I know password of apple id but cant find icloud

i can find my apple id password. But i cant reach my icloud password. They are different. I cant use anything on my new phone without icloud password. Apple id is not usefull for me right now. Anyone can help me?

Thanks for the question. Based on what you stated, it seems like you need to change your iCloud password. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.

Many thanks for your help on this. The instructions provided with the tv box were typically difficult to follow perhaps because Apple try to cover all languages etc. I also found the control on my iPad that pulls from the bottom of the screen and allows the iPad to control the tv. I am trying to transfer my itunes songs that were purchased using a previous apple id and windows pc ( I now have a macbook pro). When I try and download the itunes files, a message appears telling me that 7 songs purchased under the old apple id cannot be added to itunes on my macbook( the rest are added ok). I know the previous apple id, but have forgotten the password. When I try and retrieve the password using the security questions, I am asked for my birthdate. When I enter my birthdate, I am told this information is incorrect! Thats as far as i can go!
How can I update my apple id( and remove any old ones) if I can't retrieve the old password?

Could take anything up to 48 hours. I know it's a nuisance but they do try and are very busy. If you hear nothing 24 hours from now, send a reminder.

Stupid icloud sign in box says my id is a valid apple id but not an icloud id! after changing my password it still won't let me sign in, why?

I finally got tired of updating iTunes and saying no to iCloud. Stupid me apparently. Now I'm Faced with a sign in box for iCloud that says my id is a valid Apple id but NOT an iCloud id. Everything I look at says that the id should work for both. Well, it's not for me and I am regretting having installed iCloud. If I can't sign in, or find out how to, I am going to remove iCloud and will never have anything to do with it again as it will be an obviously unusable program. Anyone know how to fix the stupid thing?
OK. I finally got a new screen that says I have to use my apple id to set up iCloud on a device..I don't have any devices..only my PC, unless a Kindle counts. Can anyone help here, please?

If you do not have an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, then you don't need iCloud.
It is a service that keeps these devices and your computer synchronized.

iCloud keeps mail, contacts, and calendars up to date between your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, and Windows PC, and lets you share calendars and task lists.
So, you can uninstall it from the Control Panel in Windows.

I've tried both. First, I tried on my pc, where iTunes had installed iCloud when it last updated. I have iTunes installed on this computer (and on my iPad and iPhone), but that wasn't the issue.
So I went online, thinking I needed a separate iCloud Apple ID, but it prompted me for my current Apple ID and gave me the message about my ID being "valid" but not an iCloud account," which, lol, was what it had asked me to do in order to create one. It sounds like you need to recover some missing files but do not have access to the iWork '09 disc you used to install it. If you have a Time Machine backup and know what files you need, you can use the "Restoring specific files or folders" section of the following article to restore them:
Mac Basics: Time Machine backs up your Mac
If you do not have Time Machine, you will need the disc to reinstall the software suite.

I backup to an external hdd with Time Machine, when it ran out of space it did not delete old backups, now my internal hdd says its full when before it had heaps of space. I have searched for extra files but cant find any. Can anyone help, please.

First, empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. Then reboot. That will temporarily free up some space.
To locate large files, you can use Spotlight as described here. That method may not find large folders that contain a lot of small files.
You can also use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) to explore your volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one.
Proceed further only if the problem hasn't been solved.
ODS can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
Back up all data now.
Install ODS in the Applications folder as usual.
Triple-click the line of text below to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):sudo /Applications/OmniDiskSweeper.app/Contents/MacOS/OmniDiskSweeper
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything while running ODS as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means.
When you're done with ODS, quit it and also quit Terminal.

If you create an Apple ID for your daughter, signing out of the existing Apple ID with the iTunes & App Store on her iPhone will not change anything on your iPhone.
All apps include DRM protection which is tied to the Apple ID that was used to download the apps.
If she starts using her Apple ID to download apps, when there is an app update for an app on her iPhone that was downloaded with the current shared Apple ID, she will need to use that Apple ID and password to download the app updates.
