I know this has been posted a few times but, High Pitch noises!!!!!!!!!

I keep getting wierd high pitch noises from the MOBO, I have tried to push in the MSI plate on the NB but it didn't stop the noise. But what I have found out stops it is kind of wierd.
If I go into any Windows Explorer window and right click on certain icons, (i.e. C: Hard Drive, the nVidia Ethernet Adapter, or my DVD-RW) the noise stops suddenly, but if I click off of the right click menu the noise starts back up again. I don't get it? Also if I use my mouse wheel and scrol up and down rapidly, the sound stops while I am scrolling, but once I stop it comes back.
I know that this has been posted a few times, but I still haven't found any way to stop the noise other than the ways above. So if anyone has/had the same problem and knows how to fix it, I would really appreciate it if you would share.
EDIT: I have also tried to return my CPU to stock speeds but there is still a noise.

Im sure this noise, is the copper coils around the components near the cpu socket.. its a known problem on MSI boards, where they start to resernate / vibrate.
I've seen two solutions, neither have i tried, as I don't have the problem, but they are pretty harmless.
one is to apply a small amount of superglue over the copper coils, allow to set and switch back on,, or a safer way (in my opinion) is to use some wax (or electical sealing wax).

In a flurry of activity my GF deleted my isync while we are on holiday,
I am a bit stuck I know there is a way to get Isync to work using pacifist and the install DVD. However my phone is pretty trashed and looking like it is gonna pack up any day, I should have sorted it before we left but now im a 1000 miles away and need to get Isync back ? is there anywhere i can download it? even an old pack?

iSync is not downloadable separately for Mac OS X 10.4 and later.
If you download the latest Mac OS X 10.4.11 Combo Updater from Apple (the huge one), you might be able to extract and install the latest iSync from that using Pacifist.
This is not guaranteed to work, because OS X Updates don't always include all files needed to completely restore an application, but you may be lucky as iSync was updated from v2.0 to v2.4 during the 10.4 to 10.4.11 updates.

well today my ipod became frozen with the "Do not disconnect" screen. i toggled the hold switch, held down the menu and play button, and did everything the support said. but theres no response. Is there any other tips besides letting the battery drain or taking it to some ipod place or something.

You are not resetting the iPod correctly.
To reset the iPod, hold down Menu+Select for 6-10 seconds (assuming you have an iPod nano/iPod with click wheel).

I know this has been asked a million times but I just don't understand?

I have photoshop elements 7 and Nikon D300. When I take pictures with my camera the color is fine in the live view screen. When I download them to Nikon and to "My Pictures" and look at them the color is fine. When I email them the color is fine. As soon as I put them in Photoshop Elements 7 they are a few shades lighter. It is not the monitor because the color is the way it is suppose to be when the photo is in any other program. I don't want to print them off my printer, I just find it hard to edit the photo in any way when it is so much lighter than it is if I just look at it in my picture files. How can i adjust just the way the photos look on element so they will match my email, my picture file and my camera?

Two possibilities that could explain your symptoms:
1. You have your camera set to use the Adobe RGB color space, and you're viewing the photos in the Organizer. There is a known bug where the Organizer incorrectly shows the colors of such photos. You can quickly test whether this is your problem by opening a problem photo in the full Editor -- if the colors look different than in the Organizer, then you're encountering this bug. A workaround is to set your camera to use the sRGB color space.
2. You have a color profile associated with your display in Windows that was probably installed by software provided by your display's manufacturer. PSE uses such profiles to more accurrately display colors. But the built-in profiles provided by manufacturers may not be very accurate. If you're satisfied with the colors of your photos when viewed outside of PSE, then disassocate the profile from the display:

