I keep getting a messege ipad hasen't been backed up in 2 weeks.
Happens every 2 weeks, a pop up message shows and says "This iPad hasn't been back up in 2 weeks. Backups happen when this iPad is plugged in, locked and connected to Wi-Fi." So I do what it says and the pop up wont go away and it won't allow me to unlock my iPad. The only way I figured out how to get it to go away is drain the battery but that takes forever. iPad battery's are awesome and take for ever to die. Does anyone have any ideas to help me. Anything is appreciated.
Thanks
Try this.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

How do I back up iPad? I do turn off completely daily.
As long as you keep it turned on, then yes it is on. What I meant is that it must be connected to a WiFi network as well as WiFi being turned on.
You can have WiFi turned on in the settings, but that doesn't mean that you are connected to a network. When you are at home, you would be connected to your home WiFi network. If you try again tonight - or whenever you plug your iPad into recharge, just don't power the iPad off. Leave it turned on and the backups should occur automatically.
But let me also say that you so have to have this enabled properly in the settings. Settings> iCloud> Storage & Backup> iCloud Backup> On. Make sure you have the iPad set up for automatic backups. -
Greetings,
Any help would be appreciated.

A dialog box has appeared on the screen of my iPad2 and has frozen the device so that I can't close it down or make changes to the settings. The titel is "iCloud Backup" and it reads: This iPad hasn't been backed up in 4 weeks. Backups happen when this iPad is plugged in, locked, and connected to WiFi.
I'm not sure why it hasn't backed up but I can't do anything to clear the dialog box, turn off the device or get to any settings or apps on the device.
Any suggestions? Please help -- I'm caring for my mother in hospice and don't have time to deal with this at the Apple Store!Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Hold Sleep and Home buttons for 10 seconds until the device restarts, so you will be able to use the iPad again.
It will try to make a backup every time your iPad is plugged to the charger and connected to a network. To prevent that this message appears soon, open Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup, and choose Backup Now -
I have an IPad 2 and when I woke it up it gave me an error message on the desktop: "iCloud backup: This IPad hasn't been backed up in 3 weeks. Backups happen when this IPad is plugged in, locked, and connected to Wi-Fi." I have done all of these and it still doesn't allow me to get rid of the error message. I even connected the IPad to the computer and attempted to back it up using the Web but it still doesn't get rid of the message. Help!
Reset your iPad to clear that condition:
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). -

My iPad has not been backed up in 32 weeks. Now I cannot get in to my iPad. Please help.
If you have that message on your iPad's screen then try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
You can then force a backup via Settings > iCloud > Backup -
