I left my I pod in the bus!

What should I do?
I want to get back i pod and i need photos.

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have to iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.
- Apple will do nothing

  • Creating submixes and using the Bus and Send features...

I'm unfamiliar with creating a submix.
I know that I want to create 2 groups of vocals ( 6 tracks left and 6 tracks right, stereo image) to simulate a choir. I also know that I want to create a submix of 10 tracks of drums down to 2 tracks stereo.
Where can I find a good resource of information to learn and accomplish this. So far, my experimenting hasn't worked for me. I'll keep trying...but, I couldn't find anything in the Logic Express Tutorial either. I've checked into the Mac Pro Video series and couldn't find any detailed instruction there either. Maybe I was looking in the wrong volumes?
Well, I imagine it's not too difficult and I'm probably missing a simple little step...but any help will be greatly appreciated... -- Andy

+1) I went through each drum track (Inside Kick, Outside Kick, Top Snare, Bottom Snare, Hi-Hat,+
+Overhead Left, Overhead Right, Tom 1, etc.) and clicked "BUS 3" for each of them from the+
    +"SEND", then I...+
No. Sends are irrelevant here. The output should be set to Bus 3 on all your individual drum tracks.
+3) A new track called "Output 3&4". That is what I believe will be my destination track (the stereo+
    +drum mix).+
No again. The destination is Bus 3. You need a bus object 3 to be in either your mixer and/or arrange page. That's what will capture your individual drum outputs. And Bus object 3 output should be set to Output 1-2
Sooooo... the ONLY drum-related track with an output of 1-2 should be the bus 3 itself.
    +And can I create a track "Output 3&4" for the drums?+
Why do you want to? Presumably the rest of your song is going to Out 1-2, so you want the drums to also go to your mix bus, which is 1-2
    Hope this helps.

  • What is the bus for?

Being a newbie to Logic 8 still, I'm trying to understand of the bus. What exactly is its purpose? I think it's used as the output for a collection of tracks, is this correct?

One of the many differences to a bus over a group is the way you use effects. Say you've got 5 tracks that make up a drumkit, and you want to put a nice reverb on the kit. You you can put that effect on a bus, then route your 5 drum tracks to that bus, and you don't need a bunch of instances of the same effect taking up resources on your CPU. And since it's one effect being used for several tracks, you can quickly tweak settings for the effect and not have to do it for a bunch of effect instances like you would if you put an individual effect on every track.
There are also tons of ways to use buses artistically too. For example, you can have a dry guitar on a track, pan that to the left, then use the 'Sends' on the channel strip of the guitar to send some of the signal to a bus, put a crazy effect on that bus and pan the bus to the right, and then you've got dry signal left and wet signal right.
Once you understand the basics of routing and signal flow, you'll find this opens up new worlds. Once you grasp these concepts, you'll find them to be very concrete, not abstract at all.
    Good Luck!

  • Not able to see any firewire units on the bus overview.

I just bought my second Mini, it had been used by the outlet during a promotion campaign, so I had to restore the OS.
Everything looked fine, but there are two problems I am left with:
Firstly, the FireWire 800 interface seems almost dead. By that I mean, there is power on the bus, but no communication. On the FireWire info page I only get a warning in red letters saying "Warning: Could not list FireWire units". Of course, it does not matter what I connect.
The other issue I experience is that after booting the Mini, it takes 10 to 15 minutes before I am able to have response on keyboard and mouse input.
Any suggestions out there what could be the matter?

Thanx kbrosnan. Enter key will work if my keyboard is Google Keyboard but if i have another keyboard type (C-DAC, GIST Marathi Keyboard) then if I press enter key it will take special invisible character may be carriage return and not getting expected action. Using same C-DAC keyboard I am able to get expected action in another application. So is that browser problem of keyboard problem?

I have a mid-2009 MBP and I've been using my BOSE Companion 20 with it for about half a year now. It was fine until recently, when i want to adjust the volume using the pod on the BOSE Companion 20, it will cause like a surge in volume, spiking it up and down. It will not stablise itself! It's very fustrating. Anybody with the same issue?

