I just want my phone back.

Question

I purchased my Blackberry Z10 direct from Blackberry from an employee through their friends and family program. After owning the phone for only a little over 10 weeks it needed to be repaired/replaced. That was 4 weeks ago. Blackberry has had my phone for a week now (it took 3 weeks to get the return shipping label) and i have no idea what the status of my phone is. There is no way to contact Blackberry directly, I cannot go to my service provider as I did not purchase or service the phone with them and my contact at Blackberry is not available (he is off work for a few weeks with a medical condition). I am extremely frustrated and disappointed in this whole process. I can provide more specific details when needed but how do I get an update as to the status? I hope someone can help me with this as this experience is making it very hard for me to think about purchasing another Blackberry or even recommending it to others.

mcpage, please understand -- we do not work for BlackBerry either, and we can not look up your repair detailes. This is a user-to-user community support forum. We are not RIM employees, but volunteers who enjoy assisting other users. RIM personnel rarely comment on queries posted here. You would have noticed this in the message upon registration.
And, since I've asked and finally you're answering "the phone and all the correspondence back and forth have been in my name and I am pretty sure Blackberry knows I don't work for them".
What correspondence? In that correspondence, you have no contact persona, number or email? Nothing?

Remember, you bought a device off a friend, through a private channel. It sounds like BlackBerry is helping you in a way not afforded the normal consumer. Your friend did you a favor getting you a device, probably at a discount?
