Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least 15 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
after that click okay when it says itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. Then click restore
after that try again -
I have a Samsung Convoy "dumb" phone, and I plan to keep it until Verizon forces me to some **** overpriced "smart" phone. Since they migrated Backup Assistant to "the Cloud", I am unable to print a hard copy list of contacts. The web site just runs you around in circles, never getting to the answer of how to print out contacts. I'm sure the marketing people and web creators just love this Frankenstein monster they have built, but for me and my phone, it's just a huge pain in the ***! Do they plan to fix this, or just let us dinosaurs go away and die?

I have updated both my iphone 4G and my husbands 4G with the nAew 5 update but now have his contacts on my phone and everytime he downloads an app it goes on my phone. How can I change this? Do I have to have two separate Apple ID's

It does not sound like a battery problem.
Try a couple of things:
1. Reset the SMC

2. Reset (if you can) the PRAM

If that does not help, delete the mouse in system preferences, turn it off, restart, and turn the mouse back on.

What is the preferred virus scan program for iphone? I believe that I have a virus. My phone will come on by itself and it appears to be recording audio. I have read about spyware/surveilance viruses that will record audio and take photos.
My phone is not jailbroken. I don't know what you mean about hacked. Maybe it is hacked? This is what is happening: About three times over the past few months I've noticed that my phone while "off" will come on (light up) and the screen shows an arrow towards the bottom; an arrow such that you would see on various "players" in order to "play" video or audio, I've searched my phone and cannot find any app that produces this particular screen though. Once I pick up the phone when this screen myseriously appears out of nowhere and press anything, it goes away and goes to the standard "slider" front page to unlock the phone.

When i got on itunes after i was told my iphone4 is unlocked. I got this MSG that this sim is not supported then I can't do anything. I don't have any icons on my phone and I can't restore thru iTunes. Anyone has similar experience? What do u do? AT&T told me my phone is unlocked but I can't do anything need help. My sim is with TMobile.
You'll need to either a) insert your AT&T SIM card and then restore the phone, or b) force your iPhone into recovery mode. If you re-insert the AT&T SIM card, make sure you swap it with your new T-Mobile one before you start the setup assistant. If you force the phone into recovery mode then just leave the T-Mobile SIM card in it.
You must restore your iPhone to complete the setup assistant so that your phone can be activated with T-Mobile.

I don't know how to restore them.Ringtones are currently a one-time only download from the store. If they aren't on your phone or in the Tones section of your computer's iTunes library, then are they on your backup of your downloads ? I bought a new mac and my music in itunes didn't transfer over from my old cpu. Most of it was put on with cd's I have. Can I transfer the music from my I-phone to itunes on my mac?
It sounds like there's something amiss with either your ID or the new system you're using. I've been using iTM on a Win7 and OSX SL system and have been able to upload and download to the Cloud on both. I've been using them interchangeably for the last week or so.
I would also recommennd giving Apple support a call, to see what they say. -

Firefox shut down & updated in the middle of my work; I could not restore my session; you have literally cost me my job and future if this cannot be fixed. I don't understand why it updated without me prompting it to. It also never ask to report a crash.
I went to play a youtube video, my entire screen flashed, when the screen came back, the youtube video screen was green. I refreshed the page and my system stopped- a blue screen appeared and something about verifying disk or something. My system the restarted, and when I opened firefox, it first said preparing updates and when it did finally open, the new updated version, of course, I could not restore my previous session.You can check in the Firefox profile folder to see if there are numbered sessionstore-##.js present.<br />
