Ipad will connect no problem to other networks.

First thing you need I think is to get your iMac connected to the Internet.
Shut down your iMac and you iPad. Then power off your router. Wait 30 seconds and power up the router.
After the router indicates that it is connected to the Internet then start up your iMac and see if it connects. If the iMac connects to the Internet then your iPad should too.
If this power up sequence doesn't work you'll have to dig into the router setup to make sure it is working properly.

The last thing you want is a second iCloud account. Try logging out and back in in System Preferences. If that doesn't work, I'd get AppleCare on the line.

In that case the procedure assuming it is a PAYG phone is to get an o2 PAYG sim, put £20 on it and then make a few calls making sure you leave £15 on the sim to pay for the unlock. Then there is an online unlock request form on the o2 site just fill this in. It takes between 1-14 days and you get a message from o2 telling you how to complete the official unlock through iTunes.
I got my o2 unlock in nov 09 so this is not just opinion.

I had the same problem with my 1st gen iPod touch and I tried a couple times to update it but sadly you can't because the software on the 1st gens can't support a higher iOS.

You may have inadvertently synced an app to your phone that was purchased with her ID. That would trigger a prompt for her ID password when updating. If that's the case, you would need to delete it from your phone.

I receive the message that I Tunes was not installed correctly and Error 7 (Windows Error 193). I have uninstalled/reinstalled I Tunes several times and this has not resolved the issue. I also uninstalled/reinstalled Microsoft.net Framework 4 since this was suggested by Apple support. This also has not resolved the issue.
When I reinstall I Tunes, I get a message that the “Service ‘apple mobile device’ failed to start.” Verify you have sufficient privileges to start system services. I attempted to manually start the Apple Mobile Device service but get a pop up stating, “Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.”Unsure what I should try next.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. You may want to keep Reader. You may want to select Acrobat as your default, but be able to click on a PDF (or PDF link) to open in Reader when needed. There are likely some PDFs that will not open correctly in AA 7 because of new features folks add. Just because it opens in Reader XI does not mean it is in the new format, but just that is the default opening you have. To tell the type of file, you have to open the PDF and check the properties (ctrl-D) and check Description>PDF version.

Have you ever even used skype on an iphone or ipod? We tried it and there is no way to type to each other while you are video chatting. You can do the typing during the video on a COMPUTER, but not on an iphone or ipod.
