I Just upgraded to the lastest iTunes version, why does my iTunes freeze every time I connect my iPod but yet it still plays music?
I've never had this problem before but since I've updated my iTunes, it freezes as soon as my iPod gets connected. Ever more strange, the music plays in the background but yet iTunes is frozen. Any help?
It appears that my iTunes is recignizing my iPod as an iPhone for some reason...could that be the problem?

Do you have crash reports with a "bp-" prefix that were submitted and that show a crashing thread?
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

I am not hooking up to a new computer - I just plugged into the same computer and it asked me this Trust My Computer question. I hit Trust - yet it still doesn't seem to find the device on my computer. It doesn't show up in my iTunes list of devices.

If your iTunes library is on an external hard drive, but iTunes is not recognizing the library, first make sure the right library is selected.
You can use these steps to make sure iTunes is opening the library on your external drive:
If iTunes is running, quit iTunes.
If you're using Windows, hold down the Shift key and from the Start menu, choose All Programs > iTunes > iTunes.
If you're using a Mac, open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option key.
You should see one of these screens:
Pick Choose Library and locate the library on your external hard drive.

If the right library is selected, but you do not see your songs, try re-creating the library using the instructions found here:

since I have iTunes match, why does my iTunes library not appear in iPhoto music options for slideshow?; only songs purchased or placed on iTunes over a year ago appear in the iPhoto library under the iTunes or purchased option.

Yes, I am signed in to iTunes match on the macbook pro, iPhone , & iPad (all updated & correct music libraries) where I bought all the tunes but still no updated tunes on the iPhoto music library after 3 days of being on iTunes match.

Itunes crashes every time I connect my Ipod..
I had my Ipod connected while running a software update 1-2 weeks ago. Shortly after the update completed, my computer gave me "A computer must be restarted" mesage, and promptly shut down all the programs I was using and rebooted. Currently, not only does Safari refuse to operate, my Itunes crashes every time I connect my Ipod, preventing me from altering information or transferring songs. I've done everything but 'restore'-- I'm afraid that if I reset my Ipod, I'll lose the songs I already have.

Is anyone having a problem connecting 400 firewire thru an adapter for the 800 firewire port on a Macbook Pro 2011? It does a kernel panic every time I connect it. Is there a "proper way" to connect it? Just in case it makes a difference I am trying to hook up an Avid Mbox Pro for Pro tools.
What is the part number and model of Firewire adapter?
I have used them in the past without any problems whatsoever.

What happens when the Mac goes to sleep (not just into idle mode or display sleep)?
On all Macs:
The microprocessor goes into a low-power mode
Video output is turned off, and a connected display may turn off or enter its own idle state
Apple-supplied hard disks spin down; third-party hard disks may spin down
On portable Macs:
The Ethernet port turns off, if applicable (see note below)
Expansion card slots turn off
The built-in modem, if present, turns off (see note below)
An AirPort card, if present, turns off (see note below)
The USB ports only responds to the power key on an external keyboard (see below)
The optical media drive, if present, spins down
Audio input and output turns off
Keyboard illumination, if a feature of your portable computer, turns off
But see the note about selecting, "Wake For Network Access" in Energy Saver preferences.
Note: Portable computers have no network connectivity when in sleep mode, but can wake if the Energy Saver option "Wake for network access" is enabled. If you wish to use file sharing or don't want to interrupt your Internet connection, you should not manually put the computer to sleep, and you should drag the "Computer sleep" slider to Never. -

Why is it every time I connect my iPod Classic, iTunes 11.1 freezes?
This only started happening recently. Every single time i connect my iPod, iTunes just stops responding.
I have a 160 GB newer model and Windows 7
Also I've formatted and restored it more than enough timesStared happening when I updated to iTunes, version 11. Both on Mac OS-X 10.6 and Windows 7 platfiorms. Bounced back to an earlier version and this corrected the problem. Restored and reloaded without any difficulty. Make sure to disable AUTOMATIC UPDATES in preferences in the general pane. Keep a spare version of the application/program so that in case you need it if anything happens or somebody updates your machine if you take it in for service.
Problems associated so far from my perspective using Mac and Windows are: iPod disappears from the desktop, iPod freezes; host computer freezes; iTunes library does not load correctly or at all; Formatting on Windows based computers shows formatted when in fact it did not; iPod may not respond correctly after ejecting.
Hope this helps. Running iTunes version 9.0.2 (originally furnished with my 2009 MacBook). This is from the restore disc and works like a charm. I have the 5th generation 30 Gb iPod.

I have reinstalled iTunes over 20 times at this point. I've also tried standalone installers for the mobile support. NONE of it is working. This computer is brand new and should have no issues with functionality towards iTunes. This makes absolutely no sense. Please help. I do have the 64 bit version for Windows currently installed.

I have had nothing but trouble with syncing my iPhone 5 with iTunes. I have installed the latest version of each and worked with support but no solution. Currently when I connect the iPhone the Terms and conditions appear every time, I agree and sometimes there is a sync and sometimes not. It also tells me I have 5 conflicts but looking at Outlook and the phone there is no conflict. If you tell the system to correct the conflicts it gives a message it cannot access the conflict server. I am running Windows 7.
Any help would be appreciatedMake sure you have your data backed up, then reset sync services per the instructions below.

I just upgraded LR 5 to LR6 and LR6 is crashing open opening every time
It says adobe lightroom has stopped working every time i try to open up LR 6. My LR 5 is still working correctly. What do I do and am I the only one that this is happening to?
This is the stand alone version of lightroom however.
