I lost most of my gmails on my mac and now on my gmail (web version) as well. What can I do to retrieve them?

I used to be able to read all of my gmails (the ones I haven't deleted from years ago) on my mac (email app). Recently I lost access to most of them, mail only displaying emails I got a couple of weeks ago
I bought a plane ticket last month and now I can't find the reservation code... so could really use some help retrieving all of my old emails
Any ideas? I have maverik and I've read that there's been issues with it.

I didn't change anything so I'm not sure what happened. I used to be able to see all my stored emails from years ago and now it's only showing me emails from a week ago
The airline is not the only problem. I have important info that I have to recover...

Hi voyant
I would put the Users folder back... moving it will cause a lot of issues with applications.
Instead you can just copy individual files/folders from C:\Users\your_username\Documents,Pictures,Music.... to your D drive to save space on C.

Delete the entries from iTunes and then redownload them.

Copy everything from the old computer or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.
Type "move itunes library from pc to mac" or similar into the google search bar.

I D/L'd a trial version of LR 5 and lost all my catalog and collections in LR 4. What can I do to get them back?

Yesterday I D/L'd a trial version of LR 5.6 and during installation it seemed to be copying my catalog from my LR 4.4. Now nearly all of my catalog and all my collections in LR 4 have disappeared. What has happened to them andhow do I get them back. The original photos seem to still be available in the myphotos directory on the computer, but without any of my lightroom editing.

Photostream keeps your photos for download to other devices for 30 days, once they are gone, you can find them on other devices that you have enabled photostream to work with. So if you have Computer, and use photostream - they are in photostream folder in pictures or iphoto. If you didn't use computer, they are gone.

You can download the software from the website and then type in your old serial number to activate it... that is, IF the installer database will work with your operating system. I am having problems reinstalling CS4 with a new computer running on Win 8.1. When I called customer support, they told me a whole lot of nothing for 45 minutes and then directed me to a chat session. After about 30 minutes on chat, I was basically told they don't offer support for older products. The website says "no known issues" for installation... but that very well may be because they are unwilling to record the issues when someone calls to report them! Good luck with your install. I wish I had CS5 at this point, as it appears there is still support available for it... but you are on the bubble timewise for that to continue. Other downloads

If you have no backups, and data has been lost, then it's lost forever. The rest of your data will inevitably follow if you don't back up.

What were you syncing them to? Have you looked in the address book on your computer to see if they are still there? Were you ever syncing them to the address book on your computer? If not, they are most likely gone. You may be able to restore from an earlier backup, but contacts are meant to be synced with an address book or cloud service.

If the above doesn’t do the trick entirely, then use the instructions in the following as it applies to the version of Windows you are using:
HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP
HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
You may be required to boot into safe mode to complete the folder deletion process.
