I load iTunes 7.5, but iTunes says it can't work with Shuffle
When I hooked up my new Shuffle, iTunes told me I must have version 7.2 or higher. I downloaded 7.5, and everything seemed to go fine. But I still get the same message---I need 7.2 or higher. What's up?
Read that message better. All that would be disabled is an Avast extension for Firefox, not the entire anti-virus program.

Yes. I have no personal experience with this, but it is possible to recover your music from an iPod. See this link: http://guides.macrumors.com/Recovering_Songs_from_an_iPod

I have had to re-boot my laptop now itunes says I can only sync with one library, how do I retain everything on my phone?

iv just bought a new laptop, i am trying to sync my songs on my iphone to my itunes, but it says it can only be sync with 1 itunes, any way around this?
The iPhone like all iDevices is not a storage device, it is merely a mirror of the content in the library to which it is synced.
If you wish to sync to a new computer, the first step is to copy or move the iTunes media library from the old computer to the new computer. This can be done via the network or by using an external hard drive.
Once the library has been moved, simply sync to the new computer. -
ITunes says it can't read my data, but restoring will install iOS4
Hi,
I've only recently purchased my 8gb iPod Touch, and am on my second one at the moment. I had to take the first one back in less than a day after I purchased it because iOS4 completely crashed it. Nothing could fix it.
Anyway, just recently the new iPod hasn't been connecting to iTunes properly. iTunes can find it but it says it can't read the data and it needs to restore it to the factory settings. I wouldn't have a problem with this normally, however when I go to restore, iTunes says that restoring will also install the iOS4 software, which ruined my last iPod Touch.
I really don't know what to do. Sooner or later I'm going to need to put more things on and take things off...I'm too scared to try and install iOS4 again and I've been told Apple won't help you if your iPod dies as a result of iOS4..
Does anyone know how I can fix this without installing iOS4?
Much appreciated..mine is doing the same thing other than Itunes saying it can't read the format. I can't play 90% of my music. I took it to an apple store the other day an they told me only purchased music will work. Not even a music upload from a CD. Which to me is a load of ....because my wife has all the songs on her iphone that are greyed out on mine and they work on hers

I have tried a zillion times to update itunes to 10.5.2 but it won't work. Under the "About iTunes" section it says that I'm still using itunes 10.4. What I'm really trying to do is update my iphone 4 software but itunes says I can't do that without first updating the itunes software, which it won't let me do. Anyone know how to fix this? Much appreicated.
Look at the system preferences for iTunes 10.5.3. Are you running 10.5.x (Leopard) or later? If you are then please repost in the iTunes for Mac forum.

I have an ipod touch 8gb that is disabled. on the screen it reads ipod disabled connect to itunes. But when i connect it to itunes, it says that it cant work with the ipod because it is locked with a passcode. what now?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

My ipod touch is disabled and it says to connect to itunes but itunes says it can't sync because it is locked. Any way to unlock and keep data? (apps, gaming levels, music).
Hi,
Take it to you nearest Apple Store and see what they have to say. You should back up you data before you go in but in your case you can not.

I want to use an old 3 GS iPhone that is no longer in service as a phone now as just an iPod to play music. When I connect the phone to the computer with iTunes running, iTunes says it can't connect to the device because it didn't get a valid response from the device. How can I get the system to recognize the phone, and let me rename it as my iPod, instead of my phone?
As an aside, the current installed operating system on this old iPhone is 4.2.1, but that wasn't one of the selectable options in the operating system list dropdown below. Don't know if that makes any difference.Hi maddogdne,

I have about 10 songs in my "purchased" folder that iTunes says it can"t locate, how do I find them? I have tried Finder- Music no luck.

Hi! I am new to itunes store. I have put 10 songs in my wish list that I want to purchase but can't seem to find a purchase icon. How do I do this?
One song at a time. Open the Wish List, and click on the price for the song.
(Older versions of iTunes had a "Buy All" button to allow purchasing the whole list at once, but that feature is no longer there.) -
I am a new iPad owner with Mac OS 10.4.11 on my desktop. Currently I have iTunes 9.2.1. What do I need to do to be able to sync my iPod settings in iTunes to my new iPad? The newest version of iTunes says I can't install it since it requires 10.5 or later.

iTunes tells me, that I need to load version 11.1 in order to load a backup into my iPhone 5. I'm working with a windows PC and want to update my phone to iOS 7GM. version 11.0.5 is the highest I can get for windows. Can somebody help me?
I'm assuming you followed a forum like Gizmodo to load the latest version of iOS 7 Beta on your device
Alot of those forums forget to mention, iTunes 11.0.5 will allow you to update to the iOS 7 Beta but your device will no longer work unless you have the developer version of iTunes as well....
I'd suggest you to research how to downgrade back to 6.1.3/4 and wait a few days for the iOS to be released,
