does the nano have an FM tuner? Or do you need to be in a wifi area to recieve FM radio stations?

The current model of iPod nano does have an FM radio tuner. See the tech specs on this page.

  • Does the nano have a reminder feature?

if not, would it be plausible to expect an update that syncs reminders or calandars with your phone? that would be amazing.
    also, siri

The closest thing to a reminder is probably the timer.  If you have a suggestion, I would use this link as Apple does not monitor these forums.

I know it is stupid, but what is the word processing program installed on the ibook g4?

Hi, Wayne. Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
Is AppleWorks installed? It's what I use, and came on many iBook models.
TextEdit Is a rudimentary word processor, and is included with Mac OS X.

  • If my ipad has a dint in it but it still worked for 7 months after that moment and know it just stoped working does the year warranty still apply

If my ipad has a dint in it but it still worked for 7 months after that moment and know it just stoped working does the year warranty still apply.

No. iPads that have any type of denting or physical damage (old or new) are not covered under the warranty. Apple would have no way of determining when the damage was done or if that damage caused your present issue.
I believe that once they see physical damage, their reasoning for voiding the warranty would be that visible, physical damage, irregardless of when it ocurred.

You will have to sign in to your iTunes account.
It worked fine here.  If that doesn't work for you, let us know what went wrong.

  • RE: 2211x monitor. Removed clear film around edge but does the long sticker at the top come off?

RE: 2211x monitor.  I have removed the clear film around edge of the black monitor but does the long sticker advertising features at the top come off? I don't want to try and realizes it is well and truly glued on.
    This question was solved.

It should come off, and if you are scared you can use goof off if it leaves pieces behind, or just rub your thumb or finger over it until it becomes hot then pieces should come off.
Please give Kudos. What other kind of recognition could I get?

  • Extract assets doesn't extract the 0.5x or 0.25x files but does the 2x and 3x, why?

    Dear Photoshop Community,
I'm trying to extract assets but this doesn't extract the 0.5x or 0.25x files but does the 2x and 3x, why?
I get the original file, and 2 folders, one named scaled-at-200 and one named scaled-at-300.
I am using Photoshop CC 2014 on windows 7 and i don't get any other extracted assets.
However using Photoshop CC 2014 on my windows 8.1 machine i get all the assets and two additional folders scaled-at-50 and scaled-at-25.
Why is this? Is there a fix for this issue?
    Thanks,
    Craig Williams.

    Hi Ganesh,
    Thank you for your reply.
However I don't think the problem I got is related to the boldFont object. I actually want all the column hearders to be bold so I did the following codings and it works:
    Font headerFont = table.getTableHeader().getFont();
    Font boldFont = new Font(headerFont.getFontName(), Font.BOLD, headerFont.getSize());
    table.getTableHeader().setFont(boldHeaderFont);
It is actually working - it changes all the headers (except for the column0 which has its own hearderRenderer) to be bold. So I think the object boldFont itself is ok.
My problem is that when I set the boldFont to the myHeaderRenderer for colomn 0, I just can't that that column header to be bold. I guess the problem is related to the header renderer.

  • How much info about the cache-cluster does the client have and What would you recommend about putting the cluster behind virtual ip

    Hi,
I will appreciate if someone can point me to some documentation as to how app-fabric client library accesses the app-fabric cluster.
What I have found so far is that the list of hosts provided in the client configuration are used as an entry point into the Cache-Cluster. By connecting to one of hosts, the client will download information about all the hosts constituting the cluster.
Since a named cache is distributed across the entire cluster, and the data can be stored on any node. How does the client decide which node it should connect to, to get the data from. Does the client have enough information to know which host has the data
or the client will connect to one of the nodes, if the node has data, it will serve it otherwise redirect the client to the node that has the data.
I also would like to know what do you say about the idea that we would like to put our cache-cluster behind a virtual ip, so that if needed, we can take down nodes or add more nodes. In fact the virtual ip will that of a load balancer, but we don't plan to
use it for load balancing purposes but the idea is that the client will have the virtual ip address and we can repoint this IP address, if we need to take out a node for maintenance reason.

