I LOST ALL MY MOVIES

I made 8 movies. They are all gone!!!!!!!!!! I don't know whether to cry or throw this computer out the window. Is there anything I can do to get my movies back?????? I was able to find the icons for the movies in the Finder. Clicking on them opened up IMovie, but not the movies themselves. I think IMovie was working better before the updates. This is preposterous. Please, can anybody help me?

Thanks for the suggestions. I made the movies in '08. I looked for the Project Folder in the Finder Menu (GO). It said the folder cannot be found.
I don't know much about computers (which is why I thought Apple would be a good choice with its user-friendly reputation). My question is: when you say to drag the movie to another disc, what kind of disc are you referring to?
Also, do you think a desk top would be less likely to have these glitches than a laptop. I don't want to throw bad money after good, but the IMovie and IPhoto programs have been quirky since I got the computer. I was assuming it was my fault, being so unsavy about computers. Now I realize it's the computer. I really want to be able to use these programs. Any thoughts about the advisability of getting a desk top? I love the look of the new one where the hard disc is in the screen.
I soooooo appreciate the help. As you can imagine, Apple hasn't been too helpful.

If they are still on your Mac's drive then you should be able to add them back into iTunes via File > Add To Library

All content that you download from the store is tied to the account that downloaded it. Depending upon what country that you are in (and whether you've changed countries since buying the films), then if the films are still in your country's store (and those film studios allow redownloading) then you might be able to log into your old account and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes.
Logging into an account and redownloading its purchases may tie your computer to that account for 90 days : iTunes Store: Associating a device or computer to your Apple ID - so you won't be able to use iTunes Match, automatic downloads or redownload your new account's purchases until the 90 days have completed (it shouldn't affect new purchases). And, depending upon what you've already done with your new account, you may already be in a 90 day association to that account.

I reset my iPad 2 and I lost all my movies but everything else was on iCloud how can I get my movies back?

I backed up my iPad before I reset it and all my tv series and music and photos was on my iCloud but when I tried to redownload them from the purchased section but when I tried none of my movies I bought was there if there is anyone way I can get them back without buying them again tell me please!

If you are in the US then you should be able to download some or all of your films : re-downloading. If you are not in the US then have you not got them on your computer's iTunes and/or on a backup ?

My computer shot down a couple of times, so I went to have it repaired. The technician needed to reboot the whole system so he save my movies, t.v. shows, apps, music and all on another harddrive. While he was at it I requested to have him installed the new window version Windows 7 Professionnel. Since that awful idea of mine, not only can I not watched or have acces to my movies, t.v. shows, music etc. now the system is telling me there is an incompatibility with windows and Itune, but before this I upgraded Itunes to version 10.06 something, so now the movies that I download work alright they just don't have sound anymore. I can listen and play with my games and all and the sound is fantastic but I soon as I use Itunes, I hear silence and it freezes all the time. I am ****** at Itunes for not being able to help me out, everytime I tried to have contact with a technician I also hear silence, ain't that a kick in the butt. So can anyone out there help me, I have tried many things suggested by people that had the same problem but to no vail, nothing works. I am also wondering about my 300 movies and 400 songs that I have paid for, what will Itunes do to help me out?

I have read a lot of suggestions concerning my problem, the thing is I don't have the option of Re-downloading and in the file menu when I get my library options I don't even have the option of backing up my movie, music, apps, and I don'tt have the Purchased option under my quick links for some unknown reason. Open itunes store Click "Purchased" under "Quick Links", simply does not work for me. I certainly would like to contact itunes support who would kindly granted me a one time re-download of my purchased music. But then don't answer my cry for help, so again I am stuck with nothing after I bought over 1000.00 dollars worth of movies, music, apps and I don' t have acces to any of it. Thank you Apple for making me feel like a valued customer,

I just lost all the movies i had purchased after i authorized my computer

I have just authorized my computer and I lost the movie that I wanted to put onto my iPhone 5. I have no idea where it has gone, and yes I have looked everywhere.

Was it purchased under a different Apple ID? If so, you may need to deauthorize and then authorize again under the Apple ID that you used when originally purchased the movie. If that isn't the case, you will want to contact iTunes Support.

Lost All Songs, Movies, ETC. After I Registered My IPod

Hi all,
I loaded up my 80GB IPod with songs, audiobooks, TV, etc. All was fine. Now, everything is gone off the IPod except the one photo I placed on it via IPhoto and one game. Is it possible that when I later registered the IPod (I had forgotten to do that), that it wiped out all the content? All items still appear in I-Tunes, just gone from IPod.

if you performed an ipod restore to get to the ipod registration bit then yeah it will wipe of all the stuff youve got on your ipod. but atleast youve still got all your music and video files in itunes

Media (music, fillms, tv shows) can only downloaded once, which is why you are advised to make and maintain backups - are you sure that re-installing iTunes has removed your content, and it's not just that you havn't told iTunes where your content is ?

Lost All Movie Files on last Re-Sync Please Help

I recently connected my iTouch 3g 8gb model to iTunes and when I synced the iTouch I lost all my movies adn my audio books. When I select the itouch device and then movies in the iTunes window, I still see that movies listed but no way to get to them? Is there a way to restore or back up to a point before the last time I when I synced, or a way to recover the movies that are listed as mentioned above.

Lost my entire movie collection on itunes?

alright so i don't know how this happened but all my movies that i legitimately bought off of itunes are gone. They still show up in my library, but whenever i try to watch them, it says this ( with the royal tenenbaums for example.)

Unless you can find them. My movies are in my user account/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Movies.
The link I provided earlier is Apple's policy on redownloads. You may be able to talk the iTunes Store Support Team into allowing another download, but I've heard that each download results in an Apple payment to the content providers. Is there some way to move everything?

No, do not re-import your images. I assume you can see the thumbnails in the library module, just cannot access the full images, right? If this is the case there should be an exclamation mark in the top right corner of every one of your pictures and you only have to tell LR where the images are now.
Click the exclamation mark of one of the images and a dialog window should pop-up, telling you that LR cannot find the file, but with an option to locate it. Press "Locate" and navigate to the folder on your new HD where the file is. If in the new external HD you kept the same folder structure that you had on the internal disk, LR will be able to find all your images and re-link them to the database without further intervention.
