I lose photo

Yesterday, i delete my photo from iphone gallery. I dont backup this photo on pc. This photo is important from me. Please, help me how to recover this photo????

Thanks for your responses... I'm just trying to free up space on the shared laptop I'm using. I figured that I could add to the photos on my ipod by selecting 'new' folders, but I understand it's a kind of 'all or nothing' set-up.

    Hello dancetoday07,
Let's see if we can square this away for you. With backing up your iPhone, it will back everything you have using iTunes and if you use iCloud, by default, backs up everything. After you have made a backup you can restore that to put the contents of the backup on your replacement iPhone. If you want to put certain things back on, you will at least need to export the content to your computer, like your photos and videos. If you only want to put certain things back on, then you will need to sync that over with iTunes. All the information you will need are in the articles below.

  • Will I lose photos when I upgrade to maverick

Will I lose photos when I upgrade iPhoto to maverick

    No. But backup everything first.
    Basic Backup
For some people Time Machine will be more than adequate. Time Machine is part of OS X. There are two components:
    1. A Time Machine preferences panel as part of System Preferences;
    2. A Time Machine application located in the Applications folder. It is
used to manage backups and to restore backups. Time Machine
requires a backup drive that is at least twice the capacity of the
         drive being backed up.
    3. Time Machine requires a backup drive that is at least double the
capacity of the drive(s) it backs up.
Alternatively, get an external drive at least equal in size to the internal hard drive and make (and maintain) a bootable clone/backup. You can make a bootable clone using the Restore option of Disk Utility. You can also make and maintain clones with good backup software. My personal recommendations are (order is not significant):
      1. Carbon Copy Cloner
      2. Get Backup
      3. Deja Vu
      4. SuperDuper!
      5. Synk Pro
      6. Tri-Backup
Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on backup and restore.  Also read How to Back Up and Restore Your Files. For help with using Time Machine visit Pondini's Time Machine FAQ for help with all things Time Machine.
Although you can buy a complete external drive system, you can also put one together if you are so inclined.  It's relatively easy and only requires a Phillips head screwdriver (typically.)  You can purchase hard drives separately.  This gives you an opportunity to shop for the best prices on a hard drive of your choice.  Reliable brands include Seagate, Hitachi, Western Digital, Toshiba, and Fujitsu.  You can find reviews and benchmarks on many drives at Storage Review.
    Enclosures for FireWire and USB are readily available.  You can find only FireWire enclosures, only USB enclosures, and enclosures that feature multiple ports.  I would stress getting enclosures that use the Oxford chipsets especially for Firewire drives (911, 921, 922, for example.)  You can find enclosures at places such as;
      1. Cool Drives
      2. OWC
      3. WiebeTech
      4. Firewire Direct
      5. California Drives
      6. NewEgg
All you need do is remove a case cover, mount the hard drive in the enclosure and connect the cables, then re-attach the case cover.  Usually the only tool required is a small or medium Phillips screwdriver.

  • Sony xperia z1s loses photos

Hi, my sony xperia z1s loses photos whenever i take them? please help on how to resolve this because its frustrating taking a whole bunch of photos for them to just disappear in the wind later on!!

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
Even if they are not displayed on the phone they may still be there. I would advise connecting to a PC and seeing if the files themselves still exisit.

  • ITunes is saying I have to do a recovery on my iPhone 4, but doing so will restore factory settings and I'll lose photos, contacts, etc. The phone is completely frozen and I can't do anything else. Help!

I plugged my phone into my laptop this morning and it started doing an update. I walked away from my desk, came back and had an error message and a prompt saying my phone is in recovery mode and needs to be restored. But when I click "ok" to do that it says it will restore the factory settings and I'll lose all media, data and contacts. I DON'T want to do that--the whole reason I plugged my phone in this morning was to download some new photos, so I can't lose them!
The phone isn't working...it's showing a usb connector pointing to an iTunes icon.
    Help!!!

