I keep track of family totals for fundraising at a school, I want a family name and totals for each fundraiser and then at the end of the year I would like an alphabetized list.  Can I do this in numbers?

in numbers, how would I make a line for each family (100+)  a column for each fundraiser. and at mid year, and year end be able to print an alphabetical listing?
example:     entertainment books          Chip Shoppe       Yankee Candle
Smith          $350                                   $245                    $100
Total at the end of the line, but I could live without.  I am just trying to lose the paperwork, and have it in the ipad for when parents approach me at meetings.

Using Numbers '09 (the Mac version), I'd use a table with one header row and two header columns.
Family     Total     Ent.Books     Chip S.     Y. Candle
Smith, J      $695        350            245             100
Jones, T      $765        250            445               70
An ascending sort on column A will put the families in alphabetical order (and carry the rest of the row along with them).
The formula =SUM(2) in B2, and filled down from there, keeps the total for each family right beside the family name.
You could add a Footer row at the bottom to keep totals for each column. Formula for column B: =SUM(B)
I would leave the currency signs ($) off the amounts—they just clutter up the table.
This assumes that the features listed are all supported on Numbers for iOS, the version running on your iPad.

    The add-ons would have been disabled if they are not compatible with Firefox 4. You need to check with AVG to see if they have an update to make their add-ons compatible.

  • I can not save a bookmark to a subfolder any longer. when I select "Bookmark this page" the subwindow for where to save the link does not open. It just saves all bookmarks to the end of the bookmark listing.

    The bookmarks toolbar will not open the folders. It just saves the current page at the end of the the bookmarks list.

    Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • Can I do this with Numbers

    I am new to Numbers and I am trying to start off a personal finance spreadsheet. Most of my outgoings are in the form of monthly direct debits (recurring sometimes variable payments). Up to now I have done this with column 1 is a list of titles. Insurance, TV licence etc. The next column is the amount. Then I have created a third column. When I log into the bank I look at whats been paid out and manually move the amount from column 2 to column 3. The sum of column 2 tells me the amount left to go out this month and sum column 2 plus sum column 3 tells me my total regular out goings. The idea is that I can see how much is left to go out and work out how much I have left in the account till next payday. Is there a way to get around manually moving the amount from column 2 to column 3. Ideally would be a tick box that when ticked removes that amount from the sum of the column. Then be able to untick the whole column at the end of the month. I am probably going about the whole thing the wrong way so any tips pointers or suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

  • Save as window size keeps going back to the default size. I need it to stay the size I set it at so I can read the end of the file name.

    .When I save a file in Photoshop, I save for web and devices. It gives you the first window which I always just hit enter. Then it gives you a second window to name the file and where to put it. The problem I’m having is that’s it’s not remembering I want the window bigger and I can’t see the whole name of the file. I need to see the end of the file name so I know what to save the next file as. I can scroll or make the window bigger again but that is too time consuming when I’m trying to do hundreds of them a day.
    I'm using Photoshop CS4 on a Mac running Yosemite.

    When you look at your iPhone, are you looking in the Music app or in the iTunes app?  Be sure you are looking in the Music app, and look in the Songs category.  If your songs are not here, you may want to try syncing your information again through iTunes.  To do this, uncheck "Sync Music" and then click apply or sync in the bottom right corner of iTunes, and then recheck "Sync Music" and then click apply or sync again.

    Go to Settings/ Messaging/ Send & Receive on each device to set the contact points to be reached at, and to set the "from" address when you start a new message.  It sounds like your iPhone might be sending messages out as one thing (e.g. an iCloud address) but set to not receive replies only to your phone number.  Make sure you review settings on each device since you may, or may not, want to have them common.
