- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- Try another cable
- Try on another computer

I am currently an owner of an Ipod Touch 4th generation. I see you are having problems with your Ipod Touch, so I will try to find a solution to your problem.
Restart the Computer. This sometimes happens to me when I keep my Windows 7 on Sleep, and I try to sync my Ipod
Make sure you have the latest version of Itunes

I accidentally changed a setting on my ipod touch and now it won't change back. I have had my ipod for more than two years and i dont know what to do. If i go to the apple store, would they fix it, or would i need to get a new one? If it could be fixed, how much would it cost?
If it is still under warranty you can call the 800 number to apple and enter the serial number and it will tell you if it is under warranty or not if not its like $30 basically for them to help or something like that it said today when i called...
Or take it to a genius bar if you have one near?

How did it get on your ipod in the first place if not from your comptuer?
Everything on your ipod should be on your computer and you should be syncing regularly. -
I just downloaded a new software update to my ipod touch and now the ipod and screen are frozen. I received a message that the download was not successful and now my screen is showing the blue round itunes symbol with an arrow pointing to the symbol and shows a cable below it. I have tried the restart of pushing the two buttons together and waiting 10 seconds for the apple symbol which appears and then go backs to the same stuck symbol. Try a hard reset. To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
If still no luck try downloading and installing a free app from the app store. This has resolved the issue for many users.

To circumvent an iPod with a forgotten passcode you would need to restore the iPod to factory settings. This will remove the software and data/content from your iPod as well.
To put your iPod/iPhone into recovery mode:
1. Make sure the iPod/iPhone is connected to a computer with iTunes installed on it.
2. Hold down the sleep/wake button(top button) and the home button at the same time until the iPod/iPhone screen goes black then shows the apple logo( usually 10-15 seconds).
3. Once the apple logo appears on the screen, let go of the sleep/wake button and keep holding the home button.
4. The ipod/iphone screen should show an itunes logo and usb cable if you were successful. A dialog box will appear in iTunes that states an iPod/iPhone in recovery mode has been detected if you are successful.
5. Click ok, then click the Restore button
After that you should be up and running in no time!