I'm not sure about the reason for putting the cache servers in a VIP, but one of the reasons why the cache servers should be made known to the servers is because of auto load balancing and throughput
Imagine i have 10 cache servers running on 1G ethernet links, theoretically i have 10G usable bandwidth and the clients will be able to manage and load balance if any of the cache server fails or have performance issues
Now if all these were parked behind a VIP
    1. The LB now does the load balancing, which may not be optimal
    2. The LB may not have 10G upstream and 10G downstream, even if it has, this is quite a waste of resource\

  • Does the 4s have the same excessive data issues as the 5?

I've been waiting to get the iPhone 5 but I don't want to deal with the issue of the excessive data issues that the iPhone 5 has.It would be my first iPhone, so I would consider settling for the 4s. Does the 4s have same problem as the 5, or should I stay clear of that as well to avoid the headache of the data issue?

Brico. The iPhone 4S doesn't seem to have any issues with being charged data when using wi-fi. However, I would like to tell you that when you're using some apps, you may lose wi-fi and then your data package would kick in. I've noticed this from time to time with hotel internet. I've never gone over my limit and I'm on my phone using apps or the net most of the day. Most of the time I have wi-fi access, but there's plenty of time where I don't so just by keeping a rough record in my head, if I was getting cut off of wi-fi or being charged for it, I'd know by now.

  • Does the AEBS have or need a firewall?

I know if you hook your mac directly to a cable modem, you can turn on the mac's firewall and initiate stealth settings, etc. Does the AEBS have such a thing? come someone actually see your AEBS? I have it password protected and all. Just wondered if it had a function that acted as a firewall.

NAT or Network AddressTranslation hides the Internet Protocol address of each computer behind the router while still allowing these machines to send and receive data from the Internet. NAT is integral to safe computing, but it's not a firewall
Many wireless routers now offer a hardwall firewall in the form of Stateful Packet Inspection Firewall (SPI). SPI monitors both incoming and outgoing packets and will block either that are not in response to a specific request.
In my opinion NAT provides a level of security, but it is not a replacement for a firewall for users who have sensitive data on their network.

Great hearing for you all! I thought I was all alone this past weekend. I did learn a lot this weekend. I really like the InDesign product.(half-the-battle) But to be helped by the prestigious “Sandee Cohen” was an honor indeed.”  I ordered the InDesign CC today.  Peter, I appreciate all the feedback on Lynda too. They are loaded with lots of good videos. Derek too honed in on one of the most important aspects!  Since I have been working with Word for most of the first portion of the book this will be a big help. I looked at the comments big help ! Thanks a ton ALL!  Have a wonder day or evening whenever you read this reply.

  • Does the MBA have an optical audio out (toslink)?

Does the MBA have an optical audio out (toslink)?

The MacBook Pro and iMacs have digital audio out routed through the headphone jack.  A physical converter (costing a few cents) must be used to connect a regular TOSLINK cable.
The MacBook Air apparently does not have this feature.
As to true Thunderbolt 'adaptors' I have yet to see any hit the market.  I would suggest not holding your breath while waiting for useful Thunderbolt technology to appear--one day perhaps, but not now. I would love to be proven wrong about this--I could really use the Thunderbolt<->FW800 adapter

  • I AM STRUGGLINT TO ACCESS MY IPHOTO'S AND HAVE TO GO THROUGH APPLICATIONS TO ACCESS MY PHOTOS. HOW CAN I CORRECT THIS PLEASE. DOES THE MAC HAVE A DEFRAG?  TX

I am having problems viewing my iPhoto from the dock and have to go through my applications to view. What do I have to do to correct this please? Also does the Mac have a defrag function? I have also been advised by the sales person that the Mac does not need an antivirus programme, is this true?

I'm sorry but your post make no sense
first off All Caps is not necessary and makes things hard to read and is consider shouting - it is rude
Second you do not have "an iPhoto" - iPhoto is an application that manages photos - the photos are stored (by default) in the iPhoto library in a SQL lite database and you use the iPhoto program to manage them
I am having problems viewing my iPhoto from the dock and have to go through my applications to view.
can you please explain this in some detail. When you launch iPhoto by clicking on the iPhoto icon in the Dock what happens?
As to your other OS questions this is certainly not hte best place to address them - we are iPhoto users just like yourself here  ---  basically as I understand it (and I have had had Macs for 30+ years) there is no "defrag and you do not need one - and antivirus is your choice - most people feel it is a waste of money on a Mac but some like to have it
