Ever since I installed a new multimedia keyboard, my iTunes SOUND hasn't been working. But the sound in any other program works fine, so I know it's iTunes and not my computer. I've tried reinstalling iTunes, etc.
Please help, as this is really annoying and I am really frustrated.

Could someone answer this please. I uploaded all my photo's to the cloud from my mac. I then checked on my iPhone and iPad and i could see all 8000 photo's so I deleted them from the mac pro and then set up my mac book air. now I can only see 500 of the 8000 photo's?

Ethmoid is right... There ARE free web hosts, but... as the old saying goes "You get what you pay for" and if you pay nothing?
Most free web hosts are riddled with ads, and some are even hosts to malware. DO YOUR RESEARCH before committing to anything.
While some ISP's do provide free hosting, there are limitations with many of them, such as monthly bandwidth and file storage. You may not be able to get your whole site upto the server (depending on how big it is), or it may be down several days a month due to "excessive" traffic. Again - DO YOUR RESEARCH before committing to anything.
There are also a lot of services that run in the range of $4-7 a month for feature filled, bandwidth enabled hosting. Dreamhost is offering two domains for $3.95 a month right now. I use ICDSoft (have since 2003) and they're $7 a month, but they offer a lot for that.
Lastly, you want to look at SUPPORT. If your site goes down, and your "free" host is nowhere to be found.... It's as bad as having no site at all, if you cant get it fixed and no one can access your URL for days on end.

HT3964 Finally got to the reset SMC step and this worked. Powered the Mac Book Pro A1150 on the following morning and again grey screen and this time the SMC reset refuses to work!

After following the Apple knowledge base support notes on resetting the SMC I finally got to the reset SMC step and this worked. Powered the Mac Book Pro A1150 back up on the following morning and again grey screen and this time the SMC reset refuses to work!
The battery still as before indicates not charging and no lights on the battery pack confirm this along with the system profiler which suggests the battery should be replaced. The charger itself actually works ok.
Any further advice would be useful.

Serious default attribution error - PLEASE Someone Answer

PLEASE SOMEONE (from Adobe?) answer this - I have posted multiple times, in Acrobat Pro section and here.
Is the result I want impossible, or am I having an error???
I have Acrobat Pro CS3 set as default for reading pdf's, because I often have to edit the pdf's I open. This works fine with pdf's I open from disk.
However, it seems that somehow Acrobat Pro has taken over as default for opening pdf's inside browsers as well. My plugins list in FF shows "Adobe Acrobat 9.1.0.163 Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape". Whenever I navigate to a page which is a pdf, the entire Acrobat Pro external program opens, displaying a blank page and an error message popup - when I click OK on the error, the application closes and the pdf opens in the browser window - sometimes this requires several tries before it opens in browser.

I have Reader 9 installed on system, and I am downloading Reader 10 just to see if a reinstall will correct this.

Unfortunately, this is not resolved yet.
a) I have completely removed reader - all versions. This does not resolve the issue.
b) This issue is not limited to Firefox - the behavior is identical in FF and IE, Chrome seems unaffected.
(chrome is not a default browser I am willing to live with)
c) Daniel had a good suggestion, but my applicatins were already set up this way (I made no changes)

I have a 2400+ on the K7n2-L and I also 512 MB RAM Single channel (kingston, the one that gave a lot of people trouble).
I`ve never had ANY kind of trouble with my PC. It has been working for about a year without any sign of troubles.
I want to buy a new procesor, the 3000+ and buy 512MB more, if i do it will be the exact same so I could use dual channel.
My actual Bios is :W6570MS V3.2 011603 . I know that this one doesn`t support 3000+ so I have to upgrade it.
Wich one is the best one, i mean the one that supports 1GB of kingston dual channel memory and the 3000+ and doesn`t give you a lot of side effects?
Also, what is live update for?

That`s exactly why I asked . I`m not a fan of unnecessary Bios updates because most of them fix something and damage another.
But this time I must update it because of the new procesor.
Bios 3.5:

3.3 says that it adds support for 3000+ and 3.4 "fixed" the problem with Kingston.

For 3.6 above I don`t have any of those problems and the features it gives are not for me since my Mobo doesn`t have integrated VGA.