If your phone is in recovery mode, you've already lost all data on the phone...its gone. Your only option now is to restore the phone, either from backup or as a new device.

  • I've just installed Maverick and now can't open iPhoto. I have 9.2.1 currently installed. Am terrified I'm going to lose photos as they weren't all backed up. What do I do? Please help...

I've just installed Maverick and now can't open iphoto. I have 9.2.1 currently installed. Please help - am terrified I've lost my photos as they weren't all backed up.

    Pogs78,
first things first — buy an external drive to use as a Time Machine backup destination and make a back up. That way, you won’t lose anything which is currently on your MacBook Pro.

  • Changing syncing PC - will I lose photos and other data?

I have been syncing my wife's 3GS to my iPhone account.  And, because of iCloud she also gets copies of, for example, my photos.
Question:  if I shift the phone to her PC and iTunes account, will she lose her photos , contacts etc?
I don't want to find out by trial and error!
    Thank you.

She will lose all music and apps that are not in her iTunes library. So she should copy them from your computer to hers. Easy with iTunes Home Sharing if they are on the same network. Before syncing you should back up the phone on her computer. To do this FIRST go to iTunes Preferences, Devices tab, and check the box to NOT sync automatically when the phone is connected. Then connect the phone, click on its name in iTunes, then the Backup iPhone button. You should also back up to iCloud if she doesn't already. Belt and suspenders, but you can't have too many backups. iCloud backups are done directly from the phone.

  • Sync iphone how not to lose photo roll?

I have a iphone and was using itunes on my work PC (winXP). I recently brought the new 13" Macbook, and have been trying to get my iphone to work with the Macbook.
I manage to transfer all my purchases to the mac, losing only songs copied via CD. I also deactivated the PC so itunes wouldn't think it was registered with another library.
But the problem is my iphone safari bookmarks, contacts and photo roll, will be deleted from the empty itunes library on sync. Is there anyway to get itunes to copy off the content from iphone, rather then sync no content from the macbook.
I am going to try the home sharing which is available with the latest itunes, but why is it that itunes does a brand new macbook has more content then my iphone, it really be nice if was two way sync.
Anyway any suggests would be appreciated.

Hi rang apple support and from the above managed to sync without any loss of data.
Apple suggested I could copy the itunes library from XP to Mac but thought this too complicated.
Also option of home share with version 9 of itunes, but couldn't install it on XP, download dropout.
    What I did :-
    1. I backup the iphone on the exist XP itunes library.
    2. I backup the iphone on the Maxbook itunes store.
NOTE: Probably overly cautious but didn't wish to lose my contacts, calendar or bookmarks.
Couldn't find any setting to merge on iphone or itunes but appears it did do this.
    3. I added a dummy contact and calendar entry to both iCal and the address book, as suggested.
    4. Launched iphoto and imported in my photo roll, and set the delete photo option from iphone.
Need to sync to iphoto before sync itunes photos as itunes sync's to iphoto folder.
    5. Did a full sync.
I got the standard warning messages, everything being trashed on my iphone and replaced with what was in my library, but didn't loss anything, yeaaaa....
    Thanks for all the help.
Now trying to resolver bookmark problem with import of bookmarks.

  • Will I lose photos if I delete an incomplete iCloud ?

To download iOS7, I started backing up to iCloud, then realised my photos were more than 5GB. I stopped the back up. Now, with iOS7 downloaded, all my photos are in the camera roll, but only using 3gb memory rather than the previous 6. The other 3 is in an incomplete iCloud back up. How do I get them restored to the phone? If I delete the cloud, will half my photos disappear from my camera roll?

If I delete Aperture and purchase it again will I lose my photos.
No, deleting Aperture and purchasing and installing will not delete your images; they are stored in the Aperture library and not in the Aperture application bundle.
Only, I do not see how this will help. You would buy exactly the version that you are using now.
As I suggested in the other thread, that Aye Es Oh pointed to:
Check, if you entered the serial numbers correctly - sometimes the printed versions do not show clearly which letter is meant; see Troubleshooting Professional Application Serial Numbers
and if you cannot make Aperture accept the serial numbers, contact Apple with a proof of purchase. You may be able to get a replacement serial number without having to pay again.

