Sorry, I don't have any suggestions at this time. You can try running the Network Diagnostics in iTunes:

and post the results here. That may provide some clues that someone can use to diagnose the problem and offer suggestions.

I've been getting the same message for like an hour now. Since everything was working fine a few hours ago, and nothing changed on my end before it stopped working, I'm guessing it's something on Apple's end. They probably already know about it by now, and are hopefully working on fixing it, so there's probably not much we can do but wait for them to fix it.

Is there a place to see if there is service or maintenance happening right now? Haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store via Computer or Ipod for more than an hour? I've seen other posts about this same issue with no resolution listed, is there a resolution to this?
Yeah it's been happening to me too. It might be ITunes maintenance time or something. I can't do anything right now. Heck, I can't even log out without getting that same message.

Keep having isues trying to download music...Message states we could not complete Itunes Store request. The Itunes store is temporarily unavailable Please try again later. It has now been 3 days. Anybody know what the fix is..Cheers

This happens on both the iTunes Store on my iPhone 4S and on the desktop version of the iTunes Store.

It also says it when i try to buy something.
Turns out I had the same issue on WIndows (which I do not use a lot ...°.
Here is how I solved it on Windows 7:
- Quit iTunes (and Safari if you have it)
- Openan Explorer window ("My Computer" for example)
- Well hidden in the upper bar under "Organize" choose "Folder and search options"
- In the "view" tab, make sure that "Show hidden files, folders and drives" is checked and click OK
- Navigate to C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\Cookies or YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\Cookies if that is easier
- Delete everything in that folder
- (I am not sure this is necessary) you might want to also trash items in the YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Cookies folder
- Launch iTunes
- Connect to your iTunes account
- Smile :-) -

Exact same problem here. Might be coincidental, but it started after upgrading to 10.6.5. Strangely, I have two accounts and only one of them is showing the error. The other one logs in just fine.

Apple tv 2 says "iTunes store is currently unavailable. Try again later." on some rentals in iCloud. Anyone else seeing this?
I can access youtube and movie trailers. My location setting is set as United States - I don't know if there is another "store region" setting. I signed in & out & in again using my apple ID & password - all that works fine.

I am getting an error "The catalog selected is currently unavailable:Please try again later" when select a sold to party. I am not getting this every time. Only sometimes i am getting this error. When i delete the temperorary files from internet explorer sometimes this error is not coming. What might be the reason for this error??

Please let us know whether the error is thrown for all the sold to parties or for some.
This error is caused because the catalog cache is flushed out . A quick solution would be to replicate the product catalog from the CRM system to TREX system. -
I upgraded my verizon 4g phone to ios 5 on Thursday. Everything seemed to transfer ok however of my three yahoo accounts, the primary one's password didn't transfer. I went to settings, mail, selected the email address and input the password however it won't take it and gives me the following error "Server Unavailable Please try again later". I have attempted to try again, no good. I have attempted to restore the phone, even worse, then none of the three email accounts (all yahoo) will take the password. As it is the other two accounts currently work on the phone as the phone is after upgrading. Please help!
Yes, someone posted a bypass and it works! Go to settings > mail, contacts, calendars > Add Account > select "OTHER" > add mail account > follow prompts > (IMAP) for incoming mail server host name input imap.mail.yahoo.com, user name and password > for outgoing mail server input smtp.mail.yahoo.com.
I contacted Apple. They are aware of the problem. Apparently the ios5 is having issues with yahoo mail. It has nothing to do with waiting etc... I updated my software on Thursday and have continually been attempting to go through yahoo but it won't work. The Apple technician I spoke to assured me they were working on it and to check with updates regularly to see if they have resolved the problem. Hope this is helpful.
