I keep getting a restart box every night to install the new Firefox. Why do I keep getting this box if it's already installed?

I've already installed the new Firefox, but every night, I keep getting a box that asks if I want to restart Firefox to install the new version. This happens all the time. Why am I getting this box if it's already installed?

That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

After force restart also same issue (still the download status is showing the same and again getting stuck) for 4-5 times and then it asks for to clear all the data. After that it is working fine. Again If I download something facing the same issue. Its really irritating. I am using windows7.

I read a way on another forum to fix this problem. Right click on the setup.exe and select "Run as administrator" this should solve your problem.

Are you using a Mac machine or Windows PC?
If using a Mac machine, go to Application-->Utilities-->Adobe Installer-->old apps names and run the uninstaller for old apps.
If you are using Windows PC, go to Control panel-->>Program and Features and uninstall the old apps.
It will uninstall everything related to old apps, but your setting must be imporated to new version of apps.

When I try to attach photos or files to an email by clicking on the attach box nothing comes up since I installed the new Firefox.

When I try to attach photos to an email, and I click on attach, usually the box comes up with all the files in the computer and I can select from them. Now, since I downloaded the newest version of Firefox, when I click on attach, nothing comes up. When I downloaded this new version, I do recall that several things were not compatible with the new Firefox and some new things that were comparable were installed. A tab bar, and several others at the top of the screen now look different but my email/yahoo page looks exactly the same so I can't tell what's different. I was curious if something was blocking pop ups or other screens to come up. If this can't be figured out I would appreciate someone telling me how I can undo this new version and go back to the one that wasn't broken in the first place.

I uninstalled the old version Firefox then I tried to install the new one. But it asks me to restart my computer to completely uninstall the old version. I had tried to restart my computer for few times but i still cant install the new firefox version.

I cant install the new version. Everytime i tried to process the program it asks me restart my laptop.

Run the Firefox program once as Administrator (right-click: Run as Administrator). 
If that doesn't help then do a clean reinstall.
Do a clean (re)install:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Don't remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

On the back button is the little drop down arrow completely gone, or is there a way I can I get it back. With the new Firefox I have to keep hitting back over and over again?

Maybe it didn't install correctly, I have Windows XP if that makes a difference. I know from the tour when the new one loaded there is supposed to be a bookmarks thing next to the new location for home but it's not on there either. It's still on my toolbar so I don't care enough to fix it so there is no need for anyone to address it, I just put the info in case it tells you something about it not installing properly.
Sorry, it's not easy for older people to keep up with all the daily website changes, adding browser changes adds to the confusion. I hope my head doesn't explode one day. Thank you for the help.

You can get the drop down list by either right-clicking on the back/forward buttons, or holding down the left button until the list appears.
If you want the drop-down arrow you can add it with the Back/forward dropmarker add-on - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker

When you go to install it they will probably show you where to find the key. If the key isn't where they told you to find it you should take it back to where you got it and #1 ask them where it is and #2 if they can't find it get a replacement.

@glennhaste, the public pages I visited seem identical in IE8 and Fx10, but you may be referring to a part of the site that requires logging in (impossible for non-customers to view).
Since the problem is so recent, can you recall any changes you made in Firefox, or are you aware of any changes your CU made on its site?
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
1. Clear Firefox's Cache
Firefox > Preferences > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Offline Storage : "Clear Now"
2. If needed, delete the site's cookies here
While viewing a page on the site, "right-click" and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies" (''Sorry, I don't know how you right-click on a Mac'')
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