  • IPhoto damaged or incomplete-Don't want to lose photos

My I mac is about 4 months old. Yesterday I installed iWork 09, no problem. Today there were updates for my i work, so I downloaded and updated my iWork. After that my iPhoto is damaged or incomplete. I cannot access my photos due to iPhoto's malfunction.
I am afraid I will lose my photos. If I reinstall iphoto will I lose my photo's?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You probably have a damaged iPhoto library but your image files are safe. Did you repair disk permissions after installing iWork and it's updates? If not do so, reboot and try iPhoto again.
Next, backup the library and try the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache files that are located in the User/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
    Fix #2
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select options #1 and #6.

  • Can't lose photos

I have a 2009 iMac and I can't get past a grey screen when I start the computer, it also beeps 3 times and then pauses for 5 seconds before beeping again. I believe this is a RAM problem and I have tried plugging everything out and pressing the start button for 10 seconds but it is still the same.
I have really important photos of my Mum on the computer and they are the last photos that I have of her.
Even if I fix the RAM issue, will I lose all the information and photos I have saved on the computer.
I'm really anxious about this so any help or advice is appreciated.

    Hi,
As suggested it sounds like your RAM. The first place to start is to simply remove and re-install. When pressing back RAM in use both thumbs and press hard so it seats. I just did a RAM upgrade and thought I got mine installed correctly, within an hour it had become loose and began having problems. After reseating it there have been problems.

  • IPhone loses photos when turned off

Every time I turn my iphone off, I lose all the photos I've taken. Is there a setting I can change to fix this?

Photos taken with the camera on the iPhone should not delete themselves when you turn the phone off. This is not normal. If this happened to you with a new phone, it leads me to believe there is something in the software backup that you did when you set up the new phone. I would first try a reset, holding the home and power button together until you see the Apple logo and then releasing, ignoring the slide to power off screen. See if that changes it. If you take a picture and then turn the phone off and the picture is deleted, then you need to try and do a restore. I would recommend a restore as a new phone. Do not install anything on the phone after that and try to take a picture, turn the phone off then on and see if the picture is deleted. If it is, then something is still wrong.

  • If I restart my I Pad, Will I lose photos and all

If I restart my I pad, will i lose my photos and everything?

No, of course not. I restart my iPad if I feel that it is warranted. Do you have some problem or issue?

  • WIll you lose photos when it ask you to upgrade your library?

Im updating my MBP to Mountain Lion and am now updating my iPhoto to iPhoto '11 and when doing so it ask me to update my photo library. Will doing this have the possibility of losing all my photos?

    Again
    Yes
Make a copy of your iPhoto library prior to upgrading [the library in this case ]
And it sounds like you do not regularly backup.  If you do not sooner or later you will lose everything. All of your files including your photos. Seriously you should purchase an external ard drive at least 2 1/2 times as large as your main drive and start running Time Machine

  • If i sign out of iCloud will I lose photos and docs off my Mac?

I am in the process of changing my email address which means changing my AppleID.  In 'how to change your ID' you are meant to sign out of iCloud.  I get warnings that if I sign out any docs, photos etc which have not been imported will be deleted from my computer.
how do i know if they have been imported and I won't lose them?
    and
is there an easy way to change your ID on your Mac? it was easy on phone
    iOS X10.9.5
    Cheers

They will still be in iCloud.  Provided you are signing back into the same account (just with and updated email address) and not changing accounts, your data will download back to your Mac when you sign back in.
You might want to make sure your my photo stream photos are imported to iPhoto before signing out.  To do this, open iPhoto, control-click on the My Photo Stream album and choose "Import".  If it says "Show in Library" instead of Import, they have already been imported to your library.
