I keep being asked to verify my account and a security code even though I am trying to download updates

Launch iTunes. From the menu bar click Store / View My Account / Edit Payment Information.
Make sure your billing information, Security code and expiration date are correct then click Done.
Now try to download updates.
Apple verifies your billing information, even for updates.

HOW TO FIX "INVALID SECURITY CODE" PROBLEM:
Since apple's "customer support" consists of a whole bunch of ******** derelicts who blame you or your credit card company for this message, I had to take it upon myself to figure out a way around the problem. All you have to do is change your billing information in iTunes from your credit card to PayPal.
I was getting this same ridiculous "invalid security code" message when I knew I had entered it correctly!
It's funny, because PayPal recognized it as a valid account and security code, and now all my apps finally work again.
Open iTunes
Go to the Store
On the right, click on "Account"
Next to "Payment Type", click "Edit"
Click the PayPal logo and either enter your existing PayPal account info or create a new one (as I did)
I'm not a fan of PayPal, therefore I never had one. I created one really quickly and even used the same account that mysteriously stopped working. (AND WITH NO PROBLEMS... THANKS, APPLE)
I really hope this helps anyone with this same problem as it is really frustrating when somebody **cough cough apple** tells you that you're doing something wrong when you know you're not, and takes no liability whatsoever when the error is on their behalf.

You need to contact Apple to get the questions reset. Click here, phone them, and ask for the Account Security team, or fill out and submit this form.

I have never had to enter a password to access mail. However, recently, I keep being asked for password on my ****** address. Only on my macbook. (which, btw, has a version number the drop down doesn't offer as a choice. I had to putt 9.4)

When I look up the account the "password" is a long string of gobbledygook. Something I would never do.
But when I attempt to use that pw I still can't get in.
I have no trouble accessing that email account on my mac mini. Just on the macbook.

I'm confess I'm still trying to get a handle on your problem. You do a fantastic job of describing it ... but I'm just trying to picture it accurately in my head.
I think, were I in your shoes, I'd begin by looking at what the debug page has to say for the specific destination in which you're interested in fixing. In other words, I'm not clear on where, exactly, this destination points ...

Is that your site, or the division within your site that you want to fix? "Normally", you do not need to specify a site handle to get to your site within your transfer CGI ... if you say "uillinois.edu", it's enough to transfer your users to iTunes U ... but every site still has a handle, and you could, if you wanted to, actually specify it in your transfer CGI. For example, this:

is for a division within my site ... but it's impossible to tell the difference between "site" and "division" from just the handle (I mean, if I didn't say "this is a site" and "this is a division", there'd be no way for you to know). So when I look at your creds and permissions on your debug page, I can't quite tell if they give you download access for your site, or for the specific division you want to fix. If you could open the debug page with your division as destination (or confirm that that's what we're looking at), it'd rule out some things.

Start here, and reset your security questions, you will receive an email to your rescue address, use the link in the email and reset your security questions.
If that doesn't help or you don't have a rescue address, you might try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support

That refers to the 3 digit security code on the back of your credt card, not a security code for the iPad.

Thunderbird has nothing to do with administering your email password and is not going to send you anything. I am not even sure where you requested that something be sent to you unless it is for the password to this forum which has nothing to do with your email.
Your email provider would have a link to reset your password on their email help page.
I would go to your providers web mail page and see if your username and password work thee. if they do then you might have incorrect server settings causing the password error.

It's a really bad idea to post your email addresess - it's an invitation to spam - and I've asked the Hosts to remove them.
This is a user-to-user forum and no-one on here can take any direct action. If your Yahoo address is not working that's something you would need to take up with Yahoo - have you checked it by sending yourself an email to it?
Otherwise you will need to contact Support: go to https://expresslane.apple.com/ and click on 'iTunes' in the center column and then 'iTunes Store' in the right-hand column and proceed from there.

Trying to get access to files in the library. And the user is having permissions but when he clicked the file in the library he is being ask for an Infopath username and password.

According to your post, my understanding is that access document in Library is being asking for an Infopath username and password.
Usually this error when the form is not connected to any of the data sources successfully. Please verify all the data connections are available or not.
I recommend to enable the options for Infopath Form Services to ensure that InfoPath 2010 is in online mode.
In addition, you can add your SharePoint server’s FQDN to your Trusted Sites or Intranet Sites zone and modify your registry settings for the WebClient service.
