I look for card pci usb 2.

I have a Powermac G4, 1,25 GHz and I like to add to him to a card pci to me usb 2.0. I have several card models to choose, somebody has some and your opinion of them
Adaptec USB2connect 5100
Adaptec DuoConnect
Belkin F5U220
Belkin F5U508
DLINK DU-520

Well, I bought a generic USB 2 card from a local computer store for $19.
Said PC/MAC compatible. Slapped it in a slot in my G4 in Dec, with 10.3.9 running. No problem.
Well, just to tell you that it does not have to be a name brand, for what it is worth.

  • I'm looking for a PCI UMTS card for Portege M700

    Thanks apologize in advance

    Hi
You need a 3G broadband module?
As far as I know some of the M700 Portege series have been equipped with the 3G module I think its from Novatel but Im not quit sure
However, if you need an part for the Toshiba notebook which would be compatible for sure, then the best place for buying such part is your ASP.
The guys could check what parts are compatible and could order it from Toshiba if this would be really necessary

  • Looking for hardware (PCI Wireless LAN)

I'm looking for a PCI Wireless LAN card that will work well with Linux, does anyone know of any place that documents this sort of thing? (as in a list)

Euphoric Nightmare wrote:Okay, just figured out i can't use pci, because there are no slots available...fucking dells...i'll have to look at some other options
I think it's other option, singular - as in USB? I recently had to switch wifi to USB myself, when my laptop's card slots died. After a bit of research, I went for the prism2 chipset with the wlan-ng driver - specifically, the Netgear MA111. It's all working fine now, but in retrospect, I'd probably go for something that works better with wireless_tools.
AFAICS, there aren't any stable drivers for 802.11g over USB - madwifi may or may not do it, depending on Atheros, prism54 is trying, and they have pre-alpha stuff available for the brave/foolish, and there's also the zd1211 project on sourceforge.

I suggest that you contact iTunes support. http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html It could be what Lawerence said. Debit cards are not always accepted. Many say they are not any more, but those that already existed are okay. If you are getting this error declining the card, I feel this is the case for you.

  • Looking for a good usb hub that will allow my mouse and external hard to work together

I'm looking for some ideas for a good usb hub that will allow me to use a wireless mouse and an external hard drive at the same time, without shorting out the mouse.  The one i currently have, when I plug in just the mouse, it's fine, but as soon as i put the external hard drive into the hub port, the mouse no longer works and i have to reinstall the drivers for the mouse.

Hubs and computers vary in their power needs, but it seems that your setup is lacking in the power department. This isn't a big deal with desktop computers, but since you use a MBP, you're going to do best with a powered USB hub.
If you're looking for a USB hub with power supply, Belkin is generally reliable (and above average in price). But the D-Link is compact, reliable, and has a good price. Aim for a USB 3.0 hub if possible, though 2.0 will work fine with just about anything. Insist on a refund if the hub doesn't work in your system. Make sure it's compact, since you'll be carrrying it around.

  • What to look for in Blootooth USB adapter?

What should I look for when purchasing a 3rd party
USB Bluetooth adapter? Any specs or Bluetooth standards?
    Thanks.

    Hi, Mark!
Please read and consider item (3) in this post, where I tried to summarizes both pluses and minuses:
[ Dean Pahl, "Re: Bluetooth drops connection," Apr 21, 2006 12:42 AM ].
Note also what the Apple Wireless Keyboard and Mouse FAQs says:
"Question: Can I use a USB Bluetooth adapter other than the D-Link DBT-120 (Rev B2 or later) with the Apple Wireless Keyboard and Mouse?

Answer: Apple supports using the Apple Wireless Keyboard and Mouse with computers that have built-in Bluetooth or with the D-Link DBT-120 (Rev B2 or later) USB Bluetooth adapter. Results may vary with other USB Bluetooth adapters."             [Emphasis added.]
You may also find it beneficial to search through this forum and the Other Bluetooth Devices forum to learn about others' experience with other "3rd party" adapters.
Hopefully, some folks with success stories — particularly with some of the newer adapters on the market that add new profiles such as A2DP and comply with the Bluetooth 2.0+EDR Specification — will post here in your thread to share their experiences. Please feel free to post back and discuss this further...
    Warm regards,
    Dean

  • Looking for a good USB Hub

I am looking at purchasing one of two different USB hubs for my iMac. Both are from Belkin. The first is a 7 port hub and the second a 4 port.
I am leaning towards the 7 port but have heard that it suffers from severe overheating. I'd like to know if anyone here has experienced this problem with either of the Belkin hubs. If you did have a problem what are you using now?
Any info is helpful, even recommendations of other hubs available on the market. A four port hub meets my requirements exactly. I have an APC UPS and my iSticks plugged directly into my iMac, and I will be plugging in my free-1 Skype phone, 5G iPod, card reader and Shuffle into the hub. I like the idea of having a couple extra ports for future devices.
    Thanks.

