I kind of stuck myself in a stuation... Help? (iMac G3 tray)
So, I was being stupid and I put this really large photo as my background, not thinking about the little memory the iMac has... And now everytime I start up it freezes. Now, I know that you can bring them in to be repaired but the photo is well, a bit embarising. (It's a photo of me being silly with some friends on a grad trip but none the less) So I was wondering if there is anything I can do at home to fix this?
Also, do the iMacs have wi-fi?
If you have the OS installer disk, open the tray-loading optical drive, place the CD in it and close it, hold down the "C" key, and then power ON the iMac. It should boot from the installer disk, so you may have to cancel/close any installation prompts/windows that appear. On the desktop, you'll see the installer disk's icon and the hard drive's icon. Double-click on the hard drive's icon and navigate to the System Folder -> Preferences Folder. Delete the "Desktop Pictures Prefs" file and then restart the iMac, removing the OS installer disk as soon as the computer begins the restart. The iMac should revert to the default desktop picture, when it can't find your preference file. The photo file itself can remain on the computer and won't cause additional problems. The tray-loading iMacs do not have built-in Wi-Fi capability, as did the slot-loading iMac models that shipped with an internal AirPort card. You can use a wireless ethernet transceiver, to which you connect an ethernet cable connected to your iMac.

By "sos mode" do you mean recovery mode? If so, you have to connect it to iTunes and restore it.

Guys, I need your help.
I have created a Bootcamp partition and wanted to install windows. I guess the disk is corrupted so when the computer restarted I got stuck with a black window, the iMac will not boot from the DVD. The problem is that I cannot switch back to my Leopard partition and the DVD is stuck into the superdrive (I cannot eject it). If I restart the computer it eventually goes to the same black screen. What can I do? I have a Logitech keyboard so the "Option" button is not recognized at startup to switch to Leopard. Any idea?

My iPad cannot sync with iMac since it seems stuck in a loop on the iMac's iTunes.
FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary. -

Time Machine is (kind of) stuck...
Time Machine has been working more or less flawlessly for me up until a few days ago.
I have my Time Machine backup on an external USB drive and I am running my Mac on a Standard account. Now, every time it is backing up, it is stuck at a certain percentage for hours and hours without continuing to back up. For example, it it stuck now at "5.8 MB of 258.2 MB", and the Time Machine menu bar icon is spinning but nothing is happening. I waited for at least 10 hours...
Interestingly, Time Machine does not seem to be completely out of whack since I can stop the backup without problems. I click "Stop backing up" and it does so without problems. Also, I can access old backups easily.
Even more peculiar, I find, is the fact that Time Machine works without problems when I log into my Admin account.
I tried repairing permissions and to 'reset' time machine by deleting the plist file, but none of those worked.
Any ideas why that could be and what to do to fix it?
Thanks!Well, it is fixed now. Somehow, this problem had to do with Spotlight. For a different reason, I had to reset Spotlight by adding my internal hard drive as well as the USB drives attached to my Mac (including the one with the Time Machine backups) to the excluded list in the Spotlight Privacy Systems Preferences pane, and immediately removing them again. This forces the Mac to reindex for Spotlight. As soon as I did this, Time Machine finished the stuck backup happily and it works now without problems.

Creating code and I am stuck was looking for some help on what kind code..

This is a project for school and I have been searching everywhere for what to do. The assignment is to write a program that will randomly generate numbers for a Super 7 lottery. Each ticket is to display 3 sets of 7 numbers. The example we are given looks exactly like so

Anyway the part I am stuck on is getting my array to display ascending order (small to big)
I keep getting duplicate numbers and ive tried so many different parts of code to try and get no duplicate numbers
also I can't the output to look like it does above. If I print a new line it always seems to do this:

whereas I need it like the example I posted first.

USER I/O Wait (Please help kind of stuck here from long time)
I have a delete statement running from more than 24 hrs now and the session info says its waiting on user I/O. There are no blocking sessions and its doing a full table scan of a table having around 500000 records. I dont understand what exactly its waiting on and how to check that and why it taking more than 24 hrs to FTS of 1 table? Here are some of the statistics:

Actually Reega had a good point, not sure why he didn't go down the route.
You may want to find out what's that table/index your session is waiting from the value, something like
select owner||'.'||segment_name, segment_type
from dba_extents
where file_id=4 and (block_id between 116937 and 116937+66)This might be a long run query if you have many objects.
Actually the better view to query is v$session_wait instead of v$session.

Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
