much smaller than usual. I can't find Tools to adjust the appearance. I check on Internet Explorer and the same website looks normal.

All that's showing is my Inbox and a Deleted box under it. I don't have a Sent, Drafts or Archive icons showing and when I send emails they go but they don't save to either Sent or Drafts.

KimNote; if you did not get a copy of the emails off the old server into your Local Folders and you move away from the old server to a new server, you will not have any access to those emails on the old server.

I am running Snow Leopard, and I bought a new camera (Canon Vixia HF R300). I am so far unable to download my movies into iMovie, and from what I have been able to ascertain, I need to upgrage to iMovie '11 to support the camera.
I have read that iMovie '11 was available at the Mac App Store, but now I see that the App Store has the new version, iMovie 10.0, which my Snow Leopard mac cannot support. Can I still get iMovie '11 from the App Store?Apple has not made older versions of apps available in the MAS, only the most recent version. Apple constantly reminds folks that they alone are responcible for backing up their content purchases for the very reason that content may not always be available from the MAS in the future.
To answer your question, no, a license for a particular version of an Apple app does not entitle you to older versions of the app. -
We Purchased Lion OS in April and uploaded to our iMac. We are now ready to upgrade our MacPro, but can't seem to find out how to upgrade using the previous purchase (said we could use the Lion OS purchase on up to 3 devices). We have the receipt of purchase with the Order # and Purchase #, but I just can't figure out how to do the upgrade. Where do I go? What reference # do I enter?
Go back to the App Store with the same Apple ID you used to purchase Lion. It should show up in your Purchases list ready to download. If it doesn't, log out, log back in, and hold down Option key while clicking on Purchases.
A tip: Once the download is finished, dismiss the Installer. Go to your Applications folder and find it - copy it to another folder or hard drive to keep for emergency purposes. Then click on that installer and install (it is automatically removed/deleted after the installation is complete). That way you can avoid having to do another lengthy download.
And, yes, just to confirm: you can install Lion on as many Macs you own and control. However, the license is not transferable; if you ever sell the machine, you need to erase Lion and reinstall the original OS.
You don't go to iTunes - go to the Mac App Store (in your Applications folder). You do need 10.6.6 (or 10.6.8) to have the Mac app store.

I am trying to rent a movie. After I put my Apple ID, it's telling me that I have more than 5 computers authorized in my Apple ID. Also, it's advising me to de-authorize some of these computers. How do I do that?
