You will need to get the file into the Numbers app and there are a few different ways to do that. You could email the file and then use the "Open In" feature (tap and hold down on the open file in the email and select "Open In Numbers" from the resulting window) use iOS file sharing or maybe DropBox.
I use file sharing with Pages which is another iWorks app. Read this for more information.

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar
To import music into your iTunes library on the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Add items to iTunes and follow the instructions
To sync to your iPod go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device and follow the instructions.

In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":

But all the adjustments that you apply in Lightroom, if you do not export to a rasterized format, will be inaccessible. You'll still have your catalog file, for if you want to re-inlist in the future, but it won't do anything for you without Lightroom. The same thing will go for Photoshop files like PSD, but obviously if you save to standard image formats you'll be fine.
It's one of the issues that keeps me away from the plan. Not being able to edit individual files in PS is one thing, but Lightroom is a photo organization system. I don't want to rent the system I use to organize 10s of thousands of files.

You would have to do this via Purchasing Numbers from the App Store. Have iCloud Setup, and go to icloud.com > Sign In > iWork > Upload the Excel File. As long as the extension is ".doc" or ".docx" the iPad will be able to read it/edit it.

Like I said, Peter, new to the forum. As for the app store I assumed the new version would, if anything, enhance the functionality of older versions. I obviously made the wrong assumption, both there and thinking that Apple might be paying attention to what is going on here. If I seem upset, it's because I just spent a bunch of money on a new system and am slowly discovering the many small ways in which Apple's software (and hardware) is being dumbed down. Seems like now that Jobs is gone and Apple's stock is through the roof, the cost-cutter... I mean stock-inflators are calling the shots.

Depends on the application you are using to create the resume. If you're using pages, it will save to ipad and icloud if you set that up.
How to upload will depend on the web site, they typically will have there own way of uploading or submitting files. Usually a 'upload file' button somewhere on there page.

Now I know what happened! I rebuilt the iTunes library, and now, when I connect my iPad, iTunes says that my iPad is synchronized with another library.

I don't have iTunes (only on iPad), or computer, so anything to do with sync or similar is not an option.
I will need to put files from my recording player (a separate dictaphone device) (which is can connect to iPad through camera connection kit) onto iPad. Where and how do I need to save it, so it does not mix with music files?
Also, as a separate question- where do i save music on my iPad that I buy online? e.g. napster.co.uk
P.S. I have those questions because the book I'm learning about iPad, is only talking about iTunes etc, and so the files are automatically downloaded and stored where it has to be stored.

believe with only an ipad your only source for music is itunes and other music providers who make an app in app store to handle it would think a company like amazon would have a player not sure about napster didn't even think they were really around anymore

You can install Windows on Boot Camp or a virtual machine > https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3321
If you decide to use a virtual machine, install Parallels, VMware Fusion or VirtualBox. You can install the Windows version you want.
If you decide to use Boot Camp, you can install a 64-bit Windows 7 or 8. In both cases, you have to use a System Builder or full Windows 7 or 8 version, which you can buy at Amazon or NewEgg. You will need an external disc drive.

Very Frustrated.

One iCloud account has one user name (a .mac or .me email name) and password. If you have set up multiple accounts in the past then you must choose one and stay with it. If you don't know the user name, then you have a problem. If you haven't really begun using iCloud (but you mention trying to get mail, so I'm assuming you have used iCloud before), then use a .mac or .me account you know you have or just sign up for a new account - and be sure to write down the name and password for future use.
If you want to use the account to sync your contacts, email, calendars, etc, then each of your ios devices need to use the same account, otherwise they will be independent of one another.
