I keep getting this message :"iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPod"
Hello, this is the 4th or 5th time I've received this message in a week. I did what the it told me to do and that is to restore the iPod since it gives me no other option. All the music is erased from the iPod when disconnected, however it all appears on other media players/Windows 7 when connected but to iTunes the data appears to be corrupt. I was wondering if anyone could help me. All was well until last week.
I'm having the exact same problem... I restore my iPod then put new songs on it... then the next day I plug my iPod in again and it tells me to restore it again!
Can somebody help? Thank you!

I sync all songs, photos and videos between my computer and iPod classic with no problems, but when I get to sync info I get this message: "iTunes cannot sync Calendar and contacts to iPod. Try logging out of Windows adn then logging back in". Could you please help?
Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.
As IO said before:
You can redownload most iTunes pruchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
I do not think it included audio books. -
I can't seem to sync my iPhone to my computer; I keep getting this message: "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone because an error occurred while reading from this device." I get the same message with my iPad, even though they all share the same account. What can I do?
This could be caused by a USB connection issue. Make sure the iPhone is directly connected to the Mac using the USB cable it came with. Also, try disconnecting all other USB devices.
If you haven't already try resetting the iPhone by holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see an Apple logo as described here:http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305743 -
After I downloaded iOS7 and my iPhone turned off I keep getting this message "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes." I dont wanna lose some stuff from my iPhone.
During a normal install of iOS 7.0.6 this does not happen but something clearly went wrong in your installation.
To fix this, connect to iTunes and restore to Factory. Hopefully your iPad will be working again and you can restore your iCloud backup during Setup. -
What can I do to update iphoto app I keep getting this message:
'You cannot update this software since you have not owned the major version of this software?.Going from iPhoto v 8.x.x to V 9.x.x is called an upgrade and requires the purchase of iPhoto 9.
To go from v 8.1 to v 8.1.2 is an update and is free.

Just updated itunes to (10.22.14) and itunes won't open. I get message: Itunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing. Please reinstall itunes. Is there any other way to troubleshoot this other than reinstalling itunes?
With that one in that context, I think we should check for malware.
Try downloading and installing the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware. Update your MBAM definitions and then run a full scan of the PC. (Takes about 2 hour on my Lenovo.)

Does the scan find any infections? If so, please paste the contents of the log file for the scan in a reply here so we can have a look. -

I get this message -can't read ore write to the unit- when trying to sync any of my ios
When I try to sync my units (iPhone 5, iPad 2, iPod Classic) I get a message that it can't be syncronized because it's not possible to either read from or write to the unit. Problems started about 6 weeks ago, maybe after the latest update of iTunes. before that everything worked fine. I have restored, started up as new unit and so on, but no luck.
This Apple doc is a good place to start -> 'Disk cannot be read from or written to' when syncing iPod or 'Firmware update failure' error when updating or restoring iPod
If you have a USB hub, try removing it and connecting the iPhone, iPad or iPod to the back of your Mac. -
I have deleted the program and re installed numours times, also ran a full essential scan, spybot and malware byte scans with no results. Any ideas?
Nobody has had or has this problem? I have gone back and forth with itunes "help" people for 2 weeks with no "help" at all. I guess I am going to have to buy a non apple devise and shop @ amazon for my music.

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? (For example, 8007000B.) -
