I am working on a Mac OS X Version 10.6.8, just need to know if I can reprogram the keys to stop this happening?

My wife has an ipad2 which is synced to my ipad (on snow leopard).
When she opens an email it opens it on the imac, and when she deletes an email it deletes it from the imac, whether it has already been opened on the imac or nt.
This is very frutrating and annoying.
Any ideas?It is hardly Apple's fault that Epson can't/won't update their driver, but at least Epson suggest that you use the Gutenprint driver, which in any case is far better that what Epson offer.

CDDB in itunes is not bringing up the name of songs on CDs when importing into itunes. This has been going on for a couple of weeks. Any help?
I have, a couple different pairs, unfortunately, and still no change. TBH, the headphones don't bug me nearly as bad as the fact that I can't plug my iPod into a radio or speaker with an audio cable and hear my latest purchases. Drives me crazy that I can't listen to my tunes!

What version of iTunes do you have installed? If you are trying to update to iOS 6 you need iTunes 10.7 or later.

Sounds like it's hardware issue. The iPhone warranty is based in the original country of purchase. Since it was bought in Korea you will need to ship the phone to someone you know in Korea to be taken in and then they will have to ship it back to you. The cost of shipping will be at your expense.

I have been editing a document on my MacBook Pro and iPad, which has the newer versions of Pages. Now, I cannot open on My MacBook. It says I need a newer version of OS. However, I'm not showing a newer version being availabe!!! Can anyone help???
That is Pages for iPad v2.0, which Pages '09 v4.3 can't read.
You need to either stick with the older version of Pages on the iPad or get Pages 5 for the Mac which is only available if you are running OSX 10.9 Mavericks.
Unfortunately that is not the end of your woes because Apple has made iCloud convert the files to Pages 5 now, and Pages 5 has over 90 features deleted on top of doing a shocking job of converting older Pages files.

Standard troubleshooting...
Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
Remove all apps from Recently Used list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Tap and hold any icon in this list until they wiggle
- Press the red to delete apps from this list.
- Press the home button twice when done.
If still a problem restore with your backup.
If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue. -

I'm sorry no-one has answered you yet - I'm afraid I don't know the answer to the question: but I wanted to put into your mind that starting up with AppleWorks at this stage isn't a good idea. The program was 'end-of-lifed' years ago, it won't run on Lion, and some of the document types created in it - Databases in particular - cannot be opened at all by any other program whatever. Word Processing documents can be opened in Pages, and Spreadsheets in Numbers (with some reservations in both cases), but building up a collection of AppleWorks documents at this stage is going to lead to problems later on.
It's difficult to know what to recommend for a PowerPC machine that would still be compatible with modern ones. An older version of Microsoft Office, perhaps, if you can find one which will run on PPC; but most of the modern Word Processors are Intel only. This is something you would need to investigate. -

I upgraded my iPhone 4 last evening to iOS 6, the upgrade completed and the device was usable. Then in the morning I went to the device to check E-mail, Voice Messages, Test Messages, etc... and the phone was dead. I tried plugging the device into a charger (for a couple of hours) - still dead. Plugged into computer with iTunes, device not recognized or discovered, and iPhone was still dead... Took the iPhone into an Apple Store and the Technician looked it over for any visible signs of defect/malfunction, then performed various tasks to breathe life into the phone - nothing... His suggestion, at this point, was to replace the phone. He speculated that the iOS upgrade possibly corrupted the iPhone's charging firmware, and that this device was now a BRICK. Keep in mind that the phone and it's charging abilities were perfectly fine prior to the iOS Upgrade. I hate to go through the replacement hassle and the cost ($159.00) when the iOS upgrade caused the problem. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Ainsi, quand je travaille sur un document, je ne suis pas ralenti par Autosave.

So what's the symptom you're seeing? Can you go to Settings > General > Bluetooth and turn bluetooth on?

I have both the iPhone (16Gb 4S) and an iPad (128Gb Retunia display).
My home PC recently failed and I was unable to restore and through some bad luck my backups were rained on and corrupted (I have tried all sorts ot tricks to get it back but no luck and have now moved on to rebulding and regathering the data and applications).
Bottom line is that I have replaced the pld machen wioth a newer model and more RAM, etc.
My problem is that I do not appear to be able typo restore my playlists from my iPad and iPhone to the PC!
Every way I have tried wants to overwrite my iPhone or iPad with what is on the PC!
How can I get the music on my iPad/iPhone to the PC?
I have most of the music tracks (in various places) still but do not want to go through the 6000 tracks IU have to pick out my playlists all over again. That was the work of a few years!
Second item:
I have a few ibooks and am unsure ghopw to get the onto my iPad? ANy hints or help will be appreciated.

karleWhen you re-install iTunes..make sure you use the same account name and password...then go to 'store' then click on 'view account', sign in, scroll down to see purchase history, click to see all, click on the song list, then select 'all' or 'not in my library' and a download button should show up at the bottom of the right side of that window and hopefully it will start downloading. That is what I just had to do with my son's laptop when his hard drive died. Had a terrible time figuring it out too so I thought I would post and help others out.
You can try plugging in your phone btw and see if that works..I have read you can then select 'restore songs', though on my iTunes I haven't seen anything that says restore songs on it...so I don't know how reliable that information is. Maybe it shows up only after the device has been plugged it. Good luck!
