Why am I getting a popup for a website that my browser cannot even find?! I have tried EVERYTHING I know to do. I've cleaned out my cookies, installed malware, and I've been on this site several times, trying whatever I think will help. NOTHING has. I do know, however, it only happens on Firefox. It does NOT happen on Explorer or Chrome. If I cannot resolve this, I suppose my only option is to use one of those instead.

the router password is admin by default. Leave the username blank. But for this issue you may check the security setting of your internet options. Disable it from there.

Firefox 3.6.10 update won't load on restart (tried many times) and exits after warning to restart again - how to disable warning so don't have to start twice every time I use Firefox?

I regret agreeing to download Firefox 3.6.10 update, as it is somehow corrupted, and will not load when I restart. Subsequently, every time I start Firefox, it warns "Update Ready to Install", then when I don't restart (if I restart, it won't load) it exits, and I have to start Firefox a second time. Then it works without the warning, but when I exit and start Firefox again, the warning returns and the cycle repeats. This is such a nuisance I have gone back (reluctantly) to Explorer. Is there anyway for me to get rid of this corrupted update and go back to before I downloaded the fateful update?

All ready have 3.6.12 but keeps trying to install and i keep getting failed message every time i start my computer

every time i start my computer says update 3.6.12 ready to install. no matter how many time i have clicked install i get a message -- partail update not be applied. i all ready have 3.6.12 and cant get the thing to stop

It shouldn't be necessary to reboot the computer to complete an update. 
If a reboot is needed then that usually means that some (security) software is blocking files or you need elevated Administrator permissions. 
Run the Firefox program once as Administrator (right-click: Run as ... : Administrator).
If that still causes the same problem then remove the Firefox program folder to do a clean install. You need to download a fresh copy of the full version from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html

Scam popups full pages interfering every time I use Firefox

I have a list of a few of the scam pages. They are not just popups but whole pages covering the page I'm in and I can't always quit them but have to shut down Firefox. I have blocked everything I can find and it has no effect.
I have asked for help some time ago for this but no response. I'm a student and need a good browser but I have been putting up with others because I can't use Firefox.
I have a Mac, 10.6.8, and Office 2011.
Surely someone can help with this.

I have been getting a popup every time I open safari. It will not allow me to use safari. It gives me a phone number to call to fix the problem. In the meantime I can't use safari.

I Have been getting a pop up when I open safari telling me there is a threat of a hacking attack
on my browser. It asks me to go to a website http//pctechief.com for a fix. I am afraid to reply to
this website.

There are several ways to recover.
1. Some of those scam pages can be dismissed very easily. Press the key combination command-W to close the tab or window. A huge box will pop up. Press the return key and both the box and the page will close. If that doesn't happen, continue.
2. Press and hold command-W. You may hear repeating alert sounds. While holding the keys, click the OK button in the popup. A different popup may appear, which you can cancel out of as usual.
3. From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
and uncheck the box marked Enable JavaScript. Leave the preferences dialog open.
Close the malicious window or tab.
Re-enable JavaScript and close the preferences dialog.
4. If the Preferences menu item is grayed out, quit Safari. Force quit if necessary. Relaunch it by holding down the shift key and clicking its icon in the Dock. None of the windows and tabs will reopen.
After closing the malicious page, from the menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
to get rid of any cookies or other data left by the server. Open your Downloads folder and delete anything you don't recognize.

Firefox keeps getting blocked almost every time shockwave flash pluign is running

Whenever I kill shockvawe crash, 90% of times, firefox starts working again, but I can't see the video I wanted too. This is specially frustrating when I oen a new tab containing an ad that uses the plugin :-(
