You need to provide more details about what happened. But, here is something you can check.
When you run Photo and it converts your library, it doesn't delete the iPhoto library. Look in your Pictures folder - you should see two libraries:
iPhoto Library.migratedphotolibrary (this is the original iPhoto library)
Photos Library.photoslibrary (this is the new Photos library)
You should still be able to open the original iPhoto library. The iPhoto application was not deleted from your computer. (It was probably removed from your Dock if you had an icon there.) Look in the Applications folder, find iPhoto, and run it. It should show your original library with all your original images.
It is always a good idea to back up your photos (and the iPhoto library) before trying these migrations. Problems do occur...

Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63) is what I have, 10.8 Mountain Lion is what I'm asking about. To be even more clear, I'm a graphic designer, I have dozens for programs that if I have to reintall, I'll need to close my business for at least two days.

Apple maps is really bad & Siri doesn't work well in my country & i lost all my books when i upgrade

The most expected app for ios6 was the new map app. It really blow my mind how bad it is: always giving bad locations, tiny streets, traffic doesn't work, BIG etc.
So, When are you planning to correct all these error?
when apple says that siri is going to be working in another countries in ios6 i was expecting location of places fixed. Didn't happened.

You're not addressing apple, and none of us know the answer to those questions. I you have synchronized your iPhone before then you should have copies of your evokes. If those were purchases then they can be easily downloaded again in iBooks.
Maps is not the finest thing apple has ever done, they even acknowledge that, and there's other apps that can do the work you need, such as Waze and google maps, both are free so maybe give them a try.
Anyway, yeah. These forums are not read by apple staff members so nothing we can do.

Lost all my diary entries after upgrading from iPhone 4S to iPhone 5!t

I just upgraded my iPhone 4S to a iPhone 5... The transferring of information was fairly painless. EXCEPT I've lost all my calender entries for the standard issue iPhone calender as well as my Female tracker.... This is important information and I cannot seem to get access to it even though I backed up everything. What can I do? I'm going to miss important appointments!

Lost all my preferences when I upgraded to Mountain Lion.

I upgraded my Xeon to Mountain Lion from Lion
I had my System and Apps on Drive 1. I keep my data on Drive 2.
When I installed the new system the installer would not recognize Drive 1. Said it was not "journaled". It would not let me install the system without me wiping the drive. So I Installed the system on Drive 2.
How do I get the System Disk (Drive 2) to see all my old preferences?
How do I get the new system to recognize all my Apps on drive 1?
How do I get all my Mailboxes, local mail and such over to Drive 2? When I tried to import my mail the import wizard would not recognize Drive 1.

I would
1. Boot from disk 1 to your old operating system
2. Get another external disk that us the same size in gb
3. Format the external disk as mac osx extended journaled using disk utility
4. Get SuperDuper (free) and clone your disk 1 to the external

5. Once disk 1 is cloned to your external check you can boot from external disk
6. Once booted from external disk then do an upgrade
7. After making sure all is ok on booted external then use SuperDuper to clone from external to disk 1
8. Boot to disk 1 after cloned and check again.

HT4061 I lost all my apps when I upgraded my software

I upgraded my software and lost some apps.

I tried this and it did not work for. When I go to the APP Store it think the apps are on my devide so I cannot download them again unfortunately I cannot find teh apps on my devide even if I search for them.
ALso if I re-sync with itunes the apps reinstall but immediately disappear after the install completes.
Neat trick but incredibly annoying.
Any know my next option.

Calendar lost all alert files when I upgraded-..

I use a LOT of events in Calendar that run either Applescript apps or Automator alarms.
Since I updated to Mavericks, it seems that all of the pointers to the app files are gone.
When I go in to re-establish the links to the files to "open" (Alert->Open File->"other".......)
Sometimes when I click "other", a window will open for me to navigate and select the file. That is how it should work. yay!
Except many times when I click on "other", nothing happens. If I click okay, then the default of Calendar is saved (so when the alarm fires, it opens Calendar). If I click Cancel, the whatever the default alert action (sound.....) is what is saved.
When the alarms that I have been successful about fixing do fire, they work as they should (run the applescript or automator workflow). That is good.
This seems to be specifically a Calendar issue, as most other things are working as they should.
Except a folder action to rename files dropped on it.
But that is for a different thread.
Any assistance or suggestions or insight into how to fix my Calendar would really be appreciated. My entire operation is dependent on the calendar running the Applescript or Automator apps.

No help here, but I'm having something similar to this. When I create a new Open File Alert with an Automator Calendar Workflow as the target, the alert vanishes from the event a few seconds after I save it.

I lost all my bookmarks when I upgraded to 3.6.8 and Firefox was not at all helpful. How can I get my bookmarks back?

I tried the torbutton suggestion from firefox, but there was no torbutton or explanation of how to get one. I installed a torbutton and that did nothing. I am at a loss.

Need to restore from and older backup because I lost all my contacts when I upgraded my phone

my backup that was created is saying it needs a password and I didn't give it one. Which password is it requesting? Also the second question is how do I restore from a old back up, I am needing to get my contacts back.

If the backup is asking for a password you may have turned on backup file encryption. If this is the case, and you don't remember the encryption password you could be out of luck.

Lost all Apple App's in Upgrade from G5 Dual 2.5GHz to the G5 Quad

I just got the new G5 Quad and did the Firewire rehost of all my data. Interstingly enough, all my app's like Reason, PhotoShop, Premier, Poser, Bryce, Maya, even MS Office and ZBrush moved right over with their respective serial numbers however Shake, Motion, Soundtrack Pro, Final Cut Pro HD, Compressor, LiveType and Cinema Tools all refuse to work without their serial numbers being re-entered. If you try to re-enter your serial# it tells you it is no good.
All I could do was throw all the Apple professional applications away and re-install them. Then the system would accept the same serial #'s it refused to accept before. I'm not sure is will work for all Pro App's yet as I've only had time to do Shake and Motion.
Anyone else seen this?

Did you use the Migration Assistant? If so, that could be the problem. It probably didn't copy some important invisible files. I always suggest using Carbon Copy Cloner via Firewire Target Disk mode to clone a drive over.

Lost all Address Book info upon upgrading from Snow Leopard to Mavericks.

Contacts is empty. I did a Carbon Copy Clone before upgrading so I have the abcddb file, but not sure what to do with it to get the info into Contacts. Thanks for any input.

I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with your iPad. If you are having issues accessing your Shared Albums from your iPad (but not from your other devices), you may want to double-check your iCloud Photo Sharing configuration as outlined in the following articles, just to make sure it hasn't changed:

i was on windows 7 and i had to format my computer i put windows vista on and when i downloaded itunes and sync my iphone i lost all my photos music and apps that was on my phone,my itunes account says i have got to accounts on two computers?? is there anyway i can get anything back? please help me. i have tried restore to back up but it is the same????

If they really meant that much to you, they would have been copied off to a computer at the earliest possible opportunity.
I personally find it amazing that people get so upset when pictures "accidentally" get deleted and then scream about how important they are. You wouldn't leave important paper work lying around to be lost/damaged/stolen, so why take a chance with important pictures on a device that can so easily be lost/damaged/stolen, or deleted by a child.
