I lost all my inbox emails

while checking my inbox emails on 3g iphone. Suddenly refresh icon show up and then all my inbox email was deleted automatically.

What email service? POP or IMAC setup? If IMAC, do you or anyone else access the email account from another computer and possibly deleted the emails on the server from there? Did you look in the Trash folder?

  • Lost all my old email !!!

Then click the center box that says "enable this account."

  • I have lost all my old emails

Hi I have lost all my old emails, I have looked every where I can think of but can't find them, I have not deleted them, hope some one can help.

If you are sure that you did not delete them, try this.
Quit the mail app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Or try this. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • I have lost all my @me emails from past 2 years.

Today I added my husband as a secondary Icloud  account as up until today we have both been using the one Icloud account ( or @me account but same thing ) as it has been such a pain with 1 Imac between us, 2 Ipads and 2 Iphones.   I researched this site and  learned that I needed to set up a separate user account for him on my IMac.  I did that.  Then I created a new email for him. I think I did a good job of sorting him out and now he has all his Notes, Emails and Addresses that are separate from mine. I didn't realize how much i screwed up until I logged onto my account and realized that I inadvertently lost ALL of my incoming @me emails. Considering this is my main email account I am in shock.
Everything is gone. Zero ...except for the Sent Mails i still have.
I really don't know what I did. I was very careful during the process.   I am so frustrated with Apple because  I used to really  like the mobile me account and was  able to share photos and documents no problem. Since the Icloud I have still not really figured out . It' s like Apple went from a very simple and easy system to a mess.  I was happy to pay my $99 a year for . Now it is free and a royal pain.
I especially don't understand why all the Icloud emails stored on my Mailbox on my IMac are also deleted. I thought those were saved on my hard drive.
    My Imac is version 10.7.5
    My Iphone is verison 6.1.3
    My Ipad is version 5.1.1
My husband's iphone is version 6.0.1
My husband's ipad is version is 7.0.4
I Thankyou for any advice whatsover !!!

Thank Goodness for Time Machine.  I was able to restore from a recent back up.
However as a follow up I now have a glitch in that Icloud email will only restore from oldest to newest.  My Icloud.com account is fine. All my email are in chronological order from newest to oldest.
With the help of support from this site I was able to confirm that the problem is not resolved by disabling mail and then enabling again or even from deleting the Icloud Email Account and then reloading.  It is exactly the same.
The only way I can get yesterday's email on my devices is to load 5000 emails starting back in 2010.
I think I caused a glitch when I was restoring from Time Machine.  It was late at night and it was taking a long time so I went to bed thinking it would just continue on.  Well i should have taken my computer out of Sleep Mode because my Imac must have powered down somehow causing the glitch.
Although you would think that I would also have a corrupted email account on Icloud.com
who knows....... the reason why i tend to live with problems rather than correct them because i hate it when stuff like this happens when you do................

  • Is there a way you can delete all you inbox emails at once?

I have the iPhone 4S and my email is getting annoying because every time I get a new email now it marks all the past emails as unread. I have over 5,000 emails in my inbox so I figured I would delete most of it but my problem is that you can only delete one message at a time. Is there a way to delete all at once? Or tell me where I can go so I can complain to Apple?

    Hi Hagrid.
What about telling us what it is is that you may have done that could have a bearing on this? It looks like you’ve done something you shouldn’t:

  • My mail was reset somehow and now I've lost all my inboxes and emails. How do I get these back??

There was some sort of power failure and all the computers in my office turned off. When we turned them back on all were fine except one which had its Mail reset and all of the inboxes had been wiped.
How do I retrieve them? It's vital I have access to past emails.

    Hi,
You don't keep it Here ?

  • BB Q5 lost all text msgs, emails, call lost

    Hello,
Please advice my Q5 suddenly lost yestarday all emails and text messages, and the call log just cleared itself.
I havent done any update or software change lately.
    Any idea ?
    Thanks,
    Tomas

The latter. Your email should restore from your email server as part of reintegrating the account to the device. But SMS messages are probably lost, along with call logs and other things. Depending on how your device is configured, you may get other things also back from your email server (e.g., contacts and calendar, if you were using your email server as your primary storage for those).
The time to take backups of priceless data is before things go wrong. If you were taking regular backups of your data, then you'd have that as the source of a restore. If you took no backups, then that was a risk you chose to take. After all, there are only two kinds of computing device users: those who have lost data, and those who will. Migrating from the latter to the former is often a very painful experience.
Hence, btw, no one can guarantee that you won't lose things again...hence the importance of regular backups, to protect your priceless data in the event of a failure of the (commodity) device.
    Good luck!

  • Lost all my saved email.

I had archived all my old mail in a main folder and sub-folders. These folders had disappeared with all the archived and saved messages. I can’t find them anywhere. Can anyone help?

