i know there have been dozens of posts about the loss of ones input device to import video after the upgrades of OSX and the the upgrades of FCP... i also rmember a site tha has all these questions answered... where is the sight.. or who do i chat with about getting my DV deck to get recognized by FCP at startup..

It's a sweet little app for deleting, saving and restoring your preferences.
I am guessing that in the upgrade your prefs got tweaked or QT did some finkydinky, there was an old post that referenced FCE, but that may help you...
The workaround is to download Quicktime manually, after removing the "receipts" which indicate that it is loaded. Specifically, I was told to do the following:
1. Navigate to Library -> Receipts on your main drive (not from your personal folder).
2. Remove all files of the form QuickTime*.pkg, where "*" is a version number. E.g. QuickTime600.pkg, QuickTime650.pkg, Quicktime700.pkg and QuickTime701.pkg. This simply tells your system that those packages are not installed.
3. Go to http://www.apple.com/quicktime/downloads and click on the "download Quicktime" link. DO NOT USE THE AUTOMATIC UPDATE UTILITY. Download QuickTimeInstallerX.dmg. Double click this file (probably on your desktop) and then invoke the installer by double clicking QuickTime701.pkg.
4. After your computer reboots, you should be able to restart FCE and see your camera.

Many years ago, I had a copy of fireworks and dreamweaver. It seemed like I only worked with fireworks and created websites, links etc. Do you have to have both and somehow they work in tandem?
My suggestion would be to forget about Fireworks, because the application's development was stopped in May 2013, and no updates are coming its way either. It is dead software, unfortunately. It is already experiencing compatibility problems on the latest Mac OS, for example, and it is only going to get worse.
To create a simple website, you have two choices: you either learn basic html and css code (as Mylenium suggested), or you use a visual editor.

Not true. You get one and only one download.
In some instances, itunes has allowed another download to a few. This is not the norm.
You can try contacting itunes support and asking for an exception, but they are under no obligation to allow.

I have bought the album called "Disc-Overy" from Tinie Tempah. I did reset my iPhone and set it up as a new iPhone. I also synced with another iTunes library. Now iTunes ask me to pay for the album again! I aldo bought the ringtone called "Levels" of Avicii and I have to pay for that one more time too!
And when it comes to app. I downloaded iCopter from appstore. I bought the pro version in-app and when i try to do the same again with this newly setup iPhone I also have to pay for this one more time! Please help me!I've had the same problem with the albums when switching iPhones.
Usually when you click purchase in the app- or itunes store it will start the download but will then give you the message: "You've already bought this item, do you want to download it again?". In that case you won't be charged twice, but in my expirience that won't show up untill you're willing to make the purchase.
Best thing would be to just sync the new iPhone with iTunes if that already contains your purchased apps, books and music. -

There are two separate PDF Expert versions on App Store: PDF Expert for iPad and PDF Expert for iPhone. PDF Expert for iPad differs from iPhone version and both versions are not free.

I know this has been posted a few times but, High Pitch noises!!!!!!!!!
I keep getting wierd high pitch noises from the MOBO, I have tried to push in the MSI plate on the NB but it didn't stop the noise. But what I have found out stops it is kind of wierd.
If I go into any Windows Explorer window and right click on certain icons, (i.e. C: Hard Drive, the nVidia Ethernet Adapter, or my DVD-RW) the noise stops suddenly, but if I click off of the right click menu the noise starts back up again. I don't get it? Also if I use my mouse wheel and scrol up and down rapidly, the sound stops while I am scrolling, but once I stop it comes back.
I know that this has been posted a few times, but I still haven't found any way to stop the noise other than the ways above. So if anyone has/had the same problem and knows how to fix it, I would really appreciate it if you would share.
EDIT: I have also tried to return my CPU to stock speeds but there is still a noise.Im sure this noise, is the copper coils around the components near the cpu socket.. its a known problem on MSI boards, where they start to resernate / vibrate.
I've seen two solutions, neither have i tried, as I don't have the problem, but they are pretty harmless.
one is to apply a small amount of superglue over the copper coils, allow to set and switch back on,, or a safer way (in my opinion) is to use some wax (or electical sealing wax).

I'll ask this one more time...
I've asked. Can't seem to get any real answer. I'm using the Adobe CC cloud storage. It's deleting my files indiscriminately without me even knowing. Who knows what I’ve lost along the way. It’s an absolute disgrace. I’ve lost time, money and lost face with my customers. Does anyone at Adobe actually care about this known issue??? Disgraceful.

Because -as you might have guessed- it probably won't be a general issue with a generic solution or logical explanation.
Describe the situation a bit more. It won't bring your files back, but it will help the Adobe developers to take a better look at it and perhaps offer a soltion to prevent it from happening again.

Weird.. New IMac when downloading XLS files changes the file type to XLT
On my wife's IMac, when she downloads an excel file (attachment in an email) in the download folder the file name has been changed to XXX.xls.xlt. My desktop Mac does not do this. What's happening and what is the fix? Thanks for any direction. Joe
