I keep getting an error that says "Unable to reach Adobe servers."

I only get this on my laptop, not my desktop, and I am using the same internet connection. I have checked my firewall, and it seems to be fine. Please help! This has been going on for several days now!

We have had itunes on this pc for 2 years and recently it wouldn't open and another error message kept popping up saying it couldn't open because MSVCR80.dll was missing. I have unistalled the apple programs and tried reinstalling several times but to no avail. Hopefully my music library is not gone. Any Ideas out there?

With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

Note that you should be cautious when you get the 'untrusted' error message and that you should never create a permanent exception in cases like this without investigating the cause.
If you have created a permanent exception then best is to remove it in the Server tab in the Certificate Manager.

Close iTunes and disconnect the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Click the Windows Start button .
In the Start Search field type Services.
In the Programs section of the search results, Click "Services".
Select Apple Mobile Device and click Stop the service as shown below:
After the service has stopped, click Start the service.
After the Apple Mobile Device service has started again, open iTunes and connect the device.
Set the Apple Mobile Device Service Startup type to Automatic
Remove and reinstall iTunes and AMDS

I am selling my Macbook and am trying to erase and do a clean install of 10.6. I keep getting an error that says I can't install OSX on this computer and can only restore from a back up. I've tried repartitioning the disk and made sure it was GUID.

After restoring the disk from a back up, I'm still getting the same error. Why won't it let me erase and re-install??

Are you using the original gray-faced OS X DVDs that came with the system (if so, what OS X level does it say on the disk) or a retail copy of OS X 10.6 or another gray-faced OS X disk from another system? You can't use a gray-faced OS X disk from, for example, an iMac or MacBook Pro, to install on your MacBook.
Was it originally delivered with an OS X level that is greater than what you're trying to install? You can't install an earlier level than what came with the system.
Did you boot to the DVD, and use Disk Utility to create one disk partition, then reboot and try to install?

TG10987 has outlined a procedure, it helped in may case. After upgrading to iTunes 11.1.0.126 Apple SW destroyed internet accessibility (WLAN and LAN).