    Thanks Tom.
Not bad. However, I don't plan on using the dock once my Vaja case arrives. Much as I did with my XtremeMac case with my two previous iPods, I will leave my iPod in the case when connected or charging. If I did plan on using the dock I would use the Universal dock I have now. To be honest I think having an upward facing USB port is extremely useful for plugging in a Shuffle. With the TuneSync hub I would have to reach in behind every time I wanted to connect or disconnect the shuffle. Either that or I would have to buy a dedicated Shuffle dock. I think it is more efficient to purchase one device allowing me to connect a Shuffle rather than two.
    Thanks again.

  • Looking for Pinout - PCI-CAN 18472E-02 DSUB 9pin

    Hello,
I've got a PCI-CAN card from 2003 that I can't seem to find much information about:
NI CAN Series 1 card. Connector is 9-pin D-Sub -   Part Number: 184726E-02
Anyone have a pinout or know if this follows the normal NI CAN 9pin output?  There's nothing in MAX and nothing from Google or NI from what I was able to search.
    Thank you!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi Waterppk,
The pinout of the 9-pin D-Sub CAN connector is basically identical for Series 1/2, PCMCIA, PCI, PXI, AND USB interfaces (differences center around the usage of pin 9: "V+" ).
You can find the most recent version of the manual here: NI-CAN Hardware and Software Manual and Specifications
Chapter 4 'Connectors and Cables' describes the pinout in detail (see page 4-2) .

  • Looking for an external USB CD/DVD burner

    Hello all,
I just got my MacBook Air 13" and I'm in need of an external USB CD/DVD burner.  I've read on Newegg and Amazon that certain drives require two USB plugs just to get sufficient power.  With the MBA, however, this isn't really feasible because the USB ports are on either side of the machine.
We already broke the bank buying this laptop, so we'd like to save money on the DVD burner if possible.  Those of you with Airs, let me know which DVD drives you've had success with.
    Thanks!!

I'm a big fan of LaCie products so I've had this external CD/DVD drive for a while -
    http://www.lacie.com/us/products/product.htm?id=10340
It's a little on the high end but it's been fantastic in the close to 3 years I've owned it. It only requires a single USB port, mainly due to the fact that it requires A/C power to run.

  • Im looking for the Soundblaster USB 24-bit ext drivers!

  • Looking for a longer USB cord...

Is there a longer cable out there. OEM cables don't give much slack.

There is a 10 foot cable available on apple.com for 29.95.
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/H1826ZM/A?fnode=MTY1NDAzOQ&mco=MTg3MDQ0NzM
It is a heavier cable than the 3ft cable. You can also buy the same one at Walmart for $24.

  • Looking for PCI SCSI card for G5

I've just learned my old SCSI PCI card (5 volt) from my G4 won't work in the G5 (3.3 volt PCI slot).
I'm looking for a 50-pin SCSI PCI card, 3.3v, that will work in a G5 & with OSX ... any suggestions? Thanks.

I'm interested to know if this is the plain old Adaptec 29160N or the Adaptec PowerDomain 29160N. I made a similar upgrade 4 years ago and I had an identical problem. I never got my old scanner to work. The ratoc SCSI--Firewire bridge didn't support multiprocessors, and the Adaptec PowerDomain card was prohibitively expensive. Due to the lack of updated drivers for the scanner, VueScan was necessary in either case, if remember properly.

  • Drivers for Belkin F5U220 USB PCI card

I am trying to install Belkin F5U220 USB PCI card into my G4. There are no drivers on the CD or Belkin's website. After installation, I connection Apple mouse. The mouse indicator was lit. But does not work. Where can I get drivers for this PCI card ? I read several posts here that this card worked on many systems. Wondering how it worked... Appreciate any help.

The drivers are built into the operating system.
Does the card appear in your system profiler?
When I plugged in my usb 2 card it just worked. From time to time I had to reset the pmu to get things reset properly but it has been 2 times in 2 years. (lots of 2's in my post, huh?)
Apple seems to have removed the link to the reset of the pmu so I'll give a readers digest.
    Open the mac
Touch the power supply case to ground yourself
Remove the battery and check the voltage (3.6V)
Press the pmu button (3/8"square box with a bb size button in the center). Hold it down for a 3 count. Don't press it more than one time or you will mess things up
    Replace the battery
Restart the mac with the usb2 card in it.
    See if that helps

  • Where can I get a PCI USB card for OSX 10.5 that will coat as little as one for a common PC?

Every accessory for an Apple product cost way more than it should! I want to find a PCI USB hub that has a OSX driver, so I can install it in my G$ AGP 400Mhz, upgraded to a 1.6 Ghz with 1.25 Gb memory
