I lost all my phone contacts after updating my iPhone 4 to iOS5. It's not just contacts, my photos, messages, mail and everything is gone. I did the back-up thing on iTunes too before I updated the iOS. The only thing that restored was the apps. Is there anyway to get this back?

If you no longer have service with AT&T, I don't believe you can.

If you have an Icloud backup, sign in to your account. It will reload your contacts. If over a computer, use a previous device backup, or in the sync menu of your devce, go to mail and contacts and select the info you want to copy to your iphone, if you have the contact info on your computer. If by chance dont have icloud, or a previous backup to itunes, then I'm afraid that your contacts are gone. This is why I went to Icloud as soon as I got ios 5. Hope this helps

If you haven't been using your phone as recommended by synching your contacts to your computer (Outlook, Address Book) or a cloud service then they're gone.
Now would be a really good time to read the User Guide and learn how to properly use your phone. Used properly, you should never have data loss again.

Does she normally sync to the MAC? IF she does, she can restore her phone from a backup, if she has one.
If she doesn't normally sync to the MAC then she can sync back to her PC and then restore to her backup.

Lost all BB Messenger contacts during update to version 5

I have a Blackberry Curve 8520, firstly. I simply wanted to transfer some pictures to my laptop, and then I see something about an update for the Desktop Manager. There also happened to be the update to version 5.
Now silly me, I didn't make a back-up as I didn't know that this update would remove all my info.... I assumed it was just the applications (which I can install again) but I realized I've lost all my BB contacts. (Of course I didn't back up that info either.. geez...)
What I want to know is because I've registered before, shouldn't my info still show up in my contacts' lists? Isn't there a way for me to restore my contacts without adding them all over again? And can't they still msg me?

My iPhone lost the connection to Apple TV frequently after updating to 6.0.1 but it worked well before.
It is time to update the os for Apple TV? Or there is a bug in 6.0.1 for iPhone?

Hello there, I'm in deep stuff and I seriously need help.....Yesterday I plugged in my Iphone 4 to Itunes for a back up after the back up was done it asked me to update my Iphone so I did after it was done it asked me to restore it and I did but somehow the backup from last night was replaced from the backup after the update...this is what COMPLETELY blows my mine...where did that backup go? any suggestions? PLEASE someone help me i had over 4000 pictures from my sweet 16 and when i went on vacation i need them....God bless whoever finds me a solution and sorry if I'm not making sense <3.

You should be importing all pics taken with the iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera, particularly before any update or restore.
You should also be syncing your contacts to your computer regularly. They hsould be in whatever program/service that you have selected to sync.
If you have failed to do this, then they are very likely gone.
You can try restoring from backup.

Contacts are not a part of backup (only favourites and recent calls list are backed up). Contacts are synced with a compatible programme on your computer (Outlook, Windows Contacts, Addressbook etc) or with a cloud service (iCloud, Yahoo, Google).
Sync them back from the programme you were using for backing up your contacts.
If you have not been backing up your contacts to either of these programmes, then they are gone.

I recently purchased the software update for my iPod touch, and have now lost all of my purchased music from my iTunes. How can I get it back?

Your music is normally stored in your iTunes library (which is how it was originally synced to your phone) and syncing with iTunes would transfer it back to your phone. If it isn't in your iTunes library your only option is to re-import it and then sync it to your phone. Music has never been included in the iPhone backup. (When you restore an iCloud backup it merely redownloads your purchased music from the iTunes store.)
------But my music from ripped CDs and playlists are now missing from my iTunes library on my commuter too after I upgraded/downloaded the latest iTunes version that was suggested. 11.0 I think? So if I don't have the CDs to rip again, the music is pretty much lost then huh?

Aren't you using your phone as recommended and synching your contacts with your computer (Address Book, Outlook) or a cloud service? Just synch them back.
If you're not using your phone as recommended then your contacts are likely gone. Lesson learned.

I just upgraded my iPhone 4S to a iPhone 5... The transferring of information was fairly painless. EXCEPT I've lost all my calender entries for the standard issue iPhone calender as well as my Female tracker.... This is important information and I cannot seem to get access to it even though I backed up everything. What can I do? I'm going to miss important appointments!