I have the BOSE Companion 5 speakers and have had the same problem. I've searched everywhere and gotten nowhere. My speakers are way past their warranty, so calling Bose would probably get me no where either. Only thing I can think of is that the speakers overheat which causes the spikes in the volume. I've tried unplugging them for a few minutes and then plug them back on. The problem does go away, but after about 5 minutes, same problem.

In pages(not the New version) footer is over to the left, so when i put the page numbers in they don't sit right. How do i move the footer

The footer is not only to the left. To get the page number to the right you can use Format > Align right. That will make all page numbers move to the right. Is that what you want?

  • Can't use two i-pods on the same computer

I recently bought a new Gateway with Windows Vista after my first computer completely died. I hooked up my i-Pod, authorized the new computer but had to back up using my back up CDs. However, all went well.
I thought I would be able to do the same thing when I hooked my Dad's i-Pod up. Instead my songs show up in the library when his i-Pod is hooked up. His songs show up in the music folder that appears directly under devices, with his i-Pod clearly listed as the device.
I tried hooking up his i-Pod under a different account and the same thing happens. I-Tunes won't let me backup his music.
Any clues about how to get out of this mess?

Yes. Each iPod maintains its own preferences:

  • How to put a text in upper left hand corner for all the application?

I want to put a text in upper left hand corner for all the pages on application?
I don't want to put one page by another.
    Thank you.

If you put it in a region on page zero, it will be inherited by all pages of the application.. Literally in the upper left corner? Even the login page? You could also modify the template page that your using from your theme, so that all pages would have this attribute, whichever you are more comfortable with..
    Thank you,

  • GPU has fallen off the bus.

I experienced a weird problem for which I don't know the reason. A few months ago I had this problem which if I have to describe it, this is how it happens:
While I'm surfing, coding or playing a game, X dies (freezes) and the monitor goes black losing connection with the GPU. I saw the GPU message in dmesg and after a few more times it happened, I opened my PC, disassembled everything to clean the dust. Afterwards everything went okay, back to normal. Today, I experienced the problem again while playing a game and logged in through ssh to get some logs. Here's what I got:
    # dmesg

After a reboot, things are back to normal again, but I never found out the reason for this. I'm open to suggestions what might went wrong.
    Current hardware: https://www.smirky.net/info/

You're not alone on this it seems, a quick search lead me to an older thread on nVidia forums where several users are complaining about it and links to other threads. Some say that changing minimal powermizer state from 0 to 1 solved it for them (see last post of the thread).
There is also this, and to be honest, it reminds me of random blackscreens I was getting on my 8600m GT and a 260GTX until the screen stayed black not even showing the BIOS screen (PC still booted fine though). In the end I solved it by "baking" my GPUs to re-solder the chip to the mainboard. Both continued to work fine since then. The 8600m GT runs on arch now as you can see from my signature, and no problems with it so far.
May I also add I find the error message sounds hilarious.
    edit: found this.

  • In the top left on my screen where the back arrow is, there used to be a drop down arrow to skip back many pages. After installing 4.0.1, it has disappeared. How do I get it back?

In the top left on my screen where the back arrow button is to go back to previous webpages, there used to be a drop down arrow just to the right so I can see many of my previous web pages. Since installing Firefox 4.0.1, that arrow disappeared.

You can get the drop down list by either right-clicking on the back/forward buttons, or holding down the left button until the list appears.
If you want the drop-down arrow you can add it with the Back/forward dropmarker add-on - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker

But Say You Had Told The Bus Driver And I Said I Did And The Bus Driver Should Had Stop The Bus And Call The Police. They Would Had Check Everone On The Bus...I Called Apple They Told Me I Need To Call The Police And Report It....I Did But They Did Nothing So I Been Rob And I Lost Over $200 Dollar On A Ipod

Your really report it to the police in case they happen to recover it. thus they know to whom to return it.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.
    - Apple will do nothing without a court order
Reporting a lost or stolen Apple product

If it's not registered with Track My Mac you can still do that - when/if it's turned on it will then show up.
