On the introductory window, also make sure you pick from the top choices under Word Processing - I just use "Blank". If you choose the Blank under the sedon set (page layout), you will have to get a text box. I use that setting if I have a lot of images I want to insert and then have text around/near the images.

When you're done with that page, it should automatically move to the next one or you can choose another blank page in the pulldown in the toolbar.

Text / forward and business card

I know that the iPhone can't forward texts or send business cards via SMS. I have been through the Apps store and can't find anything that will solve this. Does anyone know of anything on the horizon to correct this or of any available apps?
p.s. I am aware of the email apps that are available to send business cards but I'm specifically looking for SMS.

You can use Text Edit.
Then from the Text Edit menu bar click File / Print.

Can I edit/replace the text of a business card I scanned as a pdf?

I'm using PSE 9 on Windows XP with SP3.
My wife and I are in an organization called Love on a Leash which brings dogs to people in
hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, etc. They have a very nice business card
that we can use on the visits. I scanned in the card for our chapter leader into Acrobat.
Then I opened that pdf in PSE. All I really need to do is change the name, e-mail and
phone number and we would be set. But I thought before I started hunting and pecking I'd
post to see if there was an easy/best way to accompish that task.

I also found a way to duplicate the color (I think).
When I started the Text Tool, I clicked in the box in the tool bar that has a bubble that says 'Set the text color'.
That brings up the Select the color window.
From there I can navigate out to my card image and the pointer changes to the Eyedropper.
There I can pick up a drop of the color that I need. Another problem solved!

Is there any way to turn off the auto formatting in Pages? I just want to type a letter and add pictures and titles, and Pages keeps changing font sizes and doesn't let me "Do it my way". I HATE this!

Pages keeps changing the font size! I typed a large heading as a title, and when I try to change to a smaller font for the body of the letter, it changes the size back to the larger size! I am getting SO FRUSTRATED! I've spent over an hour trying to get the stupid program to let me just type my letter! Can anyone help?

The only one left is the "unsubmitted text" dialogue, which would not be a problem if I were not a Facebook user; after updating the "Richard is..." field (which does not require a manual submit to actually send) I get the above message. This is obviously Safari just not realising that the info has been sent and is therefore (I imagine) one for Apple themselves to answer!!

Not being a Facebook User, I'm not sure how to respond to the error situation. However, this would be something to report to Apple as a bug via the Safari Menu. First, open to the page in question, then select "Report Bugs to Apple".

Unless the card says the amount on it then the only way to know its value is to redeem it onto an account - there isn't a page to type in it's redemption code to check its value

No, this canot be done, afaik. When your camera or card is connected, you will see the thumbnails in the camera pane, but not full size preview. So to browse your photos on the iPad you will need to import them to your camera roll. But you need not delete them from the camera or card after importing, so you might simply import selected photos to your camera roll from the camera grid and then delete them again from the camera roll after importing and browsing, without removing them from the card/camera.

There are many, many other options. Search on MacUpdate.
You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.

Is there a way to type text onto a Customized Slide in which I imported into Final Cut Pro 10.0.7 (my operating system is Snow Leopard)?

I don't think you understand the question, I want use a slide that I generated from outside of Final Cut Pro and want to be able to modify that slide by typing text or taking text that I generated outside of Final Cut Pro and pasting it into the slide without having to import the slide into Final Cut Pro. The reason I want to do that is because the Slides in Final Cut Pro do not do what I want it to do....I am putting large amounts of text in my presentation and to have to import each slide individually takes too much time.

You should be able to sync both to the same iTunes - I sync my iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch to the same computer. With the iPad connected and selected on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, you can use the tabs on the right-hand side to select which of your iTunes content to sync to it, so you can control which apps, photos, music etc are synced to it, and (via the Info tab) from which email account your contacts are synced from. Your computer's iTunes should remember your syncing preferences for each device.

Help Please!! Just Want Text No Background

First, thanks for reading my plea for help. I'm 100% new to Photoshop CS I have ZERO experience. The Company I work for wants to create the company Logo in Photoshop. After, creating the logo we will import it into our Flash Website Source.
The Logo is just the first 2 letters of the Company Name. That's it. Sounds Simple. The name is Madison Park. The logo is a simple MP. That's it just MP.
The problem is that when I create the Text MP in photoshop it saves the Background with the Text. So, imagine MP with a Gray Background. I Don't want the Background I just want the letters MP. The goal is just have a jpeg or BMAP with the letters MP no background color.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. How do I create it without saving the background and what type of file should I save it as JPEG, BMAP?

If you save the file as a png (Using save for web), then that should do the trick.

See the bgcolor= ? That's the background color. In the iWeb color inspector window chose the web safe color palette, and you will see the number codes that correspond to the colors. just type in the numbers you want and that will change the background color.