Please, please someone answer how to find Livetype Textures from 3.5 on HD

I am leaving town to be away for two months. I really want to use my MacBook while away to work on FCE but cannot on FCE v. 4 find the textures in Livetype I used in FCE 3.5. They simply did not come up when I installed on the MacBook, and yet they are on my Imac, even though I installed FCE v. 4 on it. So how do I get the textures from my Imac to my MacBook? They do not show up in the Library in Application Support.
So where are they? I know they are somewhere on my Imac HD but I cannot find them. I truly desperately want them so I can continue to work on my project while I am out of town for two months. I know it is possible to copy them to my MacBook via sharing once I know where to find them on my Imac HD.
Please, anyone who knows how to do this, let me know. I am leaving in a few days and I truly need to do this soon.

Thanks, Tom, for responding. I know this is complicated, but let me try to explain again what has happened and what I have done.
I recently purchased a new MacBook and want to work on FCE while using it. As I wrote in a previous post I somehow lost install disk 2 of FCE 3.5, so I had to purchase the newer FCE 4. I then installed it on both my old Imac and my new MacBook, having done the uninstall on my MacBook of what I had mistakenly copied over from the Imac to the MacBook, and so was getting error messages when running the copied FCE on the MacBook.
I did not do the uninstall of FCE 3.5 on my Imac and I am glad I didn't, because on my Imac, which once had FCE 3.5 before I installed FCE 4, I still have all the textures etc of LiveType accessible. But I don't have them accessible on my MacBook which never had the 3.5 version on it. Apparently version 4 has much fewer options for LiveType than version 3.5 had, which seems very peculiar to me. It is supposed to be an advanced version, but appears to be more like a downgrade.
Since I can access all the LiveType options of version 3.5 on my Imac, which now has version 4 installed, I want to know where they are located on my Imac HD so I can copy them over to the MacBook if that is possible. I have looked in the Library of my Imac, Application Support, as was suggested, but there is nothing there re LiveType or FCE so I want to know where the textures etc. are hiding. They obviously are somewhere, or else I could not access them on my Imac when in FCE 4.
Again any help will be most appreciated.

But the strange thing is this:
When I had the first disaster with that MBP I was on the road next to an apple store in bangkok. the logic board was going to take 1 week to get replaced and i had a time machine backup of the box with me, so i bought a new mb for the wife and installed the mbp backup onto the mp to get some work done that week. the amazing thing was that the little intel graphics chip worked with everthing i had loaded at the time, fcp motion c4d poser etc. but then again i did not do any production work. it seems like the imac 20" would perform even better then that, albiet i had 4gig in the mb at the time. so still confused, but gotta get something soon or i loose a client....

Some users have mentioned a problem with their Ipods restarting on their own for no reason. It has also been suggested that this problem might be triggered by certain songs. I have had the same problem since updating to software version 1.2, AND I HAVE IDENTIFIED THE SIMILARITY IN ALL OF MY PROBLEMATIC MP3'S...
THEY ARE ALL ENCODED IN MONO
I do not have any other type of file besides MP3's on my IPOD, and as of yet, I have not had this restarting problem with ANY of my files EXCEPT FOR EVERY ONE of them that is in MONO (as opposed to stereo). There were about 200 hundred of them, so this is no coincidence.
When I have some time I will try to RE-encode these songs in Stereo, and reload them into my Ipod to see what will happen. But I'm going on vacation for a week and will not be able to do this for over a week. If anyone out there has the time, please try this and let us know how it works out.
For the time being, I am removing EVERY file that is encoded in Mono from my Ipod, and hopefully this problem will disappear.

Asking again - please help. Itunes cannot see podcasts

Hi, I've got dozens of podcasts on my hard drive but since the most recent software update. Ctrl J doesnt work either.
Music and ItunesU work as normal, but all I get in the podcasts screen is a What's New screen with no way of removing it. I've reinstalled the progam multiple times as well as tried to revert to older versions to no avail.

First make sure all of the apps in your iTunes library are up to date by going to the Apps section of your iTunes library and choosing the Update button in the lower right hand corner. Once you have confirmed this, restart your iPod Touch with it still plugged in to a USB port by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
Then try resyncing your device.