Hey folks! I understand that this question has been posted many times to the community, and while it is not my intent to waste anyones time (Tom Wolsky), I have not found a solution that works. Can anyone help me? I will monitor this feed to respond back as soon as possible if you have any questions.
Here is my system:
OS 10.9.4
Late 2013 iMac 3.1 GHz I7
16gb ram
317 GB free space on 1TB hard drive
Final Cut version 10.1.2
Compressor Version 4.1.2
Here is what I have tried (all have failed with Render Error: -50)
Turn off Background Rendering, Delete Render Files, etc.
Copying media to new project, event, library, re-export
Tried Multiple Presets in both FCPX and Compressor
Turned off app nap on both FCPX and Compressor
I am at a loss here guys and gals. I have seen some posts explaining that it may be a corrupt clip that needs to be removed. Is exporting individual clips to find the culprit my best option?

Any manual-converted .mts clips involved in your Project?
You could use FCPX' feature to export just parts/ranges of a Project to narrow down the culprit (export a half, ok? export a half of the oither half, ok? export...)

I'd like to go back to a specific date in my messages? I know this has been asked billions of times.

(Specifically April 30 of 2013) but I text a lot so pressing "load earlier messages" isn't an option. Is there anyway I could load the messages on my computer, or is there an app that I could use to search by date? I could get them off my iphone or ipad.

The iPhone (iOS Device) and the Mac will only Sync from the day that both start using the same App ID or OS X 10.8.2 whichever is the earlier.
The "Sync" as Apple calls it was different before this time.
The "Sync" is only "Display on all Devices" and does not involve anything else (if you delete a message on one device it remains on the other)
The iMessages are "pushed" at the devices that have the Apple ID or iPhone number and when the iMessages has been sent that is it.
It will not re-sync if you remove the iMessage.
I really don't use iMessages on my iPhone enough to even try "Load earlier Messages".
If you have synced (Backup) the iPhone onto the Mac using iTunes it is apparently possible to extract the messages from the Backup.
However I don't sync this way and don't know the names of the apps involved.

Yes, forget the iWeb navbar and make your own navigation menu using ordinary hyperlinks. (There's no way to make the navbar items different from the page names without post-publication modification).

I know this has been posted before....red light

i have looked around the forum but i can't find any solution to this problem, i have the red light shining out of my headphone socket - i also have no audio coming out of my speakers and when i press the mute button the speaker icon comes up but with no bars beneath it. When i plug my headphones in i then get audio, but as reccomended in other posts putting headphones does not permenantly solve the problem. In other posts there was something about adjusting preferences in the control panel (where's the control panel)
the red light looks cool but i would much rather audio, thanks

first.... plug the headphones in, then wiggle the jack a little and that should give you audio back.....
second.... sys prefs are 4th down from the apple logo (top left of your screen)...
third..... take your comp to an apple store or call applecare to get your hw repaired..

Burning issues and yes i know this has been posted up before

Ok , just like some indicated before that my itunes use to burned perfectly on maximum speed , so after a while i had a few problem in burning it would start burning then 10-20 sec it would say disk error or something like that and i would lose the recordable cd i inserted . So i went to 4x to see if maybe that would fix it but , the same dam thing happens and happens over and over making me lose recordable cd's again! without warning ! Can i some how fix this by cleaning maybe the lens with a cd lens cleaner or will that mess up my lense on my mac osx? How can i fix this problem ? thanks

I would suggest first having a look at How do I clean my CD recorder? I would have to say that you should never have to clean a CD or DVD drive, and if you really really really can't resist, try using some canned air using extreme care.
If you don't already have canned air, and don't have any other optical drive "snake oil" remedies, then I would say the likelihood of effecting a sound repair based on investment in such would not be in your favor.

Ok, i know this has been up a 1000 times b4, but what is the BEST converter

Pls give me all thoughts and experience about different video converters for the iPod, i myself have tried; psp studio 9, rohan's vipoder and the 3gp converter. I thought rohan's gave the best picture quality. I also wonder if there is a converter that doesn't remove the subtitles which I merged on the avi file with the submux program, all three converters i have tried does that.