Were these custom “On My Mac” mailboxes or were they custom mailboxes stored on the server of an IMAP or .Mac account?
Report the names of the files and folders present at the first level of the ~/Library/Mail/ folder.
In order to post the exact file names and avoid typing mistakes, proceed as follows. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/. With that folder open, if you’re looking at it in View > as List mode, first collapse any expanded folders so that the Finder only shows the files and folders at the first level of ~/Library/Mail/. Now, do Edit > Select All (⌘A), then Edit > Copy (⌘C), and paste it in your reply to this post.
Before actually posting that information, you may edit it so that the file/folder names do not reveal any details you wish to keep private, e.g. you may replace any real username with “username” to hide your real email address if you wish; similarly, you may disguise any domain names you don’t want to be revealed. Try to be consistent in how you disguise those details, though, as we may need to refer to them in subsequent posts.
Now, go to ~/Library/Mail/Mailboxes/. With that folder open, repeat the procedure to let me see the names of the files and folders it contains. Again, you may disguise any mailbox names you wish to keep private. Be careful to not alter any suffixes, though.
Do you see anything there that could be related to the missing mailboxes (don’t try to fix anything yet)?
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. You can easily locate any of the folders referred to in this post by copying the folder path here, doing Go > Go to Folder in the Finder, and pasting the folder path there.

  • I lost all my inbox messages

    Dear all,
Few days ago, I stoped retrieving messages from my pop mail provider for some reason. Since I didn't know how to fix it or where the problem was, I've done something very stupid.
I deleted my pop account from my Mail and created a new one with the same set up.
Well, it turned out that all my mails from that account are gone together with it.
Now I lost many important work and personal informatio and I oughta know weather ther's a way to recupe it.
I'm desperate, and feeling very dumb!
    Thanks for any cooperation.

  • How can I recover all my MAIL emails lost after upgrading to TIGER?

    Hello,
I just bought Mac OSX Tiger today and after upgrading from the previous Mac OSX and after launching Mail, I discovered that all my INBOX emails were LOST!!!
I still have the Draft emails, the Sent emails and Trash but no trace of my 1,425 ancient and precious INBOX emails!
Please help me recover them. I tried lots of ways to get them back but cannot find them. I'd like to also understand what happened.
    Thank you!
    iBookG4

HI Greta, Did you Clean Install Tiger, or Upgrade from a previous OS? as if the latter, you might find them in the ARchived files.
I upgraded to Tiger in December and it caused problems with mail but I didnt lose the messages. So I am thinking you did a clean install.
Post back with more info please

  • Lost all sent email on iCloud ?

Seems like I lost all my sent emails on icloud today...anybody experience the same problem.

I'm having a similar issue but in regard to all my emails in my Inbox.
Interestingly, I still have a few emails going back to 2007 and 2008 in the inbox but everything from then to know is gone on my Mac in Apple Mail.
My emails appear to still be on my iOS devices and online in iCloud just lost on my MacBook Pro.
I called Apple Support and they want to charge me $20 to help me even though I'm already PAYING for my iCloud account, not the free version.

  • Last night, mail suddenly lost all my emails, which were stored in mailboxes.  What happened and how can I find my lost files?  I have the latest MacBookPro, running Lion 10.7.2 all software updates installed

Last night the mail application from Apple lost all my old emails, which were stored in mailboxes, neatly sorted by category.  What happened and how do I find them?
Details:  I shut down mail to run errands outside my office.  My late model MacBook Pro was on "sleep".  When I returned, I opened the application, and (RATS!) all the mailboxes were missing.  They just evaporated.
Operating system:  10.7.2 - all software updates installed and current as of 24 hours ago (12-30-11, 6 AM EST).
ln the mail program, the trash folder is OK and the sent folder is OK.
Yesterday, I did no maintenance on my mail folders.
    HELP!

1 - the sudden disappearance of my 22 mailboxes, used to sort the emails that I need to file for future use
That was most likely the result of some kind of corruption, as I've already said, not a bug in Mail.  Have you repaired the hard drive with Disk Utility recently?  That wouldn't be a bad idea.
2 - at random times, mail (or the server) says that my password is incorrect and I must reenter (fix:  usually I can quit mail, restart, and the connection is restored without reentering my password)
This is a known issue, where a failure to respond promptly on the server's end mimics what happens when the password is rejected.  There's no need to quit Mail, just cancel when asked to enter the password, take the account back online and try again.
3 - mail seems to resort the mail in my mailboxes at random time.  Several times a day, I must reset the sort to (a) by date; (b) by desending
Never seen that before.  That points more to some kind of possible corruption in your Mail data or preference files.

  • TS2776 Was synking my I-phone for the first time and lost all my phone and email contacts.  Previously have just been synking I-pod music.  How can I restore my i-phone information?

I was synking my I-phone 4 for the first time.  After synking I lost all phone and email contacts.  How can I restore or undo the synking process?

If you have a backup, you can restore your last backup with itunes.
