I just upgraded to itunes 7.3 runs fine for 5 seconds then locks up
Hello, I am terribly sorry for botheriing you, but I have a problem. I just upgraded to itunes 7.3 and now it runs for 1 second and then locks up completely. Any idea what could be causing this?

This happened to me a couple of months ago. The way I solved it was by recreating my iTunes library (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93313).

Running fine for months, then last night no connec...
My connection has been running fine for around 6 months now, nothing changed.
At around 12am last night my connection suddenly dropped.
The lights on the modem where on, but the light on the hub went orange.
I turned off the hub and waited for it to connect, still nothing, orange then red light eventually.
I turned both the modem and hub off, waited for them to come on again, but still orange/red light on the hub and greens every where else.
I turned them off again and back on, this time the hub connected to the modem and I had all green lights, success I thought, wrong.
Still no Internet connection. I ended up turning the equipment off overnight.
Someone told me there where some planned engineering works on the network which are the cause of the outage.

Just upgraded to iTunes 10.6 and now it says it does not support Quicktime. Not much more to add. It's a MacPro running Lion.

For those who run across this therad and haven't taken the effort to make a backup here is another approach that should work.
Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

I just upgraded to iTunes version 10.6.0.40 and now I am having problems connecting to my Airport Express and I get an error message 15000. Does anyone know what that means? I am using an ethernet cable so it is not a wireless problem. Trying to find out if this is realated to the iTunes upgrade. Any ideas out there?

Just upgraded to iTunes 9.1 and Airtunes no longer works
So I just upgraded to iTunes 9.1. Have external speakers hooked up through my Airport Express to play my music wirelessly over AirTunes. The Airport Express option still shows up in the dropdown in iTunes, but when I select it and try to play music, there's no sound coming from my external speakers. Internal computer speakers still work. I've already tried restarting iTunes, my iMac and AirPort. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Since a week, I've been using an iMac, with external speakers connected to my two Airport Expresses. Airtunes used to work fine on my recently deceased Windows PC+iTunes 8, until I bought my iMac which came with iTunes 9. Tried downgrading to iTunes 8, but doesn't work, because then iTunes won't accept my iPod Touch anymore (only with iTunes 9).
Another weird thing is that iTunes 9 seems to mess up my playlists when syncing with my iPod Touch. Selected playlists won't appear in my iPod Touch, while other playlists do appear in my iPod Touch, but empty. It's now solved by adding some extra (irrelevant in my opinion) rules to the playlists, but it's madness that one has to go through all these efforts just to correctly sync your playlists. What happened to user-friendliness?
Anyway, if anyone has a solution to the iTunes9/Airtunes problem, please let me know! -
I just upgraded to a new computer running Windows 7 from an old one running XP. I would like to migrate my old bookmarks to the new computer but I do not know where to find them or where to migrate them to.
I do have the old computer's disk drive.

I just upgraded to a new imac running OS X 10.8.2 and am having trouble scanning from my Brother MHC 7820N. Printer works fine but the scanner won't connect to the imac. I reinstalled the scanner driver from Brother.com but no luck. When I go to Image Capture, it says no scanner connected. Any suggestions?
You might try a third party scanner software. Printer manufacturers are terrible about keeping their products updated. I'd recommend VueScan, you can get a trial version here and if it works and you like it you can purchase it.

I just upgraded to iTunes 11 and now I get a "itunes cannot connect with this ........ Could not allocate a resource. Happens with both ipad and iPhone. Any thoughts on how to resolve this issue?
Same for me with Iphone 5 and IOS 7 on mac pro. Install ITunes 11.1 and after reboot nothing work. Work only with Mac Pro in safe mode.

I am running WIndows7. I boot up load itunes and it runs fine.. all aspects.
When I close it down and try to get back in later it just sits there. It won't work until I reboot the computer.
I have updated and reloaded several times. NothingLet's see whether this file APSDaemon.exe is the problem here.
Close your iTunes.
Press Ctrl-Alt-Del key and choose Task Manager. In the "Processes" Tab, select the file APSDaemon.exe and click End Prosses button, then close the task manager window.
Now open itunes and see if it is working?
If that works, make sure you do this below to prevent same problem after restarting windows:
Go to. START button, type in
MSCONFIG
Hit ENTER
Click STARTUP Tab, Uncheck "Apple Push", click OK.
Restart Windows. -
Just upgraded to iTunes 11.1.4.62 now my device (iPhone5) won't sync but shows up under Windows Explorer. When I plug the phone in it asks if I want to trust the computer. I say yes but it hasn't asked me that since the very first time I received the phone.
This resolved my issue.

Reinstalling the usb driver in win7 by going to device mgr/ portable devices and then directing the computer to search the apple folder ...
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers. did the trick. -

I have the same issue on Leopard 10.5.8, iTunes 10.4. You can right click to add multiple songs to a playlist via a drop-down list, but cannot drag songs to re-arrange their order...

Sounds like iTunes Match hasn't sync'd the songs properly. Am I correct that on iOS devices the songs appear greyed out? I've had this problem as well recently. You could try going back to the computer you added the songs on, selecting them from your iTunes library and deleting them but telling iTunes to keep the files.
I did have some luck following the steps at https://discussions.apple.com/message/18597236#18597236 however that was short lived and stopped being effective shortly after. You may have more success.
1. List all your songs in your library and right-click the column headers to show iCloud Status
2. Sort by this column and look for all of the tracks at Waiting Status
3. Select all of the tracks at Waiting Status, right click and delete them, click Delete Items on the first prompt as shown below (This won't delete your music from your computer):
4. IMPORTANT: At the second prompt that appears after you click Delete Items select Keep Files
5. Select Add to Library from the File menu and navigate to your iTunes folder in the Music under your Home folder.
Leave iTunes to rebuild your library (it might take a while if you have a lot of tracks that were at waiting status). Once it is complete, update iTunes Match once it's finished and it should upload the tracks
Following that process should rebuild the song information for those tracks in your iTunes library and may help iTunes Match sync up properly. If it doesn't let me know as there are some people including myself that haven't had much luck lately getting past this issue. -

I had the same problem. You need to re-authorize your computer. See the 'Advanced' menu. I freaked out a bit when I purchased Tetris and it wouldn't go on my iPod as well.

I just upgraded to iTunes 12 and had all sorts of problems. After several restores I seem to be able to sync my iPad with iTunes BUT I can't delete anything off my iPad from iTunes. Any ideas on what to do?