What is "Best" for one may not be "Best" for you. Subtitles will never display properly at an IPODs resolution. You'd need a magnifier to read them anyway. This unit is not meant to be a portable DVR, like an Archos unit. I have 2 software programs to convert videos for the IPOD. Both are totally automated and do not require advanced video editing knowledge (which mst people do not have). Video for the IPOD (Google for Diversified Multimedia). You will see the many fine products they have produced over the years and do not rip-off another GUI and put their Name and Face on it. Currently there are 3 programs sold under different names that all use the same source code, but produce at times different results. I guess everyone is trying to make a buck off IPOD video user. I would not recommend VIDEORA as there are simply too many internal issues with that "Freeware" GUI. Users results seem to support this. It works 40% of the time like it should.

RE:idvd I know this has come up a gazillion times but...

I'm running OS X 10.7.5 Lion. I bought a new ilfe08, installed idvd and updated it. The themes just wont load, instead I'm stuck with the eternal blue swirl. Can't find some of the stuff other posts say is in various libraries. I don't want to mess things up - just want my idvd! Help!

Try this basic troubleshooting fix :
1 - delete the IDVD preference file, com.apple.iDVD.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete IDVD'S cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iDVD folder.
3 - launch IDVD and try again.
NOTE: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

So, I know this has been asked before. But, has anyone heard from Apple?

So, I know this has been asked before, but I'm just looking to see if anyone had heard from Apple on this at all. The minimum volume on my iPod Classic 160gb is too high, and I can't lower it. (AKA when I kill the volume, I can still hear music).
I called them today, but the rep was pretty useless. He even dropped the "well, just press pause" line on me. Took him a while to understand that when I'm in bed or studying, etc. the minimum volume is too loud, and I wanted to be able to set it lower.
The best workaround I've found so far is to buy headphones with their own volume control, but I just can't help but feel that someone shouldn't have to by additonal gear after buying this thing on account of such a basic feature exclusion.

I've heard all of what you spit up before. And for your point of "Well, in several cases, people have complained (here in these discussion pages), that they expect the volume to be zero when turned to minimum position" that kind of ties in to why Apple should fix this.
And yeah....it's pretty much a given that "you and I have different interpretations of what constitues too loud" This is where the option to adjust the minimum volume comes in to play. (I relly feel bad for you. Honestly. Having to live everyday of your life this way must be just brutal)
The wording would be pretty simple too. " Be aware there are many instances of the minimum volume being too loud, so think twice before dropping a few hundred bucks on this"
And, you're right. It is horrible to 'whine' about being ripped off and asking if there is a possible fix for the issue. I really do apologize for that. I should just suck it up and not voice my opinion that this is not fair to consumers, and Apple shouldn't fix a known issue with a product.

I know this has been asked before But I Deleted 10 mths worth of Bookmark folders, Cant use Undo & havent backed up (live & learn) Someone posted do a restore from "Import & Backup" My listing in Restore is only 2010-6-29 back to 2010-6-22. Is this the way to go to retrieve as much as possible or is there another solution?

Those dates are when a backup was automatically made by Firefox, not dates when you saved specific bookmarks. Try restoring the backup from the day before you deleted all those bookmarks. It will restore the entire backup file - not just what you deleted, you will lose any bookmarks that you saved after the date of the file you restore.

Sorry, I know this has been covered, but it has a ton of things I can not use....or understand.
I am on a mac. I have some movie previews that are in a .mov format. I had uderstood I need to convert them into .mp4 format....I did this in Quicktime....and exprteded them a few different ways....but every time I go to play them they break up and get all pixialated!
I have a 16g card, and I am putting them in the Videos folder on the chip through usb reader.....what am I doing wrong?!

It was magical. I did something to my router, I'm not sure what, and iChat now connects to Windows machines with audio/video. I think the problem is very specific to what type of router you have.
