I Lost all my contact and data
i have problem with my iphone4, it was ios 4.3.3 then i update into 5.1.1. before i doing upgrade i have backup all my data into pc via itunes but not succesed, then i do for upgrade because ithink all my contact not lost after do upgrade ios. but now, all my contact lost. can you help me how to recover my contact data ? i'ts looks like if data in pc lost we can recovered using tools. but how if iphone? please help me

In short. No, you cannot unsync. If you had a back up from your old iPhone you cand restore from a back up.
In iTunes go to Edit > Preferences > Devices > and select the latest back up.
Before you synced your phone did you have it set up with the PhotoStream or iCloud? The pictures would be saved there. Or if you had them sync to a file on your computer. -

I've recesally had to take my Iphone to be repaired before I. took my phone i backed up my data into Icloud and when i got my new phone I have lost all my contacts and photos. My husband and I both have iphones and everything was ok until I synced his phone and lost all his contacts and pixs. I downloaded verizon's contact retreival app and got his contacts back but now his contacts keep overwriting mine. I can sync my phone and get my contacts back but within a few hours, his show up again. We use the same apple id for purchases. What can I do?
Are you sharing the same iCloud account (in Settings>iCloud)? And do you both have Contacts turned to On in Settings>iCloud?

If you are saying that you both have iCloud accounts and use the same icloud ID, then yes, the contacts will be deleted. The idea is that all devices using the same icloud ID are kept in sync. You need to use different IDs. You can keep the same iTunes ID so you can share the songs and apps. But use different icloud IDs.

Use your backup -
I've synced my phone, accidentally, to my wife's account and now lost all me photos and data... Is there any way of retrieving it all? The bigger problem is I can remember when my phone was last synced to my account so the info list is not on there either
To see if there are any backups of your device on the computer, go to iTunes/Edit/Preferences/Devices.
Moving the mouse over the listed backups will tell you to which device they belong.
If there is no backup of your phone listed, your data is gone.

Where were you storing your contacts? In the cloud? In outlook? Synch them back from wherever they were being stored.

You should have been syning them with your computer regularly. They should still be there.

What's the best way to transfer all the content, including notes and apps, from my old 3rd gen to my new 4th gen. When I replaced my last iTouch with the 3rd gen I lost all my contacts and notes.
Backup the 3g by syncing in iTunes. Then connect the new one and sync everything to it from your backup.

josefaIf you had never synced it before, you may have the options for "Sync Address Book Contacts" selected and not have your contacts in your address book on your computer. Hopefully you have a backup of your contacts somewhere that you can restore to (iCloud Maybe?). BTW, if you plug in your iPhone to your computer, open iTunes and click your phone. (Whatever you named it) You can click the second option name "Info" and see your options for contacts calendars, etc..
