I just want to sync my files....

Question

Ok So I get a new iPod Touch. I'm trying to figure out how to do something simple as sync to iTunes on two PCs, my home and work PC, to make sure I have all the songs from both. I get it working on my work PC then take it home and sync to my home pc and get a message about erasing my files? Why would I want to do that? So I hit cancel and it exits iTunes? Huh?
So I decide to post this on a community forum in order to get some help. I go to the Apple website and navigate to community and the page loads only the header gives me an error?

Rather than show my results it tries to force me to sign in. Well, shouldn't be needed, but I enter my Apple ID and Password and of course is doesn't work. I guess I must not recall my password, so I do the lost password function and it sends me a password reset. I click on the link and am greeted with:
"Invalid Link
We apologize, but we are unable to verify the link you used to access this page. Please click Continue to return to the main page and start over."
I try reseting the password several more times with same invalid link message. So giving up I  created a new Apple User ID. After creating it it asked me to log back in so I entered my new information and received a confirmation email of my new ID. But guess what, that's right, when I log in - Your Apple ID or password was entered incorrectly. Forgot your Apple ID? 
So after trying to reenter it several times it automatically tries to reset the password again. I comply and get:
"Email has been sent. When you receive your sign in information, follow the directions in the email to reset your password."
I check my email, nothing. Minutes go by, nothing. So I go back to the forum and log back in using the password I had previously tried and it now works?
I am a person with a computer engineering background and having problems, what do people who dont know anything about computers do? It shouldn't be this much trouble to use an MP3 player all I want to do is sync files from both my PCs!

An iPod can only sync with one iTunes library. That is why yu are getting the message when yu try to sync it to the other library/computer. You can however, manage music and viodeos among multiple computer by:
