Ok, my family in St Louis have a nice ma. Me? I prefer my Windows. I want to download iChat so i can talk to them, without downloading everything else, just because i kno i wont use everything else

There is no iChat for Windows. Use AIM instead, or Skype if desired.

As long as you don't need all the bells and whistles of the iTunes Store such as Ping, and don't need to sync an iOS device running iOS 4.x, then iTunes 9.2.1 should work for you. It should be available via Software Update, but if not, you can still get it here:

but it would be best to upgrade your Mac to Mac OS X 10.5 or 10.6, since it's probable that eventually the iTunes Store will no longer support iTunes 9.x.

I cannot download any apps , including free apps. I did purchase a game about a month ago using a prepaid card. That card I no longer use. The App Store declined the card. I just want to download free apps without te App Store wanting my credit card information . Help!!
i don't think you can use prepaid cards that aren't itunes gift cards for purchases in itunes anymore. if you don't see the option 'none' under payment options, then you need to add a card to the apple id. once you add it, you should then see the 'none' option and can choose not to use that as your payment method under settings > itunes and app stores > tap on your apple id and choose 'view apple id' > payment options

I just want to download the apple tv software on to my pc...however I cant seem to find this anywhere and my laptop doesn't reconsie the apple tv device!!
You can't download it to your PC. The only way is to connect Apple TV to your computer and restore via iTunes (which will load the current firmware).
Make sure you are following the steps exactly (unplug all cables, then connect micro usb cable)
Make sure you are connecting directly to computer, not a keyboard port or USB hub
Try a different cable
Also may want to check any firewall and security software installed on the system. -

If you've posted from that page because you've forgotten the answers to your security questions, then if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.

Good Morning! As a feedback, I still prefer the physical purchase instead of downloads. It suppose to be easier and faster and always end up being slower, annoying and frustrating. Hey Evawantsin, turning off Wi-Fi as suggested by Illaass will do the trick, but how are you connecting to your stereo? If it uses Wi-Fi, then you need to turn the Wi-Fi on for music sessions. If through Bluetooth your fine, or do you use a physical connection like a dock, USB to lighting cable or do you just plug in through the headphone port with a patch cable? Also, you can down load the iPod Touch Users Guide for iOS 8 for free from iTunes. It will answer most questions, or at least point you in a direction. Hope this helps. Good luck, Cheers.

My frustration is just with the fact that Apple have become so arrogant as they have grown and have stopped considering their customers like they used too. When releasing new products they make changes like this that provide no benifit at all and they dont think about how it will affect their whole user base.
Bottom line is that I shouldnt have to resort to a forum and then follow a process to create a bootable disk for Mac OSX when I could do it with the last version with no problems......another example is the removal of the YouTube apps from iphone and ipad just because its owned by Google....its pathetic!
Anyway sorry to go on about it........for others looking for a solution to this problem, this link provides a good, simple process to allow you to create a boot disk for Mountain Lion. -
I need a refund of $8 bucks the Merry Axemas album cost because I just wanted one song that wouldn't download OR
just the one song in it's ENTIRETY instead of just half of it.
The beauty here is I only wanted one song but iTunes would NOT allow download of just one song making the user - ME- attempt to download the whole album which of course was short the ONLY song I desired downloaded.
Would you please remedy this situation pronto?Please be aware that you are not communicating with Apple when you post in these forums. The people who will reply to your posts are, like me, in almost all cases your fellow users.
If the track you wanted was only available when purchasing the entire album, as I see most on that album are, then that was how the content owner insisted it be done and there's nothing Apple can do about it. If you then chose to purchase the entire album, that was your choice. It's unlikely that Apple will now refund your money on that basis.
As to a defective track, delete the problem track(s) from the iTunes library, allowing iTunes to move the track file(s) to the Trash. Then download the track(s) again from the iTunes Store via this procedure:

That fixes the problem for many people. If problems with the tracks persist, go here:

and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.

Remove Quicktime from being the default player? I just want to download
Here's the deal, I'm trying download a file from this website "yousendit" and whenever I attempt to just download the file, the Quicktime 7 media player begins playing the file right away.
I don't want to watch the file, I want to download the file.
How I can change my settings on either quicktime or Windows Vista such that I can just download the file in the first place?

LiaTry just right-clicking on the link to the downloaded file. In most browsers you'll get some variant of a command to download the file to your computer. That would bypass the QuickTime browser plugin.
