I logged out of iCloud and lost over 2,000 photos
I Logged out of my iCloud account and I logged back in later, but I realized I had lost of 2,000 photos. I have looked on other iCloud devices,but have found nothing. I would try to restore my iPhone to the back up from a couple months ago, but then I would loose all the photos I have taken after that. Please help!
Logging out of iCloud would have no affect on your Camera Roll. Did you do anything other than logging out of iCloud?
If you have a recent backup of your device, you can always reset it to Factory Settings, and then restore it using that backup.
Can you think of anything other than logging out of iCloud that occurred?

My iMessage for my Macbook Air is not working. I have updated everything. My system is running on OS X Yosemite Version 10.10. When I go to send a message, it says no delivered with a next to it. I keep getting logged out of iCloud and iMessenger on my iPhone 5s. I have iOS 8.1.3, I've logged out of everything, restarted, logged back in, I've fully erased and reset the phone, I've done everything every blog has suggested and it is still not working properly. I've even had to fully erase my iPad because it started acting as the primary device so I was not getting any messages on my iPhone. I did update my password a while ago but even after that the phone and iPad were working fine, then within the last few month's I've been dealing with this issue.
Please help, I've literally tried every fix everyone has suggested on this subject and nothing is working. I'm strongly tempted to change from an Apple device at this point.Reset your phone - no data loss
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
If that does not fix the problem - back up your phone to iTunes and restore as new
See if the problem is solved before you restore from backup or load any apps

I have lost thousands of photos in my iPhoto'08 program (v 7.1.5). I don't think they are lost from my iMac as the storage amount hasn't decreased but the last several years of picks (over 20,000) are not showing up. Any tips on how to relocate them?

Nothing recently changed that Ican think of! I went on vacation and when I returned, I uploaded my new photos. That's when I discovered that the new photos were in the library but very few other photos were.
When you say to back up the iPhoto library, is this something different that backing up the entire iMac to an external hard drive? -
Help!!!! I've lost over 14,000 photos
Yesterday I was scanning photos into my MacBook Pro & it told me to set up a new album which I done, anyway, since re-opening my iPhoto over 14,000 of my photos have GONE
The only photos that are in there are the ones I scanned in yesterday.

are you runnning iPhoto or Photos?
if iPhoto what version are you using?
what do you see in the iPhoto window when open the library?
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive? -

Is there any way to get them back? I have time machine, but upon last back up it deleated all the way up to Oct 20 2012. How can I get my photos back now?
Hard to say anything with that amount of information to work with. Restore from your back up.

I was looking at the "Find my iPhone" app and I have a doubt regarding how it works for the macbook. In order to detect the location, the macbook should remain signed into iCloud. What if the person who has stolen my macbook logs out of iCloud.
It should work fine for iPhone/iPad because we can enable "Restrictions" to prevent the user from signing out of iCloud. Do we have simialr settings for the macbook?
Thanks,If it's not on the device list, it indicates that someone has gone to Find My iPhone on icloud.com and manually deleted it from the device list (as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmfc0eeddd), and it has not gone back online since (which would cause it to reappear on the device list; Find My iPhone has been turned of in settings on the device; the iClolud account has been deleted from the device; or the entire devices has been erased and restored.
Unfortunately, there's no other way to track the phone other than through Find My iPhone. You could call your carrier and see if they would blackliste it so at least the theif couldn't use it. -
How can I lock out my iCloud?
Because of forget my old password I have create a new Apple ID

You can change this from: Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Sign out and sign in with new ID, but you will have to pay again to download apps that you already have in your old account. Or leave it as it is to share purchases with your son. -

You need to return it to the seller and get your money back. You cannot reset or use the device with another AppleID installed unless you know the password for that ID.
If the device has been jailbroken, no one on here can give you any further help...the Terms of Use prohibit us from doing so. -

You don't need to worry about apps. You can continue to share the same ID for the iTunes and App stores but in order to create a new iCloud account you will need to use a different ID (it doesn't need to be the same as your iTunes ID).
To migrate your phone to your own account, if you have any photos in photo stream that you want to save on your phone, open your my photo stream album and save them to the camera roll by tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. Your sister's phone will not be effected by this.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up your new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account.
Once your phone is on its own account, you can go to icloud.com on your computer, sign into your account and manually delete any of your sister's data from your account. She can also delete any of your data from her account. -
I need to change my iCloud email address. I changed it for my Apple id but I can't log out of iCloud to change it there. Find my iPad is activated so I can't delete my iCloud account. I don't have the email address the iCloud login has anymore so I can't have the password sent there. To sum it up, iCloud has an old email for the account log-in. I don't remember the password for the old email. I have Find My iPad activated so the iCloud account cannot be deleted. And I am already logged out of iTunes & App Store.
If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple IDand that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details and some other circumstances.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device. It may take a short while to remove the account.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

The children had new IPhones 5s bought for them by my ex-husband. He set them up and logged them into his Icloud account which they were unaware of. Some months later they have messages saying their Icloud storage is full which alerted them to the fact it was his Icloud account on their phones. There was also some transference of personal photos from other devices to their phones from his phone? We know he was able to see things on their phone but did not know how. Can he backup all their info without their knowledge? Did he have access to their email; imessage, SMS, facebook, photos etc
Please explain how we can ensure his icloud account details are removed from their phones so he can not access their phones. In addition is there anyway he could have put spyware on their phones and if so can we run a test of some sort?

Log out of iCloud.
Log out of the iTunes Store and App Store.
Create a new Apple ID.
Log in to iCloud using the new Apple ID.
It isn't possible to install malicious software on an iOS device unless the device is jailbroken or you have the resources of a government intelligence agency.
