I lost itunes on my computer and lost downloaded content that I payed for. How do I get it back?

When you say that you lost iTunes do you just mean the program or your content ? Have you checked to see if the content is still on your computer but not in iTunes ?
If not then do you not have a backup of your purchases on, for example, external drives or CDs or DVDs ? If you have then you can copy that onto your computer and add it back into iTunes. If you havn't then if they are still available in the iTunes store (and content is occasionally removed so you should make/maintain your own backups and not rely on re-downloading) and if you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to purchase them, then you should be able to re-download apps and ibooks, and if you are in the US music and TV shows, for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 . If you are not in the US and you want to re-download music or tv shows then you can try contacting Apple and asking for a re-download, but they are under no obligation to let you : http://www.apple.com/uk/support/itunes/contact/

I presume you deleted the original files as match would not have done so. Do you have a back up. If so, restore your music from that. If not, your will have lost all your music as this needed to be on your hard drive when you unsubscribed.

Did you have your phone backed up to icloud or to another computer?
connect your iPhone to your computer with a usb cable
open iTunes
go to Storage
find the "Restore" button
click on it.

- If photos were in your iPod Camera Roll, just restoe from backup. If they were synced to the iPOd you have to get them from where you got them the first place

- For other music you will hae to get it from where you got it the first time.

I synced to a different computer and it erased the music of my iPod how do I get it back?

I recently purchased a new iPod and I was transfering to songs from my old iPod touch to my computer to my new one. When I synced my old one it erased all of my songs. I went on ITunes to see if I could redownload them and it said that the music had already been purchased but it wasn't on my old iPod or new one. If you could please let me know how I could fix that it would be greatly appreciated!

OK, so on your new computer, are you logged on with the same iTunes logon that you had on the old computer? If so, then you can go into the iTunes Store on that computer, and re-select each of the songs or albums you had previously purchased (one at at time). Be sure to select the exact same song or album (for instance, if a particular song is available on two different albums, or by itself, be sure that you select the same place you originally selected that song from). Then select the "Buy" button. It will ask for your AppleID password - key it in and press Enter.
iTunes should come back to you and say "You have already purchased this song. Do you want to download it again for free?" Say yes, and it will download your previously purchased song to your new iTunes Library. Once it is downloaded, sync your iPod, and you should be all set!
Note: if it says are you sure you want to purchase it - then you have either selected the wrong "version" of the song/album or have not signed on with the AppleID originally used to purchase that song/album.

My iTunes library is "damaged" and now thousands of songs are missing. How do I get them back without re-importing each one?

I tried to open my library and it said the library had been corrupted and saved as a damaged file. When it finally opened thousands of songs were missing. I can't re-download and then re-import each of these songs. I tried to repair the library after going into programs and clicking repair but it did not restore the missing content. I have the lastest version of iTunes. With Apple tech support being a PITA to actually get in touch with I'm hoping someone here can help.

send an email to the iTS customer service using this form and ask the folks there nicely if you can re-download the files.
it has been reported here that you can sometimes get one free redownload request granted but never more than one.

Re-downloading of movies has been licensed by the movie studios only in the US as of right now. I'm guessing, since you refer to "films", that your're not in the US and if so will not be able to download your movies again without paying. You'll need to restore from your backups.

Is the iPod still singed into the account isn Settings>iTunes and App Stores and SettingsZ>iCloudl? If it is then I would not be concerned.

For the other "problem", go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and check the box that says Prevent iPod....automatically syncing.

If the old laptop was a mac also, then use your Time Machine backup to restore you user settings and files.

If you are now in the US then you can only use the US store, so you should update the address on your account
Changing country : Change the country of your iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and Mac App Store account.
Had you copied the songs over to your computer's iTunes library, do they show in the Music section on it ? You can copy purchases that you still have on your iPad over to your computer's iTunes library via the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases menu option

Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder (and all other desired data) from the old computer to the new computer.
