I just wanted to post this again.
I finally got my video ipod to update, I found this in a post back a few pages and it worked for me so I hope this can help anyone else having problems with your ipod not updating/itunes not recognizing ur ipod.

This is great except Ipod wasn't there. There were two blank spots, but I don't know what they are. So, no help here...

My iPad2 works great now after IOS 8.1 Update
I did my iPad2 update thru iTunes on my iMac and it was sucking the iMacs memory very low during the update. Safari froze before loading the first web page and I did a hard boot and went fishing as I saw where it was going to take a long time to recover. When I tried again it wasn't quite right and then did one more hard boot and then did a Reset by going to General-Reset-"Reset all Settings" and it works real well now without loosing any data and in-home wi-fi clocks at 17Mbps download. Probably like most of you I’m sticking with OSX 10.9.5 Mavericks as it gets the job done very nicely and don’t need all that extra fancy stuff that probably will slow things down. -
Ads feedback: "I don't want to hear this again" button
Anyone else get really annoyed by adverts for rubbish music that you are not at all interested in?
Or you are listening with the kids and an advert for a song that is just swear words comes on?
How about an "I don't want to hear this again" button for adverts?
Hopefully then we will get more tailored adverts that match our tastes better too.Marked as new idea and edited the title slightly to make it easier to find via search.
You might also be interested to add your kudos to a similar idea about reporting ads that you find offensive here. ;) -

If that is the case, why even bother with iOS? Doesn't Instagram let you upload on a desktop computer?

I purchased an audiobook from my iPod. It seems it is corrupted. I want to re- download it to my iPad but it says, "You've already purchased this.mdo you want to buy it again?" Why can't i DL the audiobook to my iPad. It is an associated device. Thank you.
Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download, so you won't be able to download it from the store without re-purchasing it. If it hasn't downloaded correctly then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that audiobook and use the 'Report a Problem' link. When that has fixed and you can then re-download it and sync it to your devices

Silverlight fails to install on Vista - just want to watch netflix again
I just want to watch Netflix and now I can't because Silverlight tells me that "Your operating system does not support the 64-bit version of Silverlight." But according to Microsoft's compatibility page I should have no problem installed the update
on Vista. Any insight would be great. Was going to uninstall and attempt to reinstall but the "view video on how to uninstall" on the website also doesn't work. So frustrating.
Am I missing something here?

Thanks.I had to completely rebuild my system a couple of months ago (Vista Ultimate x64) and Silverlight installed with no hassles at all. But Netflix recommended I upgrade Silverlight so I tried to and the install failed with nonsensical errors. Also, my previous
install is now trashed.
I downloaded the installer automatically, saved it and ran it from the hard drive, but received the false error that I was not running an x64 system.
Out of curiosity I I tried running the installer under IE x64 and got the warning that Silverlight x64 does not work with IE x64. This is very strange considering that Silverlight 64 supposedly works fine with Firefox, if you can get it to install. Or so
I am told.
Why does the Silverlight installer think I am not running an x64 system?
I wound up reinstalling the version from last January, but I cannot tell if it is 32- or 64-bit. The Netflix stream I had selected just started running. Is there any way to sell what bit version of Silverlight you are using? I am successfully running Silverlight
plug-in 5.1.20125.0 modified 1/24/2013 8:09 p.m. I do not recall doing anything special to install it. -

How do we finish a film that was cut using FCPX?
I have to export the conformed video and generate a cut list for color and VFX - but can't cuz FCPX only exports FCP EDLs
I have to Export the extensive sound and dialogue edits to mix and master PROFESSIONALLY, but can't export an OMF or an AAF with Tracks, handles or anything resembling a professional work flow... cuz all we have are "roles"...
-I've tried Xto7 and the program is garbage - esp for dialogue relinking - because all the dialogue is married to the video and Xto7 wants to relink to the r3d media not the AIFF sound roles.
-I've heard about XtoPro - but am scared it will fail as well.
-Assigning roles to the audio clips? Been there done that and it's garbage. would take me weeks and still cant export with handles, or original media, and tracks come out pre-mixed - it's really ridiculous.
Help would be greatly appreciated. And apple, if you need some help redesigning FCPX from a working professional editor and long time proponent of FCP7 - feel free to contact me, cuz from here on out, it's avid all the way.Sorry Jeff, very few people know what is involved in the typical feature world, or broadcast TV world, when it comes to workflow needs. So they won't be able to offer suggestions that solve the questions you have.
I wish that I could offer more options myself, but I don't know FCX. I do know that with audio ROLES, you assign audio to various roles. DIA, SFX, MUSIC, SOT...and then audio can just be a jumbled mess (that's one of my big issues with X). This can be done at any time, and then when you export for ProTools...you'll need to use the XtoPro application. HOW? Unsure...I just know that it's what you use.
FCX doesn't do EDLs...because it doesn't think we need them any more. True, they are older than the hills, but they still serve a useful purpose for many workflows. Truth be told, if this was going to be finished in the traditional Hollywood way, FCX shouldn't have been used at all. It's fine if you use newer methods, and there are plenty of new workflows that this fits in with nicely. If your colorist uses RESOVE...the newer versions...then you can export an XML that it can read. VFX? Not sure what to do for them.
This is a case of jumping in without thinking about finishing. Not your fault...you are taking it over. It's the fault of the editor and post supervisor (if there was one). The best way to go forward from here is to try to find places that can deal with exports FCX does...places hip with newer workflows. -
Why in the world is it that everytime I attempt to report a problem with The TV Show "The Walking Dead Season 2 episode 1" Itunes redirects me to their main page..**
I have recently started having this problem in PSE8. The Adobe workaround
did work, but I don't fancy having to re register each time I use it.
What I have discovered is that it's nothing to do with the image metadata as it occurs before any image is opened.
It SEEMS to only occur if you use file/open with to open an image in the editor - IE start PSE with that command.
If you close elements down, and start it using programs/PSE/Elements (or your desktop shortcut) - the panorama feature magically works.
Each time I've opened the editor 'automatically' using image/open with, it seems to create the problem.

How do I go about disconnecting an application module from the database in JClient
First I do

then
appMod.getApplicationModule().remove();
this does not disconnect the user from the database
if I try
appMod.getApplicationModule().getTransaction().disconnect();
I get an error of null pointer if I do the first two above
or JBO-30014 if I don't call the second method.
